I originally had a problem with where the Dash button was in accordance to the jump and shoot buttons. The PSP's face buttons are more closely together than the PS2s, and for me that causes a problem because I couldn't get my fingers just right to both dash-jump and dash-shoot.

So yeah, I remapped the controls the way I liked 'em, and after that I had no problems.

How ya doing, buddy?

Yeah, I used R trigger or the D-pad (double tap) to dash instead of circle. Circle was no good for dashing while having a charged shot or co-ordinating a wall dashjump.

I.Q. Mania, Sakura Taisen 1&2, and Tokimeki Memorial are both coming out in 2 days for the PSP. Tokimeki Memorial is the famous dating sim (as is Sakura Taisen). I like the game, but the PSP version is just a port. No extras or anything - just like Princess Crown. I have the Saturn versions of both, so there's no point in buying them. I.Q., though, I'm really looking forward to. I haven't played the original in years.

It seems like all Sega (and a lot of other companies) has been doing lately as far as PSP releases go is putting ports (and not remakes) on the system - particularly Saturn remakes.

Still... I want my PSP back.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Ive been away from the whole PSP scene for awhile, so what are the "hot" import titles right now? and even domestic ones.

I got most of that from reading the page. But I still have the same question "Does it require a GTA UMD?", do I need to load the GTA game first, then run the homebrew stuff?

Why would you want to upgrade a 1.0 or 1.5 firmware PSP if you're interested in emulators?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

yeh, same problem. I kinda wanted to combine the jump button and dash button together. Is that possible?

Valkyrie Profile Lenneth, port of the original Valkyrie Profile, was released 2 days ago in Japan. Naruto: Narultimate Portable, PSP version of the PS2 fighter, is hitting at the end of the month. Also, Innocent Life, thr next Harvest Moon title, is coming out pretty soon as well.

chato, Liebrty City Stories on the PS2 will likely cost $19.99 -- Greatest Hits price. GTA: San Andreas went down to $20 fairly recently, so I'd suspect Librty City Stories might do the same if only to bolster the lack of sales for the PSP version.

Does this happen to anyone else?
Every time I turn my PSP on, I sort of have to turn it on twice. I put the switch and see the display and hear the sound but then it turns off immediately, and the next time I turn it on in the same way, it stays on...
(got it used)

Yeah, something odd there. Try reformating the Memory Stick, and resetting the system defaults. If that doesn't work, you know you gotta trade it in, or something.

I have a psp since the launch (well almost since then). All I have so far are:

- Lumines
- Mercury
- Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade
- Rengoku The Tower of Purgatory
- Coded Arms
- Death Jr.
- Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories
- Kingdom of Paradise
- PQ: Practical Intelligence Quotient
- Exit

Most of them were blind purchases. But I'm not disappointed of any of them.

All I need now is a wireless router. Me wants extra levels for Exit

Oh well too bad for me, at least my save data isn't being wiped out.

I heard that an 8GB memory stick is coming out soon? To me that sounds like a lot, but I also heard these prices go above $100?

Above $100? Hell, the 2GB stick is $150, so expect an 8GB stick to be upwards of $300.

The 2GB stick is $110 at Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...Fencoding=UTF8

It's even cheaper, $90.88, at Newegg.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820191430

So... there ya go.

Then again, the 4gb stick that is coming out will premiere at 240 bucks (Link), so I'd still recommend the 2gb ones for now. Sandisk only, NOT sony.

The 8gb ones are rumored to be announced this year, but:
1. Why would you need that much space. I have a 2gig card and I can fit several movies, about half a dozen different television/anime episodes, all my save games, and still have a few hundred megs to spare at high quality AVC video. I wish a firmware upgrade would add the support for videos to be named and sorted like photos (and have an ability for folders). It's a bit silly scrolling through a ton of videos.
2. Who knows if the PSP can even support that many gigs, or if games can write to a card that big. Might require a firmware update to read that much.
3. Expensive as fuck until a year or two afterwards.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
