Hurley handled being mistaken for a charging polar bear pretty well. “Dude” was all he had to say about almost being killed, and he didn’t even take offense to the implied fat joke. Way to keep your head, Hurley! =)
I thought Eddie’s “Geronimo Jackson” t-shirt was a nice touch, until Mike went and pointed it out to everyone (in the world). I agree that the flashbacks were kinda lame, but overall it was a great episode. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Great episode! Been wondering when they were gonna show what had happend to Locke, Desmond, and Eko.
Just a question: Spoiler:
Most amazing jew boots |
I'm pretty sure that it implied that he was a farmer trying to impersonate a hunter. Afterall, it wasn't until he was on the island that Locke wasn't "lost" anymore, so he finally became the hunter that he always wanted to be. I have a feeling that we haven't seen the end of this flashback, but I could be wrong.
Locke being in the wheelchair probably started his "don't tell me what I can't do" phase, so I hope we will learn more about that this season. I was speaking idiomatically. |
Pffth, I thought this episode was pretty lame. (What else is new.)
Locke was looking to commune with the island, so he decided to drag out the LSD, build a sweat hut, and have visions of Boone. So lame. And the whole pot thing - totally predictable. Not to mention as soon as that kid (whatshisname) that Locke picked up said he wanted in for blowing shit up, you could tell he was a cop. Also, polar bear steals Eko. This is so laughable. Last-minute effort, guys? SINCE WHEN have polar bears ever dragged bodies off on the island? Since when have they even been a problem? Why would the polar bear even DRAG EKO BACK TO THE CAVE and not bother eating him. Ugh. What the fuck. That irritated me so much. Lets not even TALK about these two new fucktwats from the survivors - Nikki and Paulo or whoever. YEA HERE HAVE SOME NEW CHARACTERS. Why is it that this show seems to be HARDLY MOVING ALONG? I love this show. Seriously, I've never watched anything on TV religiously, but Lost is it for me. And they're REALLY fucking with me at this point. I am almost ready to give up the show, its getting so shit. ;_; What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
I think the writers just don't know what the hell to do with these characters anymore, so it's all a muddled mess. Next week looks like crap, too. preview:
Add in the fact that after the next 3 episodes, we'll have to wait until February, and you start to realize that this is all just the writers wasting time. LOST= the way to watch a shitload of commercials with a bit of show tacked on. FELIPE NO |
Spoiler:
You know, I am all about the romance between Kate and Sawyer, but SERIOUSLY. I am getting so sick of the gratuitous saccharine there, too. Stop slopping it all over your shitty episodes which are literally 1/4 commercials.
It's like trying to remember a person before they got cancer and died. You don't want to remember them lying in a goddamned hospital bed, choking on their own vomit. REMEMBER THE GOOD TIMES.
I thought they brought on new writers this season, no? What the hell happened, here. LeHah WARNED me about this. SO UPSET. ;_; (also, I would like to know what happened to Danielle. Where the black smoke is. so on and so forth) How ya doing, buddy? |

Loved the episode. The trippin' scene was brilliant I thought. I'm wondering if some of the thing Boone said are gonna happen. For example, when Locke pointed to Claire, Aaron and Charlie he said "they'll be ok...for now" or something like that. Might have to watch that scene again.
The only thing I didn't like was that they revealed that the Hatch was completely destroyed. I loved that bloody set... Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() >: 4 8 15 16 23 42 Long Live Lost LiveJournal: Latest Entry: My Political Leanings. Pfff, I used to love LOST. But every single new episode leaves me saying to myself "Wow, another 45 minutes of NOTHING" The whole rescueing Eko scene is such an obvious filler.
Come on, we all KNEW locke, Eko and Desmond would be ok. So no surprise there. We also could have guessed that locke was gonna be the first one to go after kate, sawyer and jack. If only for the fact that he desperately wants to know more about the others and the island and he's not gonna find out more on the beach now that the button is gone. And that's really all there was said :-s so it was just an absolutely EMPTY episode. And I still had some hope for the cliffhanger at the end, they usually give you something relatively good. But Desmond seeing into the future? Yeah... That's like, euh... hm. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
If you hate the frequent commercials, watch it online. ABC provides online viewing of Lost with limited commercials. Like you just have to wait 30 seconds. Then you can fast foward stuff you think are boring and stuff.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() Dance party! |
I think I can tolerate the commercials, no matter how numerous, and just use them as pee breaks or whatever. How's the watching online? Is it streaming? Most amazing jew boots |
I don't care about the commercials, I don't even watch them (I usually just browse on my computer during them, and when the show comes back on, I turn around).
However, the very fact that Lost is now becoming a very commercial-heavy show affects the storyline. It's obvious ABC wants to milk as much money out of it as they can (through advertising revenue), so the writers drag out the seasons. I almost wish Lost had never gotten popular. The story would have been resolved by now and we could have been watching some new show. I was speaking idiomatically. |

Have to admit I wasnt too impressed with this episode of lost. Im gonna put my post in spoiler tags though, cause I will probably give some stuff away by mistake.
Spoiler:
Well thats my opinion on the recent events in lost, im dissappointed to say the least, lets hope for some redemption in the next few. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]() |
There is no doubt that the writers are "extending" the show more than it needs to be, but I feel people are definitely over exaggerating it. It's not a credible negative against the show yet.
After watching episode three again, the two new characters are barely noticeable. Have we forgotten how Arzt was introduced? Ethan? Almost the exact same way. FELIPE NO |
Ethan is questionable, though. You weren't SUPPOSED to notice him. That was the entire point, though I admit he could have been expounded upon a little bit before hand. How ya doing, buddy? |
I never saw the first season, what's this Deja Vu thing that Hurley is talking about at the end?
Most amazing jew boots |
Wasn't he just talking about how it felt like Deja Vu to hear Locke's speech just the way Desmond described it earlier? I'm really hoping that they aren't actually giving Desmond precognitive abilities, but that dramatic focus on him at the end is worrying. Locke had visions too when Charlie went to get water and he imagined Eko talking to him, so it could still be passed off as a product of the hatch implosion. The three of them caught in the blast were just given visions in their daze or something.
There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |
Oh, OK. Dumb of me not to notice that before.
Yeah, Lost is getting pretty slow and irratating. BTW, if the hatch in underground and imploded, why would it make a surface crater at one specific point (most likely the hatch door.) Why not the side door that they had or any of the hallways/tunnels that the hatch had. The Others seemed to not care all too much about that hatch being imploded. If so, then what's the significance of it? Why go through all the trouble of Mr. Eko having his divine dream about pushing the button? Nothing bad seemed to be happening yet. Were they really brought by fate/ the island? Or is this all turning out to be a big coincidence and The Others are pretty much in control of everything, even those mysterious other hatches (which could mean absolutely nothing if they're not interested in them much.) This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Ehh, this weeks episode was a bit weird, though I somehow liked the flashback. Well, at least we know what happened to John and the others (not the Others) now.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Yea, about the hatch just IMPLODING and everyone surviving - that seems like an AWFULLY EASY WAY to get rid of the hatch. Exactly one season ago at this time, the hatch was of dire importance. Now, the hatch is completely gone, and all the mysteries with it (the button, the doors, the new appliances) are gone.
It seems like an easy way to get rid of it - especially when it turns out to be so inconsequential. EVERYTHING is turning out to be inconsequential. Thats whats pissing me off. ;_; I was speaking idiomatically. |
I'm still trying to figure out how exactly John and Desmond got out of this, uhh, "implosion" alive. And why was Desmond naked, etc.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
But I'm with everyone else - why didn't at least Desmond die in the implosion? I like Desmond and all - maybe more than Eko - but someone should have seriously died in that - Desmond was all wrapped up. He should have died. And also, Desmond says he put in the safety override key just before the implosion, which saved them all. Which I can't really swallow, considering the condition of the hatch. (Did anyone else think the hatch looked rather small, area-wise, when Charlie and Locke looked down on it?) FELIPE NO |
If Lost stays the way it is right now, I sure won't miss it during the winter break.
I read somewhere that Terry O'Quinn was given the opportunity to play the Locke he wants to this season. Damn, does Locke suck now. The flashback was totally useless this time, didn't say a bit about the character, just used to introduce the "sweat lodge" >_> Also, great way to introduce the new characters. The way they talked to Hurley, I already dislike them. Oh, and Desmond looking into the future, isn't that *one* mystery too much for where the show's at right now. In season 5 the characters will be flying all over the island with their newly acquired abilities and no explanation given. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]() |
As for the show, Spoiler:
Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() Dance party! |
Hurley said Deja Vu because Desmond had mentioned, "good speech" to him before (out of the blue), and then someone said "good speech" later after Locke talked. It means that Desmond has some "seeing-the-future" bullshit. God I hate what this show's become. How ya doing, buddy? |
I'm somewhat curious. Maybe Desmond IS dead, and Hurley (and Locke) were just imagning him. Hurley has the history of seeing imaginary people. He was at that mental hospital thingamabobberer, in Season 1 I think. And Locke, he's always seeing things, especially the last episode in that sweat room or whatever it was called with that "vision" of his. And hence Hurley's "deja vu": maybe, maybe not. Edit: nevermind, not. :/
Also, wouldn't this be Desmond's first time in the village? Wouldn't there have been more of a commotion over this? I'm also trying to remember if Hurley's even met Desmond prior to this. I think he did... I just forget since Season 2 never really held my attention. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
