After months of waiting, finally a used copy of Ikaruga showed up online.
I asked a few questions to the online merchant, and the next day, it was paid. Should arrive in the mail around friday.

I also got a used copy of PN03 at a local Blockbuster. Just because.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

So I had an interesting shopping spree at Best Buy tonight. I had checked that they had Final Fantasy VI Advance in stock, so I had to go get that since I've been humming "Terra" all month. I'll probably get around to playing the game for the fourth time in five years this weekend. =p

Next to FFVIA I saw one box for Wario Ware: Twisted!, a game that's been on my list for a while but figured I'd have to eBay at some point (because I didn't think I'd ever see it in a store). So I got that since I've been on a Wario Ware high lately (completed Smooth Moves last week). =p

Of course I was also optimistic about Wii Play being in stock, but it wasn't. However, I saw one copy of Sonic and the Secret Rings left. ONE COPY! And that word "Secret" is full of so much intrigue. Instant impulse buy!

Finally, on checkout there were a bunch of bargain games there in a box. Inside, I saw a new Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater for $10. I remembered seeing it in the PS2 aisle for $30, so I figured I should jump on this too, and then just back out if it wasn't. The cashier rang it up manually for $10. Awesome.

It was a very :nazwin: night. I'd rather not look at the amount I ended up signing for though. It was not $30. ;_;

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I picked up Sonic and the Secret Rings tonight at Best Buy as well. With my $10 gift card and $10 off coupon I printed off Cheapassgamer, I came out pretty well.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Are things really that hard to find up there? Because I see like ten copies of that game at almost every store I go to (Gamestop, Circuit City, Target, etc.) for less than $20.

But anyway, I finally found a copy of Boktai today. I got it used at Gamestop (because there was no way I was ever gonna find this game new) for only $7. I wanted to have it for whenever I decide to get Lunar Knights (I know it's not a real sequel to it, but still). Now to try and find the second game...

My copy of Ar Tonelico came in about a week ago and I binged on it all weekend. Now classes are catching up so I haven't had time to play recently, but what I have played (about 13 hours in) has been awesome.

Dunno. It just seems that titles I want are never there where and when I want them to be. But for that Wario Ware: Twisted! game, it isn't even listed on the GameStop or Best Buy web site anymore, so seeing it there was unexpected.

My latest was Ar Tonelico. Now clocked at around 30 hours (bought it Monday last week), one of my women at level 9 Cosmosphere level and more items remained unfound, I'm having a fair time with it.

..So much more potential this game could have been, like a lot of reviews said. Nonetheless, I'm enjoying myself.

Went searching halfway across 2 different towns and came home with Resident Evil 4 for GC. Pretty damn awesome so far, tho I miss the freedom you had in the earlier games.

Nonetheless, getting chased by that damn chainsaw guy = teh scareh.

I hope you still have a GBA laying around, since I'm not sure how well the first two Boktai games would work with the DS. GBA games point face down and would be shaded by the rest of the DS. I haven't played Boktai in a long time, but I remember it being really picky about the sun sensor. Fun game, but I had to give up on it. My windows at home had some special UV protection on them, so I couldn't even get a single bar in blindlingly direct sunlight unless I went outside.

I'm guessing Boktai works well with the DS, since the review of Lunar Knights I read said you could plug in either of the GBA titles and still use the sun sensor in Lunar Knights. As for Wario Ware: Twisted, I've seen that on lots of stores' discount lists, most notably Sears. If I had wanted a copy, I've seen tons of them.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I got around to picking up a copy of Final Fantasy XII today. I haven't gotten too far yet, but I'm liking it. The fights are certainly different though.

The only other thing I have is a GBA SP, so that's not too much different than a DS anyway. I couldn't even try it today though, since it decided to be all cloudy and stuff.

I picked up Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja.

Haha, my sister picked that up on Wednesday and by the next day said she was already over halfway done with it. I was gonna wait to get it on the cheap, but I probably won't even do that now.

How is it? I've been meaning to get this... Either that or Rayman.
Aside from the ending sucking beyond belief, the game is apparently very good.

YouTube Video

So, a 3D Sonic game that doesn't suck and is enjoyable?

I always enjoyed Sonic Adventure 1... Despite how many flaws there were... At least you had a world to walk around as opposed to jumping directly from stage to stage.

Found a lone copy of Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem today. Picked it up, of course. Haven't played yet tho.

Also ordered Killer 7 through the internet yesterday Should probably arrive sometime next week.

On Monday I ordered both Sega Genesis Collection and Sonic Mega Collection Plus from Best Buy's site, both on the PS2 now. After having watched those Angry Videogame Nerd videos, particularly one about sequels both in the US and abroad, I was feeling nostalgic.

I played through Shadow Dancer: The Secret of Shinobi. It still holds up 17 years later, IMO, unlike Altered Beast which is really just obnoxious and bad. I also played through Sonic the Hedgehog on SMC+, walking (or running) away with four of the seven Chaos Emeralds.

I'll probably just move right into Shinobi 3: Return of the Ninja Master and Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Does anyone know why The Revenge of Shinobi didn't make it to this collection? I also hope this is going to be an ongoing series.

I think Crackdown will be my next purchase, and Phoenix Wright: And Justice for All.

Just bought "Dr. Toppel's Tankentai"... i am trying out an auction bidder service so i am able to get stuff from Yahoo Japan. the auction price was 5000yen.

I think shoot'em up are my favourite arcadegamegenre but still i'm not close to be an shoot'em up expert. Anyway Dr.Toppel is an fairly easy game

Hey Stefan, you a JAMMA collector or is this your first board? It's not often that you run across arcade board collectors.

Picked up the Disgaea 2 strategy guide from the Gamestop in the mall for $9.99. Decent deal I think. I printed out an FAQ for this title, and print-outs from Gamefaqs.com usually do fine, but for this game I really wanted to pick up the strategy guide because it looks to be so much quicker to use. I might look for a guide for Disgaea 1 next - I'm much further into the storyline for that title.

I managed to avoid picking up Sonic for Wii. Oh, eventually I will get it, yes. But right now I'm looking into purchasing a condo (REAL tired of subsidizing other people's mortgages with my hard-earned money, of course they'll probably repeal that tax deduction as soon as I buy one, batrastards... ) so I'm keeping the game purchases down to a dull roar at least until next fall...

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

I lied! But, it was for a good cause. For the last 4 months, the only Wii accessories I have seen at Wal-mart are those plastic colored "gel" grips that go over your Wii-mote so it doesn't fly out of your hand and causes major LOLage... Well, today at Wal-Mart I ran across 3 nunchuck controllers. Those things have been harder to come by than a 24-hour news story that isn't about Anna Nichole Smith, so I went ahead and snagged it. Now I could actually play 2-player Wii sports boxing. (If I had any friends that is... )

How ya doing, buddy?
