Damn, I honestly wish either that VP2 was released earlier, or FFXII delayed, cause it's going to be a hell of a long time before I return to this game, and continue on with the Sepheric Gate.
How useful is the "first aid" plus 200% health sealstone in the Sepheric Gate? That was what made my fight with the final boss such a piece of cake. Hell, that should have been one of the first things I should have done, but alas, at least it came useful with the final boss fight. Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() - What we all do best - |
Metabolizers are from breaking the Hydra's tail Ring of healing is made in villmore i think. I really wish there was a skill that upped the chance of getting an item from dismembering monsters viciously. There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |
Metabolizers are just like an accessory then, like grey colored? How do you make a Ring of Healing? What items?
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() - What we all do best - |
Since I got FFXII, I cannot play this awesome game anymore
![]() ![]() I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Ring of healing bumps that to like... 80%? I think. It's insane. I cant remember offhand the items needed for it or the places for them ![]() I was speaking idiomatically. ![]() |

First Aid alone gets you to full health. Normally it's 50% of the damage received but with 200% healing it's the full damage. It's pretty hard to die with that.

Yeah that should have been the FIRST thing I should have gotten, was everyone with that skill (burned up a lot of potions), then get that sealstone in the Surt's Volcano Mountains. That sealstone is worth it, for 2000 crystals? Can't go wrong, and you can equip it on yourself, so you don't have to screw around finding a dias or anything.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]() - What we all do best - |
I don't get why some people interrupt a game before finishing it. U could play it more to finish it sooner.
I understand that final fantasies are the best j-rpg (even if many "true" rpg fan may hate them for beeing liked even by noobs), but that doesn't mean that i'd stop playing vp2 to play ff12. At least that's true for me. Most amazing jew boots |
That is kind of a given though, is it not? You are not really expected to get those weapons in a normal play through. They didnt make the difficulty with those weapons in mind. =P There's nowhere I can't reach. |
That's true. However I found the weapons lost their power or didn't seem to make much of a difference in the last dungeon. The monsters seemed to stand up to them quite well. I personally think so far that these weapons are the best you can get initially (without shopping/making custom weaps in shops) to work your way into SG, then get better weapons then.

I can confirm that the Valkyrie Favor is the best light sword weapon before Iseria Queen, because the Levantine has a goddamn fire element on it
![]() Protip: You're going to want a supply of healing items anyway, the crawling enemies on level 2 of SG (demon type 22, large crab types) drop the 5000 hp to all healing item as a leader item. And they are rediculously awesome exp, up to 800k a fight if you're using Killing Thorn. Not only that, give Rufus the Blue gale, as well as Dismantle, and you have someone that kills them in one hit. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? ![]() |
So apparently I'm learning new skills, namely God destroyer (or something. Hell, I stuck myself in the 5th floor. And the one on the 5th floor is Bahamut Xel and he drops Infinite Admiration, which can be nullified when you have Tyrfing equipped. So alas, I'm getting the Tyrfing-Conqueror's Armor-Ether Crown-Wind Glove-Red Boots combination, just for kicks) and Dismantle (Yeah, took me THAT long before I put some work to getting it learnt) for the battle with Tiamat (I heard that he is somewhere in the 4th floor next to the Hamster room (...what? Can someone tell me where this room is?) with flying enemies and the crawling one (which can be 20% Tiamat or 80% other - usually natural spawn). I managed to go THAT far while being on neutral equipment. What the hell, small wonder SG bosses take a long time for me to defeat. ![]() But I enjoyed it nonetheless. I was speaking idiomatically. ![]() |
EDIT: The only sword i dont know about is from the Heimdall copy on the second floor: I cant get that guy to spawn no matter what! ![]() Oh for the Tiamat: You know where the purple exit portal is on the 4th floor? to the left of that is the room you want. Most amazing jew boots

Thanks, and thanks. Heimdual! has Demon Sword "Nefarious". He's just above that divinity void. Just keep being persistent because Ull in Highsocks may appear together with him too. Most amazing jew boots ![]() |
Uh right well the guy that drops the sword. He is on the 4th floor, and he's a crawling type enemy. He's in the room where there's 4 enemies that all home in towards you. (I think 1 crawling, 3 floating.) The room to your right has the hamster in it, IF you released it (some weird music in background) It's the bottom floor. Just look for a crawling enemy, and escape till you get him. Same tactic aplies to him. Dragon Slayer/Unscaled Might, all attack sealstones, and RDM sealstones. Easily killable in 1 run. Doubt Dismantle works on him. If it does though equip Rufus with Blue Gale bow. 100% crit on that thing. Heimdall and Ull are annoying as hell. Sometimes they spawn all the time, sometimes they don't spawn for ages. I've seen them spawn on a number of different walking type enemies. I doubt it has to be a specific one. From what I heard any walking type on that floor has a chance. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]() Soldier: Prepare yourself, rebel scum!! Updating on the Tyrfing situation: I got 5 already. Sweet as hell.
Like Xellos told me, you need at least a couple of ATK UP sealstones (Desperate Soldier's Law [ATK 150%, No HP Recovery], Yggdrassil's Blessing [All Status Up], Sword Blessing [ATK 120%] or Sharp Sword Sealstone [Which I did NOT get. It's puzzle annoys me to no end; ATK 120/150%, Half HP]), the skills Dragon Slayer/Unscaling Might and your best weapons up to date (with the trinkets also having ATK bonuses - link them!) and timing, I think. My party was Freya, Arngrim, Rufus and Hrist. Could go rounds here but the most I did was 2 rounds. Important Note: When Tiamat's HP goes BEYOND the "L" in Leader's HP, about more than 3 cm or so, he WILL heal. That is BAD, considering you have to take Tiamat out with the Bonus Bar STILL full; Tiamat's Heal is about 383,900 HP, which can refill his bar on the spot. After that, everything was easy. Arectaris took only a round, same with Ull in Highsocks. Virtually everyone was getting a great weapon (except the Mages and Light Warriors). Now I'm relieved, time to get extra equipment for my main party members. Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() |
Arngrim's Wild Break causes frailty. Not sure if it worked on him, but if not try the sealstone that adds silence on your attacks.
Light Warriors don't have such uber weapons. You can get the Levantine which is good if you combine it with err...that skill that adds MAG to ATK, since it has 1200 MAG and ATK, so that equals 2400 but I'm not yet convinced it quite works like that with sealstones and bonus to ATK. The second best was Dainslef wasn't it? I don't recall any monsters dropping those though. I only got 1 from a chest. Your nightmare will begin with Extreme Guards and Ether Crowns. If your only after +str items don't bother. I didn't. There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() Soldier: Prepare yourself, rebel scum!! I've just finished xenogears, and now i'm gonna start vp1 (and after this i'm gonna move to vp2  ).
So, can you give me some important advices about vp1? This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Eventually you'll get accesories called Bracelet of Zoe. Whenever you are about to level up equip two of them, and you'll gain a extra 600 DME (HP) per level. If There's more then one person about to level use the Experience orb and do them one at a time. Oh, To make them easily, convert Golden Eggs into them. You'll eventually get a item that produces a number of them per chapter.
During your travels you'll find mage weapons called Element Scepter and Ether Scepter. While these weapons do break, they are special weapons that will cast greater magicks. If your mage has one equiped and you perform a PWS you'll see a big difference. Another good use for these items, is converting them into tomes of alchemy. These items instantly kill most enemies in the game, and they drop a lot of experience crystals when they die. Start a normal of hard game. You won't be able to get the best ending at easy. You will regret it later. At all times equip the accesory, Treasure Find, on Lenneth. As long as you equip this item, you'll always know if there is a treasure still hidden in the dungeon. If your really interested in getting the A ending the first time you play the game, you probably should read a FAQ. There's really no way in hell anyone can figure out how to get that on their own. There's a limited number of chapters and periods in the game. If you don't do something stupid, and just visit every place once, and finish it up, you should have enough time to do another dungeon, and/or town at the end of that chapter. I also found out that Valkyrie (yeah, that creepy character) is uber-strong. Her default attacks are powerful enough to deliver good blows yet her special needs awful work (even if they are powerful enough). Her equipment right now is Levantine plus a plethora of ATK and MAG items perfect for Psychosoma.
And I also found out (Yes it's late. Sue me) that you can place the Sheated Power's Wrath on the 3rd floor of the SG. Now even Ethereal Queen on second round (Cleared 1st time without the stone set) can only go as far as dealing about 8,000 HP in one ATK. Sweetness. I was speaking idiomatically. ![]() |
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]() |
Uh. 99?
For keeps actually since Bahamut was down in three rounds with the sealstone (Rust Wrath). Hey, I could be wrong but the guy has a ton of HP to boot. Not only with the Desperate Soldier's SS but also a couple more (Including Yggdrassil's blessing and Sword Blessing). What's so utterly horrid about that? Unless you have something better of course because these sealstones are helping me get Infinite Admiration like 4 times already. FELIPE NO ![]() |
I am talking about when you were fighting the tyrfing. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]() |
Thx Xellos.
