I could see stat menus on the top screen and the play grid on the bottom. Some special skills(summons, etc) could make use of the top screen, too. Jam it back in, in the dark.

Man, I'd be willing to pay $70 for FFT on a DS......
But this brings me to another point. Has there been any announcements of a Zelda Adventure on the DS? Because I'd hit that too. Most amazing jew boots |
Yeah, currently The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is slated for a March 2007 release. It's done in the same style as Wind Waker, and is supposed to be a direct sequel I believe.
I'd love to see a Final Fantasy Tactics DS if it was more like the original. Tactics Advance was a lot of fun, but after awhile the lack of story just bored me too much. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() |
Phantom Hourglass looks exciting with the way they implement the dual screens+stylus. The ability to jot notes onto a map and chart your course of travel with the stylus makes it very efficient. Does the stylus also control the sword swings? The only problem is if it doesn't, you'll have to consistently switch between the stylus and the ABXY buttons. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
The stylus controls everything in the game, to a point where you don't have to use any buttons at all (not even for movement). I was a little skeptical of that at first, but Star Fox Command is almost exactly the same, and it turned out well, so I think this will be good as well.
I was speaking idiomatically. ![]() |
I love how in one of the Phantom Hourglass trailers, it shows
Link throwing the boomerang via the stylus ~ You draw out the course of the swing and off it goes ^_____^ pretty cool haha What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
I own almost all the ports, so I might as well get this one, too. *sigh* FELIPE NO |
Just bought one.
Black Dead pixel. Weak. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Nobody has posted in here for a while so I figured I'd bump it up. :P
Am I the only one here with a pink DS lite? I've noticed some fingerprints on the outside, but it's nothing too bad. The touch screen is another story, though. I try my best to be really careful with it, but with New Super Mario Bros, I'm too lazy to get the stylus out so I just touch the screen to get my item. Unfortunately, that's caused the touch screen to get all greased up. ![]() Ah well. Every handheld system I've ever owned (GBA, GBC, DS) had dust in/around the edges of the screen. No clue why though. (I guess a screen protector would have prevented that, but I'd much rather have smudges and dust than scratches anyway.) Jam it back in, in the dark. |
You can always tap the screen with your fingernail if you don't want to gunk it up...just don't push too hard, or you might scratch it. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
If anyone in the Americanananana land's thinking of picking up the recently released Bubble Bobble Revolution, don't. =o

I was thinking of buying it based on that terrific boxart alone. Collector's piece for sure! =)
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Wow, good thing I didn't get it then. I was considering it, but $30 seemed like way too much for a game I knew wouldn't be that good in the first place.
So I wonder have they told all the retailers, so no one else will actually buy a copy of this game. I mean, if they just leave them up on the shelves, how will you even know if you have a faulty game or not once the fixed versions actually come out? I was speaking idiomatically. ![]() |
Easy!
![]() Yeah but seriously, it's not worth $30. And I paid $50 US. (It's not worth that either). What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
So how did that game get past all the testing?
Anyways, is it just me or do DS games take a while to drop in price? I could have sworn I checked The New Super Mario Bros. game for DS about 5 months ago and saw it with a pricetag of $34.99. I checked it recently and it was STILL $34.99. FELIPE NO |
DS and GBA games take YEARS to go down in price. It took Super Mario Brothers 2 on GBA, which was a launch title, something like FIVE YEARS to drop down to $19.99. If it's a popular title, don't hold your breath for a price drop.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
It mainly seems to be first party titles that stay up in price the longest. Most third party titles usually have a price drop in about six months to a year after their release.

That's awesome news, dude, but I'd prefer if you talked about it in the following thread:

oh sorry! For some reason, i thought THIS was the Flashing/PassMe thread ^_^''

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Enamel Navy I just recently bought mine from NCS. Costed a hefty $189.00, I had money left over back from my school grant and it was around the same amount for an Enamel Navy DS Lite. Even though it came to a crazy Total, it got here the next day after I ordered it which is why I usually purchase from NCS when they have things in stock. My order consisted with a Multi Pouch DS Lite since I used to love the old Multi Pouch with the older model and a Cleaning Cloth since things like Finger Prints and Smudges on my screens usually bother me. I'm impressed over all, it's much better quality with the screens compared to the older model as well as the brightness. Using the D-Pad's corners isn't as bad as I've heard it to be actually trying it on the unit in gameplay. I'm just mainly impressed, people have told me it was a waste of money and not to purchase one when I already had the older model. Now all I have to worry about is my stupid friends thing it's a black one since the Enamel Navy is a pretty much a Darker Blue when it's in the shade without any light. Felt like posting this since I was excited in getting one. ![]() Most amazing jew boots |
As stupid as this question is, and my ignorance with the DS Lite, does the DS itself have an internal memory card inside that as you save your game progress, it is stored in the DS lite's memory itself, or is the save data on the GBA/DS game cartridge itself (ala NES/SNES cartridges and how the data is in the cartridge, not the console)? If the data is in the card, that's good news as I'm using my sister's DS lite at the moment, and don't want to have to restart all over when I get my own DS.
If the latter is true (data on the DS itself, not the cartridge), then is there a way to send information from one DS to another? Thanks for your curtious replies. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]() - What we all do best - |
Yeah, all game progress is saved on the cartridges themselves, like NES, SNES, Virtual Boy and all that. If you play DS games onriiiine though, it'll save some stuff to the DS itself, but that can be transferred across to another DS easily. =o

Hay guyzzzz'zz(z), check out who's in the upcoming SNK vs Capcom Card Fighters game.
