I'm swapping sides now. This show's fucking amazing. It's getting viewing priority over 24 now. This is one of the few shows I watch that's kept up ridiculous intensity and has answered questions (sup Lost).
Spider-man 3 preview next week too. FELIPE NO |
Oh my god. Ohmygodohmygodohmygod.
Do you understand how good it feels to love something like this and then watch as the episodes actually get... BETTER? Tonight's episode was so good. So so good. I can't get enough of Claire getting fucked up in different ways and this episode was chock full of the best. When she spat that bullet out and was just immediately all cool about it... *gasp while looking up* So badass. Writing: great, pacing: great, effects: great, new information: great. Okay, so I'm just geeking out without being specific now. Without praddling on for paragraphs and paragraphs more, let's just say the whole episode was fantastic. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
As for this past episode, interesting. My dad watched it first and taped it for me, as i was out last night and tonight. He told me lots got answered, but i have more questions than answers right now. I'm assuming i wasn't the only one who noticed the Hatian Man's necklace was the same symbol as Jessica's tattoo. We still don't know the true motives behind Bennet's company, or what they do for that matter. How exactly does the company go about finding these people? If they are able to just pick up people who they know have powers, then shouldn't Hiro have been recognized by his father? Those are the three big ones on my mind. And how much you wanna bet Lindermann's in charge of this company. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I agree, this last episode left many questions unanswered, but at least it finally vindicated Mr. Bennet. It's been such a pain trying to figure out what side he's on.
Still, despite not having the most important questions as to who exactly runs this human policing company and whatnot being answered, I think this last episode was brilliantly written. It answered just enough to satisfy the endless yearning; still, it left enough open to keep you coming back for more. I'm certain that if all the questions were answered, many would not tune in for future installments. Spoiler:
About the only disappointment for me, personally, was there was no true Hiro action. Sure, there was him as a small boy, but that's not as much fun. Oh well, I shall eagerly wait for next week so that I can get my dose of Hiro-ness. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Alright, this episode was awesome, the best one yet imo just with overall drama and character development. That's all I'm gonna say before I go on a huge paragraph about all of this, but also the last five minutes summed up everything about Mr. Bennett that I thought from the beginning, and in a way, it was a good way to kinda

The previews for next week are interesting enough, and well....I'm having a "Zomg that is fucking creepy" when it showed Spoiler:

And I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot more. I remember watching it from the beginning though, and spotting the symbol all over the place. I wonder what's up with it. ANYWAY, about this week's episode... I'm in just about as much awe as everybody else. This was a great episode, for many reasons. I'm just kinda sad though, that Spoiler:
I liked him. The last few minutes of the episode were really powerful. I was speaking idiomatically. |

Anyway, great episode. I had goose bumps! :O What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |

Everything´s getting better.
Nothing´s getting good. |
SenorKaffe- I hope that happens. That would be so awesome, yet sad, but awesome nevertheless.
Okay, I guess I'm the only loser who rewatched the promo for next weeks episode but. Spoiler:
Also I caught that HRG was trying to make it seem like it was all the Hatian's fault. That Thompson guy at the end of the episode was all like "Man, I can't believe the Hatian did that right in front of you, boy are you stupid for not figuring that out." So I wouldn't count him out on the shows. Not spoilers but just speculation. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Last night's episode was so great that I immediately watched it again after I got home from work today to get every last detail I could. Oh man, was that awesome. I liked the focus on just one set of the characters for a change instead of all the jumping around like they normally do.
BTW, I agree, Heroes 360 with receiving messages from Wireless was the ultimate geek out experience! It made that episode feel even more real. EDIT: Nice follow up with the weekly comic too, very touching Jam it back in, in the dark. Thank you Guest for the kickass signature!

Was that wireless as the nurse, or is that another new hero.
THe show just gets better and better. Very interesting to see Hiro's father is deeply involved in this, I'm also thinking if Hiro is indeed his real son. It might just be the company gives those highly special children to the top guys in the company. That would also suggest the Jessica's role within the company, is far deeper than just an assasin! There's nowhere I can't reach.

Did anybody notice the scene 14 years ago with Claire, Mr. Bennet, and Hiro's father takes place on the roof where Peter and Simone kissed? Nothing in this show is a coincidence, so I'd bet that this will be important later on. It also explains why Claude frequents that area.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
I just have to say that this show is where the action is. This latest episode shows just how much potential this show has. The story can keep moving fast, but yet not too fast, and at the same time be chock full of action/drama. I can't believe people like something like LOST over this...
In non-comparison news, this episode was great to revealing Bennett's seemingly contradictary actions. Now it makes (much) more sense. The biggest question is, where does this all lead? Shortly summarized, there is an organization that takes in "Heroes" and tracks/catalogs them. And they want to keep this all secret, at the pain of death for their employees. The biggest question is, what is this company trying to accomplish? I'm sure they are not trying to be the Hero-pedia library. And why do they "hire/enlist" some of the Heroes, but not others? Also guys, don't forget to read the graphic novels on NBC's website. There is a surprising amount of background and fill-in information contained in these. This week's is about when Bennett and Claude actually found Claire. I was speaking idiomatically. |

Abducting people, brainwashing them and tracking them like animals in the wild is not very cool, but is it necessary? Would/Could these superhumans deal with being treated this way? What about their families? Claude mentioned vivisection, and really I think that's crossing the line between morally grey and just wrong, especially considering that it doesn't seem that people who get taken by HRG's organization don't have a choice in the matter. However, if I had a family and we lived right next to Ted, and I found out about his radioactive powers...well...I'd be pretty damn scared, and I'm not sure if I'll be too sympathetic to a guy who has the potential to give everyone surrounding him cancer...especially if he may not be able to control it. I think that Ted is on a deathlist of sorts. Also, they kill people with powers deemed to dangerous and/or out of control. Which then makes me conflicted. It's not Ted's fault that he was born with this ability. I think it's interesting to notice how HRG and his boss refer to superpowered humans as "them". Almost as if superhumans are not human any more. Which would probably make it easier on their conscience to handle invading these people's privacy so much. Frankly, all of this is the reason why I think HRG is still not completely good. I mean he felt moved to do something about this when it regarded someone he knew and cared about. But ethically, it's still pretty grey. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

This weeks episode was extremely awesome, but you have to be extremely concentrated to get all the important information. I think I will watch this episode again tonight just to make sure I'm getting everything since I believe that this episode is going to be important for the development (?)

Yep, I agree with the rest of you saying the show rocks. I was kind of weary when I saw the first episode at the beginning, but after watching a couple after that I got hooked. There are somany story lines and they all interweave, and its just awesome. There are going to be some pretty intense drama and action in the next few episodes.
