Spoiler:
Ehhh, essentially, the 4400 are just what everyone in the future supposedly is like. So it happens regardless of Burkoff's crazy status, but yeah, the 4400 have had that ripple effect and Tess made them built the tower thing and it emited a signal that made Kevin Burkoff not crazy. So the capabities of using Promicin happens in the future already, but because Burkoff snapped out of it, he'll just speed things along. He figured out the whole Promicin Inhibitor thing and now he's even building promicin in his own body.

The 4400 took each person back to do something in the past that would change the world. And as for the last part, have you seen the season 3 episodes? Maia and the 4 children are sent further back in time because the future has found out that sending the 4400 back was not enough to fix the future, so now the next hope is that Tom kills Isabelle. Because even though I've stated how Isabelle isn't necessarily evil...odds are that she's the beginning of the end and they'll have to kill her to get the future fixed.

Of course, I think the series will ultimately end with the future being fixed for now, but there are always things that could cause everything to crash down.

Spoiler:
These discussions make me think of some stupid idea I had when Back to the Future was big. I always thought if Marty went to the future, then to the past...wouldn't present Marty keep going to the future, then to the past and there would be like a million and growing Marty's just continually going to the future then the past. I don't know, it was strange and it always made me confused when I was little.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Thought I would try to bump the thread since there is a new episode tonight. I'm thinking right now that Alana is gettin' in trouble for something. There have been various previews with her sitting and talking and she just says, "I'm sorry." I think it will probably do with the guy who killed her husband and son. Oh well...we'll see.

Double Post:
Spoiler:
Okie-Dokey, I hope I'm not the only one who didn't enjoy today's episode. To recap, Gary gets a phone call telling him NTAC is coming after him, he runs away. Alana gets arrested, Heather gets arrested, Alana turns herself in, we find out Alana made the call to Gary, Tom offers a trade of Gary for Alana to Dennis, They do the trade, they handcuff Dennis to his car and Alana and Gary dissappear. I did not like how the whole episode played out. Plus I think we can confirm Isabelle is very evil, I don't think there is any hope for her. "If you go out with Nikki, I have a feeling it's going to end very badly. Both for you...and ESPECIALLY for Nikki." Kind of scary. Of course, it was very sad when Shawn had to cut himself loose from Nikki and couldn't tell her why. Anyway, I believe we will see Alana again, it's sad to see her go, because that leaves Tom with who? Maybe that will increase the dynamic between Tom and Diana and Maia. Not romantically, but friendly. Diana, even though it may not seem it, is like a sister to Tom. Anyway, Alana is gone though and the odds of her coming back for good is very unlikely...Anyway on to the next episode.

The preview basically told us that there is going to be some mysterious drug/disease. Here is the synopsis from the official website. Tom and Diana literally come face to face with their pasts when they are dosed with a drug created by a 4400. And in the preview on the website Tom sees his father...who has been dead for 9 years. So I'm thinking that Diana might see her father too, because she obviously is not fond of him and him of her. He didn't pick up the phone when the return was happening and she told Tom that Kyle was lucky to have him as a father, because she didn't have a good one. Anyway, a suicide occurs and did you see who it was. It was.......Liv, the druggie that Shawn reformed and took into the 4400 center. Strange, maybe she's experimenting and someone gives her the new mystery drug.

Anyway, here are this weeks Maia predictions...

-Mommy is going to have an unexpected visitor. (We probably expect April to come back sometime, but I personally think it's her father....maybe he just wants to see his grandaughter.)

-Tom is going to eat a cookie. (This is very strange. Maybe the drug is in a cookie. Maybe Diana and Maia will bake cookies and invite Tom over to keep him company. Strange either way.)

-Isabelle is going to see Shawn's baby pictures. (This is only going to attach her even more to Shawn...this obsession with Shawn is going to build up to the finale probably)

-Tom will work with a new partner. (Probably because Diana will fall under the effects of the drug)

-The cab driver is going to think mommy's talking to herself. (Effects of the drug?)

-Things will change at home. (If Diana's father visits, maybe he's going to stay. Who knows, maybe he wants to be the father that he wasn't to Diana. Could mean something totally different though)

And as for this week's hidden message...here are the letters.

pheswlaetetfrsilteemth

I can't think of much that goes with the predictions and the preview. Only thing I can imagine would be a part of it is "sweets" for these mysterious cookies. She even doodled the cookies on the page with her predictions, so it's probably something bad, considering the butterfly doodle was where she was taken when the future placed her further back.

Anyway, hope you guys enjoyed.

How ya doing, buddy?

Spoiler:

Yeah this week's episode was more than a little on the snooze side. The whole Isabelle/Shawn thing is really starting to annoy me. Tom should just stab her in the face with that needle and end her obnoxious threats. Isabelle took over as my least favorite character when she killed off Lily. To go from a crybaby who cares only for her antichrist daughter to the daughter who has no concept of right or wrong beyond her own selfish wants. It's really grating.

It's almost as if since they stopped with the "continuous plot but introduce episodic 4400 events" formula things have been slowing down. No mention of Kevin Burkhoff, no powers, no promicin that was such a large part of the story, just a lot of arguing and strained expressions. What's the deal?

Spoiler:
Lily wasn't always thinking only of Isabelle. She got to a point where she was even scared of her own daughter. When she and Isabelle got older, she just didn't want to see Isabelle as something evil, just like Richard doesn't want to see she is evil now.

Anyway, about Burkhoff. I believe the next episode is called Blink, THEN the next episode is called the Ballad of Kevin and Tess! There's you're Kevin Burkhoff episode. They are getting to things, but it just takes awhile. And in case anyone is curious....The eleventh episode this season is called The Gospel according to Collier...Jordan will be coming back fairly soon. And I made a guess at who Diana would see.......are you ready, because this was a shocker........................................... .................................................. She sees her ex-fiance.... Didn't even think she's gotten serious with anyone.

Spoiler:

Where are you finding these future episode titles? I can't wait till Jordan comes back.

For Lily, she just got to a point where all it seemed like she did was whine and make Richard's life difficult. I understand wanting to run from the government but more than once I was rooting for Richard to pack up in the middle of the night and bail.

I know they need to develop characters and tie up some loose ends and such so I'm bearing with the sort of plodding along bits. I can't wait for the inevitable ramping up of suspense that culminates with the season finale, just to leave you with a cliffhanger. There definitely was a plus to not being caught up. No waiting!

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

No activity in this thread for a long while but I feel the season ender deserves a bump. This episode left a lot of points for speculation what happened to Alana, what will happened to April, Shaw, Kilyle. But at the end of the day (and the episode) I think the big question is as the show put it:

How about you will you take the shot?

To answer my own question realistically I would probably be too chicken to go out and get the syringe but assuming I already had the needle, I would probably take my sweet time deciding but eventually take the risk. The chance to be ale to do the type of good that many of the 4400, like Shaw healing to take an obvious, to be part of some unique would ultimately make me overrule my better judgment. How about you?

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?
