If one of the school shooters were to kill someone, possibly anyone teacher/student or w/e, would it be a case of self defense or murder if you were to kill them? Knowing that the attempt would cause everyone to be in much more danger, but what the hell they're already in danger. The guy could do anything if they were crazy enough.

http://www.lectlaw.com/def/d030.htm This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
"We Stole the Eagle from the Air Force, the Anchor from the Navy, and the Rope from the Army. On the seventh day, while God rested, we over-ran his perimeter and stole the globe, and we've been running the show ever since. We live like soldiers, talk like sailors, and slap the hell out of both of them. WARRIORS BY DAY, LOVERS BY NIGHT, PROFESSIONALS BY CHOICE, AND MARINES BY THE GRACE OF GOD."

So do you mean that we must necessarily waiting a handgun pointed to our head before we could legitimate our act as self-defense?

Not every situation is automatically chiseled into a stone tablet. Judges and juries look at it at a case-by-case basis. If you REASONABLY FEARED imminent bodily harm to you or others, you can act in self-defense.
I was speaking idiomatically.

Basic answer, if killing the person was excessive violence, meaning that you could ahve disarmed him and restrained him rather then killing him, then yes you will go to jail. If not, then there will still be a trila but you will be let off.

While it may seem like self-defense in the beggining. How many blows will it take you to KO a person. You hit them and you hit them immediately again if they're not down. If their dazed, they're not gonna immediately attack you and continue attacking you. Plus the gun that they're holding will probably ensure that only one atack is necessary. If they're disarmed then they're not much of a threat anymore.
The scenario with the kids is of different classification. Will this be considered as juvenile crime? Did they attack because they were psychologically derranged? The scenario says yes and we should think that maybe thee kids deserve a more cruel punishment or the chance to reform. And again, if I could get close enough to kill them with a pair of scissors why couldn't I have disarmed them from the beggining? FELIPE NO |
