Lol my ass. I'm not getting caught up in any of that nonsense outside of this thread.

Crash tries to slam us over something he himself was getting ready to do full on and much worse than us, so I'm not going to just lie down and take it.

So, ummm, lol?

Get out. I seriously don't intend to keep the name changes longer than a week.

Maybe if your post was longer than three words and was an actual explanation I might have gotten it.

Shit, I didn't know we were allowed to get away with blatant spam like that. Let me go into some thread an quote someone with "LMAO!", brb.

Well, a quote was included in my post. That's kinda the key part of most post, not actually me going 'lol' since I figured most people would do that of their own accord once they had what you said pointed out to them.

Sorry if it went over your head, though.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Personally, I like the idea of these theme weeks. I'd have participated in a_week if I'd have seen the original thread. I'd have been a_biscuit, if I had done, but that's irrelevant. What is relevant is that I recognise the problem of identifying people, especially because I'm fairly new and don't know many people anyway.

Why not just make it a rule that you have to put your standard username in your signature, for future theme weeks? I mean, shit, is it that hard to see a post by a_cat_is_fine_too, and look down to the sig to see that it's actually Merv? I see that as a win/win situation, personally.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

As usual, everyone gets super-defensive over their X-Theme week.

I also think its wicked harsh to blame Ace Combat for the slump in GFF activity. Thats so inaccurate, its laughable. Did anyone notice that this is one of several finals weeks? People are cramming. And they're likely taking tests. If they're not taking finals, then they're probably packing to head home for the summer.

Its really unfair to blame Ace Combat Week for the slump, even if the week is annoying in nature.

I hate these name changes - especially when they all insist on anonymity. But like they said - its only for a week. I'm not going to get myself in a HUGE TISSY over it.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I think I agree with Sassbox here. A good bit of us are mad craming for finals and semesters are ending. To blame the x themed weeks participants is just silly.

But Sassu, anonymity? Usually there's a master list in the thread saying who's who. If you really want to know, just head on that way.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

The things that bothered me specificly about AC week were that some people used them as an excuse to spam pics of planes and air raids, and the complete anomity. With a_week, you could at least recognize people from their sigs and avatars, but now there's nothing like that. The only ones I recognize is Merv, because of the yukotbania thing he always has, and Tails because of his posting style. if you have to organize name changes, put something in to identify you, if not in your sig, at least in the custom title.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

GELB-1 (Skills) made a great point when he said the "slump" was caused by everyone was being assholes to each other and ruining each others fun.

Then he said, jokingly, that we should keep names longer than a week. Blah pointed out this "contradction" ( :BIGARM: ). I don't think Skills was actually serious, though. I certainly don't want to keep this up longer than a week.

On some other forums, you have a username and a display name. You can change your display name at any time, but your username can't be changed. Doesn't sound like it'd be an easy task to get vB to do something like that, but reading this thread, I remembered that feature. Just thought I'd throw it out there.

p.s. I'm ramoth.

Actually, GELB-2 (Tails) said that and RacinReaver pointed it out.

Unless you were just trying to purposely add to confusion ;_;

No, wasn't purposely trying to add confusion. I just misremembered who said what. Friends don't let friends eat lunch and post on gamingforce apparently.

Contrary to what you might think, my duty here is to shoot down trolls such as yourself. It's a very useful service if I might say so myself.

It's been suggested before that people put their "standard" username in the "Custom Title" box but several people felt that the incorporation of that text into their theme is important.
