for me those drivers never worked properly, I use this one instead: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

you install it and now every time I plug in my sixaxis it recognize it automatically.

(there on thing I'm not sure is if you need to install the driver with or without the sixaxis already plug in, you'll need to test)
Cheers! That worked a charm.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

What do you guys use for a gamepad when playing games on your computers? Whether you use it for emulation or other actual PC games, what suits you the best?

Me, I use my trusty Xbox 360 controller combined with the wireless receiver. It's pretty great, but the D-pad leaves much to be desired when playing old school games.
yeah , and i also played the xbox , and i think that game is better than other games ,a nd i can competitive with others

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
Phantasystaruniverse gold , my friend said the cheap service , really??

I have this but find the D-Pad can be hard to get recognized in emulators. My computer keeps reading the D-Pad as this weird "hat" thing that's hard to get recognized in older programs, and tends to diagonal a bit too much.

Being reduced to the joystick sucks on old fighting games and beatemups. A toward-toward-punch becomes a nightmare.

BUT, I have no better recommendation. This is way better than my previous gamepad.
I also have the Wingman Rumblepad. I got it mainly to play flying games like Rogue Squadron while also being able to use it with emulators. The D-pad is not acceptable for side-scrollers imho. The reason some programs recognize the D-pad as a "hat" is because it is: this is a flying-game joystick more than a gamepad. It even comes with a throttle control on the top. For games like Rogue Squadron, it works great. I find that using the joystick for side-scrollers, shooters, etc. for SNES, Genesis, and earlier games works just fine. But, for fighting games it would not be ideal.

One other comments about this controller: it's built fairly sturdy. The joystick do seem flimsy, but the casing could take numerous across-the-room throws.

How ya doing, buddy?

The Gravis GamePad (and its brother, the GamePad Pro)

Oh wow, now those bring back memories.

These days I also use the PS2 controller sometimes, but lately I've been using the Xbox360 controller for my emulation and gaming on PC. I know people who hate the Xbox360's controller design, and are always, "The Playstation1/2/3 controller is the best design." but I've always liked the 360's controller. It just seems to fit my hands perfect, and have a button layout that I find comfortable.

I was speaking idiomatically.
