More than I would like v_v.

I live at the end of a one-way street and from here, there are five houses. Two that're identical to mine, a trailer, a brick house that was once a garage and another house on a hill.

The people living right next to me are a bunch of church-humpers that use to beat their kids(With plastic pipes) for not following their religion, it got so stupid that it drove their oldest to do drugs and their youngest(who used to be my best friend) to run away.

The house next to them has had a few families goin' in and out so we haven't even bothered to meet them.

On the other side of the road is the Trailer, a single mother and three kids two teens and one kid. ALL of which are complete trouble making A-holes. The youngest girl walks around without underwear and goes wherever she sees fit(which was something else they got reported for, aside from throwing stuff in peoples pools).

In the brick house lives another redneck with horrible disposition(He also goes out of town to deal drugs which he has been caught growing behind his home).

Then up further lies the house on the hill and it lives a family friend. My parents have known her for years. She's pretty friendly and a hoot to talk too. It just sickens me that she had to be the one that first found out that one of our neighbors likes to take leaks wherever and whenever she pleases.

Also, her husband has Alzheimers.

Yeah, my neighborhood ROCKS!!.

My neighbours on my left hand side are quite nice. Fairly quiet, yuppie type, but nice nonetheless. Always say hello if I'm out in the garage and they come home.

My neighbours on the right, that's a different story. The kids are both nothing buy trouble. The police have been at their house more than once. Fighting in the street, stolen vans, and fairly certain they broke into my dad's truck. The parents are both clueless, as the mother lets them run wild and the dad is powerless to stop them. And they have dogs. Dogs that bark. Alot. Right outside my bedroom window.

I hate them oh so much.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I don't know my current neighbors as well as I have ones in the past. I've had maybe 3 or 4 families living next door, one in particular being pretty close with in my grade school years.

Well we have two houses.
House 1 is close to the city and I only know one of my neighbors. I don't like them, their kids are brats who recently spray painted all the street signs so you can't read any of them now! And my mom told the mother and she acted like she didn't care! And on the other side of my house our new neighbors are super unfriendly and very nosy at the same time!

And the other house, I know only one neighbor really well and the others I don't care to know.

Do I wish I knew them better? No, not really. The less I know about them the better.

How ya doing, buddy?

I've never really been very close to my neighbors. We all just kind of live our lives and try to stay out of each others' business.

The only people I know at all are the Russians next door. Eugene, the father of the family, often comes over and hangs out with my father. They talk about Europe together.

The whole town has something against foreigners, and the neighborhood is no different. Small town people, I guess. So yea, they avoid us as neighbors, since we're foreign. That means WEIRD and COMMUNIST or something.

Otherwise, the neighborhood here only know each other through their kids playing together. There are a lot of kids in the neighborhood. Both Eugene and us have no young kids.

Also, my people are, like, WICKED obnoxious. We yell and scream, and I think the neighbors think we're psychotic. Then here I am, working on the truck while my sister sunbathes in the front yard and my father is climbing all over the boat.

I can see why they wouldn't want to know us. ^_^

I don't really know any of my neighbors mainly because I choose not to know anybody. I don't live in the world's greatest neighborhood, so I'm usually trying to get out of the neighborhood fast or get back in the house fast. However, I do know one of the neighbors. She's the crackhead next door that tried to kill all of us when she decided to get drunk and let the pilot light on her stove go out.

I live in a dorm, and my whole floor knows each other. It's an awesome community, we all hang out and watch "24" and "House" and DVDs of "Arrested Development", maybe play DDR, Axis & Allies, Risk, Monopoly... whatever. We just have fun.

I've been living here in this area for almost 19 years now and yeah, I know all of my neighbours here :3 In this street and, well almost the whole subdivision. For the main reason that, its just a small subdivision (50 houses) and well, we have this chapel in the subdivision where almost everyone goes into during sundays, that and, well I'm a member of the youth club/comittee (what sux is, I am the oldest in such group, thats active anyways -______- )

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I noticed something about neighborhoods here: when I lived in a smaller house, I got to know my neighbors better--I tend to get bored or suffocated in my own house because of space (or lack of it) so i bothered them in their houses.
When we got a bigger house, in a more exclusive neighborhood, people regularly keep to themselves. The only people mingling with each other in the streets are the maids and drivers.

Well, we do hear some random swearing of the Chinese guy diagonal to our house, the really noisy Koreans in the house behind ours and the try-hard drummer two houses down.
In addition, we have these avocado, chico, and mango trees in the back, and a chilli plant in the front--random people try to steal some without telling us, which kinda pisses the hell out of me. It's fun, though, catching them climbing the fence, reaching for the fruit and then one of us asking them calmly if they'd care to have some.

Some years ago in December, I was the crazy neighbor telling the party across the street to, and I quote, "fucking turn the fucking noise level down so i could fucking sleep...." I didn't stick my face out any window for a week. So, yeah, I love my neighbors. *snigger*

There's nowhere I can't reach.

We have pretty fair contact with the neighbours on our left side. They're a very nice family, we always say hello and stuff, and my father dressed out as Santa Clause for their kids last christmas

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

well our neighbours to our right are super friendly, they've been family friends since we moved in 18 years ago. Their kids are about 5 years older then my brothers and I but we were still companionable. Our neighbours to our left are a younger family though. I babysit for them whenever I'm home but because we're an older generation then them we don't really have any reason to be buddy-buddy with them. We know them and we're polite to each other but that's about the extent of it.

I know them in the sense that we'll say hi when we pass each other when we're around. Me and my family don't really get together with the neighbours though. It's just a casual friendship thing. My next door neighbours are a bit miserable anyways. They can't stand music so that doesn't really mix well with us

I was speaking idiomatically.

I used to know more of my neighbors, but the family living next door moved away. I've played basketball with a few of the neighborhood kids and used to go to school with one across the street. We used to have drug dealers, but they are apparently not in the neighborhood anymore, which I hope means that they were caught.

I don't know my neighbors as well as I could, but that wasn't an option in the poll. I kind of had to reply "yes" because I could pick most of them out of a lineup.

Used to know most of my neighbors, we used to have neighborhood bbqs and parties. But all of us grew older and kind of lost touch. Mostly when most of my neighbor's kids went to university, I was only entering highschool.

Do I know my neighbors. Hell, I don't even really know my apartment mates.

Anyway, at home, I know only 1 neightbor now as people have moved away and stuff. When I used to live in the dorms, yeah, I knew my "neighbors." And, now in an apartment, I know a few of my "neighbors" because I know them from elsewhere anyway and they live there now.

But mainly, at home, I don't know people in my neighborhood anymore.

i just moved, so no i dont know my neighbors here, although in past places i lived, i never bothered to get to know anybody unless they wanted to get to know me... when i was a kid though i knew everyone in my entire block... maybe it shows that i just dont care anymore to find out who people are unless they have some kind of reason to be known by me... <.<'

There's nowhere I can't reach.
