At the moment I’m working in a hospital emergency department. Despite being a fairly small unit, it’s generally understaffed so things can still get pretty busy, especially in the evenings. The work atmosphere is good, and the senior staff (most of them) are a laid back bunch, a big improvement on the crazy hyperactive boss I was working for before. The hours are decent, there’s allocated teaching time, barely any overtime and each day is never the same. The downside is shift work wrecks absolute havoc with normal life, especially 1-11pm or the graveyard.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I work for a solicitors in their post and print room. Which is pretty entry-level stuff, but the pay is decent, and the people are pretty cool, so I'm pretty content with staying where I am for the time being. The last job I had was also working at a solicitors in their post room, but to be honest, the guys who worked there were assholes and didn't really give a shit about me.

I also like my job as I'm always walking around and doing something, and not just sat at a computer all day. Keeps me fit, and I interact with people a lot more, which is nice.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I have two jobs, actually. One is simple enough on its own: Attend an elementary school for 4 hours a day on weekdays and play around on computers with students K-6. It's an after-school program that's only partially state-funded so we have ridiculous amount of freedom to do what we damn please to mask fun computer activities as "learning" and I have a LOT of fun in my job. It IS still partially state-funded so we have to meet California State standards for education and have to write 8 hours of "educational" material to teach during that time. However, I write my weekly lesson plans on my laptop once a week at my favorite brew pub under the influence, sober up, show up the following week and push those plans for 4 days (2 hours per day x 4 days), and then on Fridays I do whatever we want to do for fun. As it just so happens for me, that's usually Wii Sports, Guitar Hero, Rock Band or DDR. I have yet to convince my supervisor to let us play Grand Theft Auto or Call of Duty for our Arcade Fridays but I'm sure I'll get him drunk enough one night to agree.

My other job is still doing graphic design for a marketing company on the side. The owner finds me jobs, emails me the info, I design whatever they want, I email proofs back to him and, if they approve, I submit to press in Los Angeles and delivered UPS to a customer-appointed address. It's still fun to do graphic design and, since I actually have a certificate for it, I don't see the point in letting it go to waste; especially when it only takes up a fraction of my time and brings in about $300-400 extra per week.

tl;dr I LOVE MY JOB(s)

I love my job. I get to do what I love doing. Sparring with fighters and helping them get prepared for their fights. Teaching kids martial arts skills. A weight room I can go into and work out in anytime. And get paid to do all of this. Yeah it's pretty awesome.

I recently started, so I'm not 100% sure yet.
I work as an all round programmer for a smaller company (a shop), which includes managing their databases and transactions, along with their website. When not doing straight programming, I make some graphics or update products (like description and price) for their online store.

The pay is actually bad, but the other staff is great and the atmosphere is pretty laid back. Sometimes when there's nothing to do, it gets extremely boring though, and seeing as I don't have an office, I can't fool around too much either.

It's really two sided. The pay gets me down every time, but I do enjoy the work mostly.

The answer to this question is largely dependent on the day on which you ask me at the moment. When good, as it is most of the time, I absolutely love it and it's one of the most enjoyable and satisfying things to do. When it's bad it can be a bit pants, but then what jobs don't have boring or naff bits? When push comes to shove I have a pretty sweet job and so yeah, all in all - love it.

Ha, ha. Ah yes, I see I missed that small morsel of information out didn't I. Oops.

I am a Software Designer (though I also am involved at other levels, such as coding, etc).

I've got two jobs - one that I love, and one that well... pays. haha.

I'm a float pilot for a major airline out here in BC, flying between Vancouver/Victoria, and wherever people are willing to pay. I love this job - there's nothing like flying around the coast at 500' or through the valleys and canyons up to Whistler, passing glaciers and mountain lakes that are still frozen, or just in the process of breaking up.

I'm also a part time stocker/security guard/cashier at a pharmacy/generalish type store - not the greatest job, but it pays well.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I have two jobs. One that I love, and one that I haven't started yet.

The first one is working at Apple's flagship retail store on 5th Ave here in NYC. I wasn't too thrilled about the idea of working retail again, but this has turned into easily one of the best non-film jobs I've ever held. The people there are all incredibly nice and cool, the management is nice (though HR completely fucked up this past week with us newcomers, mostly me), and it's just a fun job. The customers who come in are always in a good mood, looking to buy something Apple-related, and it's my job to give them a good experience. It's not about how much you sell, it's about how satisfied the customer is. That alone makes it a far less stressful job.

The other job starts on Wednesday, and it is the reason I moved out here - Editing! Film editing, that is. Final Cut Pro non-linear editing, to be precise. This is exactly why I left NH, and I could not be in a better position with this job. It pays absolutely retarded amounts of money, my hours are flexible, and I'm doing what I love. As soon as this job picks up steam, I will cut back my hours at Apple, but for now, it's a slow start.

I couldn't be happier with my position in the workforce, honestly. I really really lucked out with both jobs, both in terms of getting them, and the fact that they're both such excellent jobs.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I've loved jobs in the past because even if you're working at a job you hate, if you've got good people around and none of the attitudes and so forth, you're going to end up loving it. I used to do housekeeping but we all got to talk to eachother and help eachother out and it made all the mess we had to deal with from people who don't know how to pick up after themselvess worth it.

Yes! I finally am a journalist, what I wanted to become for a long time. Unfortunately, some of my opinions are considered ''too'' right-wing fpr a community newspaper.

Lol No worries, its not like the majority of news sources out there are not far left and in the tank for obama..

Up untill the other day I was attending college and working at a pizza joint. Now I am moving to cali to start a new job working for a major recording company in their recording studio. Granted I would have rather graduated with my 2nd degree being in media - radio broadcast, this is just too good of a job to pass by. It starts out with a decent pay and a relitive is my dirrect boss.
