I didn't realize this hadn't been resolved yet.
I've already stated my opinions, but I did want to touch on the arrangement issue. I think there's possibility for a little more leeway, but like any piece of music, there should be a cool-off period. For now I'll stick with my grand "1 year" wait, just to keep things consistent. There's nowhere I can't reach.

My recent experience has made me reconsider my position. I think that we should just continue to tackle things on a case-by-case basis rather than making any hard and fast rules. People can and have spoken up when something is too new for their taste, and nominators have delayed accordingly--but at the same time, successful cases have been made to disregard long waiting periods entirely. I think it's worked well so far.
If we must have a guideline, I think that a year is far too long--3-6 months should be more than enough. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() |
