They give you the organ donor card every time you renew your driver's license. At least, they have done with me.

And yeah, of course I'm signed up.
Ah I see. I have yet to get my driver's license, so that would explain why I haven't got one. Well, I should be getting my license either by christmas or sometime during january. We'll see about the card then =P

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Definitely decided to be an organ donor. There's no reason NOT to, unless there's something physiologically wrong with you that would prevent it.

And don't give that bullshit "one ambulance two victims" bull crap. It's ridiculous to not be an organ donor based on some freak occurrence that is even more incredibly unlikely than your early/untimely death.

I can't honestly understand anyone who isn't an organ donor, unless they have legitimate medical reasons like Fire On Ice does. Why the hell would you care about what happens to your guts after you die, especially when you could save someone's life? I'm a complete misanthrope, and I'm still an organ donor.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

When I got my license, I'm 100% sure that I checked off the 'organ donor' box. I dont think my mom was too pleased with this for some reason... I think because I was 16 at the time I needed her to sign for it. I dont think she did, because I dont have the little heart on my license that says that I am.

When I renew it, I'll make sure its there.

I'm always terrified I'm going to get into a car accident and EMT isn't going to try to rescue me because they need extra kidneys downtown

But recently I've been wanting to get that pink sticker, just because I've realized what a greedy whore I've been with my organs. I work at a hospital and seeing the kids who're waiting around just kills me.

I was speaking idiomatically.

I'm a nursing student and I study health care, but I'm not currently a donor. I've been meaning to get one of the pink stickers to put on my license, but it seems to always end up on the bottom of my to-do list. I know that medical advanced directives can include more detailed information about organ donations and the like, so I may just add my preferences there.

Definitely a donor too, although I do have the thoughts like kat about getting shafted in an emergency 'cause they need part of my liver or something.

I'm not sure about the whole "agree to give your corpse for medical students". Dunno, it seems a bit embarrassing, which is completely stupid, since a hunk of meat that was once you can't really feel any emotions. Also, my family's Catholic, so I'm sure they'd want to dig a hole and put my body in it.

Not a donor, but only because I can never recall getting a donor card. Somewhat odd considering that whenever I go to the doctor, they usually bring in about 4 or 5 students to poke at me for an hour. The first time I suspected something was wrong, but the doctor informed me they rarely get someone in that is fit and in perfect health (doesn't that just sound scary). Ever since the last two times I've made appointments the secretary asks if it is alright to have an extended appt. so that students can do tests. Seems like they get new ones in every few months.

I had heard at one point that the Ontario government was considering making it so that by default you are an organ donor unless otherwise requested or taken off for health reasons. I may have to check into that next time.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

I was reading about that on Reader's Digest. The topic is still under debate I think.

Ontario law boosts organ donations

Jam it back in, in the dark.
