I guess I'm not the only one who thinks the Penguins are Finals-bound: The Sporting News is predicting a Penguins-Red Wings Cup Final, with the Penguins taking home Stanley's Shotglass.

Seems kind of unlikely to me. I saw that pick in the magazine at the store. Another hockey mag is picking Calgary against Ottawa with Ottawa finally winning it.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Why doesn't niedermayer just announce retirement already? Pronger was named Captain of the ducks and Scott hasnt played the first games.

I'm very excited to hear this. I've been a Pens fan since I was little and I'm glad they are finally out of their losing streak of the the early 2000's.

I'm looking forward to the new season, and I really like the new jerseys too.

New 60" Plasma Widescreen HD TV? Got.

NHL Center Ice? Got.

Satellite provider who carries it in HD? Got.

It's shaping up to be a good season.

Also:

Aside from the "Vancouver" wordmark, they're nice looking.
...Are you fucking high? They are HIDEOUS.

It's still an improvement; at least it's only the design that's horrible now. It used to be the design and the color scheme.

Yeah, in improvement like going through one bout of anal surgery, instead of a bout of anal surgery and a kick in the balls.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Man, too many people are predicting the Penguins in the Finals this year. That's always bad news.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Don't google image search "Gary Roberts" unless you want a bunch of weird S&M type cartoon porn.

What a third period explosion by the Rangers. If this keeps up this will be a awesome season to watch.

They know his abilities almost got him to the All-Star game last year.

Seems the Penguins are of the most popular teams in the entire league. When I look at an NHL poll that asks "who will win it all" most voters did Penguins. I'm glad to see the sport flourish over there as Detroit did here for many many years. I think Buffalo looked amazingly full last season, too. Hopefully more teams can increase their popularity.

Most of Buffalo's big name players all left town, so I don't think they're gonna be as big a factor this year. Pens got alot of young talent, so we just gotta get some strong leadership and we'll be alright.
