I personally don't but i don't have an issure with those who do. There are some out there that can be rather interesting, but for the most part i view blogging as an internet diary. It's not the fact that anyone is going to read it, it's just a way to write out your emotions and feelings over something.
But i'll never have one, because i personally think it's turning into a trend, and i hate going with trends. Silly reason i know. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Though I'd like to say that I have more to offer than most other people, I have not created and will never create a weblog. The only people with something intelligent to present on a subject are the ones already in the field. Amateurism on the Internet disgusts me.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
'Blogging' is (mostly) a total waste of space on the internet. Just because you have an opinion about something doesn't mean that it's not worthless, and just because you have a life doesn't mean that it's not boring and you should share it with anyone.

GreatestJournal. Ever since I got laid off I haven't really had any purpose in updating it-- it used to have all these venty entries about how much I hated my managers and coworkers and old people and stuff, but now it's mostly bitching about books, PvP in WoW, and people.

I actually find Blogging to be a good use of my time. It helps me to think and organize my thoughts. Otherwise, I'm always doing something or wandering aimlessly..

Of course, most message boards are terrible. Though at least they allow for the possibility of more purposeful communication than just some guy telling the world what anime he watched and how politicians suck.
I'm not really saying that all blogs are bad per se, by the way. There are a few that I read myself. It's just that the current 'Web 2.0' trend dictates that everyone has to have a damn blog, even if they have nothing worthwhile to say. Paging Arsenal Gear to Web 2.0. I'm not much of a writer. I rarely if ever blog.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Chocojournal is all I have. There is one on myspace but I wouldn't call it a blog, just a place for random shit when I'm bored.

I blog.
I add random thing, whatever I feel talking about. I don't know if people actually read me, but it's still a way for me to express myself to whoever is interested in what I have to say. It also keeps my friends updated on whatever is going on. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

i have a blog where i post random thoughts and zen stuff. it's easier than trying to come up with something coherent and meaningful. more entertaining for me (and i assume my limited audience)

I didn't think you'd be so literal when you said "random thoughts".
That's more like a Twitter page and less like a blog of any other kind. I was speaking idiomatically. |

I'm not much of a blogger either... in fact, I don't really write journals or diaries..i've thought about whether i'm missing out or not, and perhaps I am...
I just can't get myself to write my thoughts on paper (or type them up on computer for that matter) But even if I did have my own journal, i doubt i'd use a blog and announce my personal thoughts in public FELIPE NO |
I tried a "cat blog" in german last year, but got bored soon. Currently I have a second try, I use a Wordpress.com account to document my short movie project, in english.

Everything´s getting better.
Nothing´s getting good. |
My option would be "I have a ChocoJournal I haven't updated in two months." Anyway, I've only ever used ChocoJournal. I used LiveJournal in 2003 sparingly.

I started a Xanga my freshman year of college 4 years ago, but that only lasted a few months. Two years ago, I started consistently blogging in my own webspace. I started using CJ here too when GFF came back in March last year. I hadn't used it previously. Last fall, I registered an LJ account; and last month, I reactivated the old stomping grounds again (Xanga). I'd say any entries I make all make it to my own blog, and then I'll put some of them on the other journal/blog sites too if audience-worthy enough. Some places get some unique entries too, e.g. LJ for memes or something or CJ for Gamingforce lol.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
The closest thing to a blog I use is the ChocoJournal here. I used to update the thing daily (except for maybe some weekends when I just wanted to be lazy), but now that I've pretty much ran out of new things to say, my journal is in sort of a limbo. However, I don't see myself deactivating it anytime soon though.

I blog... and what's more on myspace... let the flaming begin. But I do blog.. I really don't care if anyone reads it or not, it's nice to have a journal and look back at how much you've changed since such and such a time... you know? But what's even stranger is when I have over 30 hits on my blog after I've posted it. I didn't really think anyone on the internet gave a shit about my life.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
I am myself. You can't change me. I am who I am.

I blogging on Livejournal, but update it seldom.
