I never really had a problem with paying for damage taken, but the ammo costs were what killed you very fast.

I mean at the start with weaker weapons it wasn't a problem, but near the end when you got those grenade launchers and machine guns with a 1000 bullet clips, etc if you manage to empty all of it, which was quite easy, you LOST more money then you gained from that mission.

In the end I only used them if I was fighting enemies that were partially resistant to energy based weapons, and in arenas where they were no repair and ammo costs.

Hmm too bad. I was hoping the beam sabers would have been faster and easier to kill with. too bad. Does the game still have the shoulder anti-missile launchers? I liked that in AC2.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

In regards to repaying for damages and costs, is there an option to take on side missions over and over again which might potentially result in a net profit, just incase I got pretty much beat up in the previous mission and maybe didn't have enough money to cover up all the costs to be rejuvenated at 100% functionality for the next? That part is scaring me somewhat.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Yeah, one of the default mechs I played with had flares, for example, and I believe I saw some other anti missiles systems there when I was fucking around in the customization area.

Spat, you can replay older chapters, but the main reward purse is gone. If you replay on Hard, it's back again, but only once. Any time you beat the stage after that, you only gain the money for beating the stage under the preset parameters. IE, take less damange than allowed, use less ammo than allowed, and take less time than allocated. If you're super fast and don't take many hits you can get a bit of money from that.

:-(

All this discussion is making me want AC4 more and more. How is the Customization in AC4 (possibly compared to the older installments)? I heard there was significantly less parts, but the tuning was much more in-depth.

For me personaly I like the tuning better now. You can tune alot more of specs now. Its not just tuning parts anymore. Its more like tuning your AC all together

As far as less parts go iv noticed a lack of parts aswell, but dont get be worng the parts are still bad ass. but it would be nicer if they had added a bit more.

And......bump.

Ok, so who plays this other than me? I know Iwata and Miles have both given up on it, but there are others like Plarom and Ronz that still enjoy it.

I've been unable to S rank everything or beat all the missions on hard, but I'm working on it. So far it's quite fun. The Angel Wings are pretty awesome, but don't even get close to the rockin' that is the SIRIUS Hi-Laser Cannons.

What's everyone's favorite Revisions File? I'm still partial to 1.00 myself but the improvements to PA that come with the latest versions are a fresh change. I still do singleplayer stuff with 1.0 though.

There's also an English Demo that's been out for a while, dunno if anyone's had a chance to try it or not.

ARMORED CORE for Answer | ƒA[ƒ}[ƒhEƒRƒA@ƒtƒH[ƒAƒ“ƒT[

Trailer for Armored Core: For Answer: YouTube - Armored Core: For Answer - Trailer (01-11-2008)

Giant giant GIANT enemies, holy mother of fuck. That's most certainly awesome.

Wanna know what that says?

Quote:
Weapon power has been increased greatly.
Primal Armor (PA) strength upped by about 4 times.
You can blow up your PA shield as an attack (called Assault Armor feature. I don't know if it is AC specific or not).
Normal boosting speed about double (don't know about Quick Boost).
Normal Over Boost power increased.
Just over double the amount of parts.
40(42?) missions
You can play single player missions Co-op online and offline with either another player or an AI player (in single player, AI players are available as consorts, but choices depend on how the single-player game goes).
VOB in used in only a few missions (don't know if it is available online).
Omer, GA, and Interior Union are the three major groups. They each have sub-factions and such (don't know about some of the other corporations, but apparently they exist. BFF has their own armed fort).
Multiple Endings.
Missions are longer.
FUCK YES. YOU ARE THE BEST EXPANSION EVER.

Large booster makes you go retardedly fast. 2000 km/h. Twice as fast as the fastest overboost you could do in AC4.

How ya doing, buddy?

Is this Armored Core 5, or an expansion of sorts?

I am still waiting for AC4 to drop to around the $20 mark.

As per the usual AC shenanigans, it's an expansion. Hence being in the same thread.

I've seen both the 360 and PS3 versions at Best Buy for $20, and Circuit City has the PS3 version for $17.

So, anyone picked up 4 Answer yet? It dropped the other day and I've heard nothing but good things. Mainly how it's 4's answer (lmao) to Last Raven. (Aka a much better game over all. Better mission design, more part variety, and so forth.)

Plus that whole co-op thing. Anyone had a chance to try it yet?

That reminds me that I never got past like the fifth mission of AC4. I really ought to get back to it at some point.

Holy shit, against all expectations, Armored Core For Answer is getting released over here and in a couple of weeks too.

I still haven't got any further in the last one though.

Has anyone played this and is it worth getting?
