For me, it's just I'm old school DDR player and I know they were trying to be funny but I have seen funnier Freestyle Routines.

 Well from there where I come from, people are often dancing like this on streets when they hear music with their I-Pods or walkmans. For me they are just a few guys having fun  I was speaking idiomatically.
