I've never moved. Been living here on Long Island for all 17 years of my existance, and to be totally honest, it sucks. There is nothing to do. At all. I can't wait to go to college and get the hell out of here.
Most amazing jew boots |
![]() Guess what? It doesn't get any better. There's never anything to do. That's why so many people in so many places have cable/satellite and the internet. End of discussion. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
My current apartment is location number 13. My parents got divorced when I was young, then my mom remarried and got divorced again. That led to a lot of moves growing up. And, now that I'm in college, I've moved a couple more times. I know the number will be going up over the next couple years, too.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? ![]() |
I've moved 4 times in my life:
1. From down the street next to a supermarket in NFLD 2. from a townhouse in NFLD 3. our old home where I lived for over 20 years 4. our current residence How ya doing, buddy? ![]() You know what? you just might be full enough of shit to apply for congress |
I've lived in four different places now. From the time I was born until I turned four, I lived in a garage apartment. When I was four, we moved into the front house on that same piece of property. I went off to school and moved into an apartment on campus this september, but my family lived there until last week. We had to move out and now we're living in an apartment one city over.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
I've lived in New York my entire life, and still do... and love it.
I was born in Queens, moved within Queens twice, then moved to Long Island. Lived there for 12 years, now live in the city. Although I love it, I don't want to live here for the rest of my life. I want to go to grad/med school in California. I basically want to live in a very cosmopolitan area for now then move to nature, and slowly move more and more into natural surroundings. All in all, 5 times. FELIPE NO
The only way out is through.

Ohh.. let's see. A lot of moving was done when I was a baby, though I'm gonna count a move as any place I spent more than a few months.
So born in San Francisco, CA, USA, then (1) moved to Brisbane, Australia. Then (2) over to Manila, Philippines. Then (3) back to Brisbane, Australia, I think. Then (4) back to San Francisco, CA. Then (osnap 5) east-coasted to Alexandria, VA. A few years then (6) finally a place in Fort Washington, MD. A few more years then (7) a bigger house in Fort Washington, MD. Then (8) a dorm in College Park, MD. Back home in Ft. Wash (9). Then another (10) dorm over at CP. Then back home again (11). Then finally (12) an apartment in CP for 2 years. Now back home again (13). So 13... And, now, with a rather inconvenient commute to work, I see another move again my near future. As well as any moves I may need for future schooling and/or relocations... but that's a way's away. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
I've moved around 4 times in the last 18 years.
Born in Dayton, Ohio, lived there for a year. Moved to Suffolk County, Long Island, where I lived for 7-8 years, had a good childhood there. Moved to Chesapeake, Virginia where I lived for about another 7-8 years and had an even better childhood there (for the first 4 or so years anyway). Moved to Tampa Bay, Florida around July 2005, where i've lived up till now, which sucked at first but wound up being much better at the start of '06. Yea it kind of gets to be a hassle, moving to a new area your senior year isn't fun either, but fresh starts are pretty nice...I don't really know how you 20+ movers must feel though. And Matt is dead on, for the most part. How ya doing, buddy? |
I have lived in the same house during all my life and I can say that it has become a part of me. Due to the messed up government of my country and their horrible "21th century's socialism" laws soon this home may not be a property of my family anymore, and that makes me very sad...
I cannot imagine myself moving (At least yet, eventually I'll have to move out to my own place, sure.) to another place, I feel way too attached to my memories here and the place itself. Can people that have moved many times feel attached to their homes like this too? Or do you guys just see your new place as a "long term hotel till' I move again" or something of the sort? (Yeah, it's a weird selection of terms, but I can't find a more "elegant" way to put it.) There's nowhere I can't reach. |
