MAXIMUM STAR POINT BONUS *****

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Okay this is fun and all guys but it's beginning to look like spam. This isn't Testing/City Streets.

Yeah, I'll be getting this game. Reminds me of Beetle Adventure Racing, a game that deserved a sequel. An EA game no less! How's that possible?!

Holy SHIT. Acer liked Beetle Adventure Racing too? Motherfucking AWESOME.

A shame that game was as short as it was though. Needed to be like....100 tracks long and 400 hours of gameplay time. Because it ruled.

I was speaking idiomatically.

I gotta say at first I didn't really care about this title at all. But then I saw a couple of videos the other day and it looks awesome! The graphics look really great (screenshots don't do it justice at all) and the insanely high jumps and speeds seem great and a little burnout-esque...atleast the speed part. Hope it turns out good cuz I'll definately pick it up if it lasts.

Australia exclusively got the sequel, HSV Adventure Racing.

Spoiler:
Sequel as in all they did was replace the cars with what they hoped we'd go nuts for and gave the announcer an Aussie accent. Oh and they put borders all around the screen so it ran in a small window. Most confusing decisions ever!

Chiming in to say <3 this game.

The learning curve was a bit different for me, but it is possible to get used to, and right now I'm loving this game. Currently unlocked Super Excite; the game has quite a number of unlockables giving it a nice replay value.

The challenges are not insane, but rather insanely long. I haven't finished any of them yet

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Oh yeah, finally got this. <3 This game was the whole reason I wanted a Wii, so why I bought the machine at launch when the game wasn't a launch title here WHO KNOWS. But man this is a big damn load of fun. Even the bad wah wah pissrock music reminds me of Midway's old arcade racers. The controls work really, really well. It's refreshing after battling with Downhill Jam's slow reaction times with the tilting.

Managing to toss all the CPU trucks at once and watch them flip into the side of the Great Wall of China is one of those precious el oh el moments in gaming.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Loving it. I was so happy when I unlocked Razor, which I assumed was the last truck, then Super Excite mode is available and hey there's another stack of them here. I don't see replay value being great after I unlock everything, but this game is amazingly fun. Controls feel very natural after an hour or so, too.

Why am I not in this thread?

Yes, BIG DAMN TRUCKS was definitely my favorite game since the Wii launch here for the first month or so (until Elebits). Then after Elebits was complete, BDT became the top game again.

But I've stopped playing it since unlocking everything. The only-2-player-without-CPUs multiplayer really doesn't add much for replay value. ;_;

That was back before EA fired up their massive sequel factory and bought every game developer on the planet.

I remember being amazed at all the funny stuff you could find in that game, like the sounds after you run into a telephone booth if you stay to listen to them. Why does no one put awesome shortcuts into racing games anymore? I miss RUSH and BAR so very much. BIG DAMN TRUCKS is a step in the right direction though.

I played RUSH on the N64 for sooo long. Really great game. They should make them available on Wii Play or whatever it's called. I might have to buy a Wii if that's added on top of everything else already available. Plus.

I gotta say I've been playing this game for about a month now and its a lot more fun than I thought it would be. Sure, the game is a little shallow..the multiplayer is pretty bad IMO and there isn't too much unlockable content (though the two extra modes and secret trucks are still keeping me busy), but the gameplay is loads of fun and the game looks great graphically. I'd say its definitely worth a look if your searching for something to play on your wii.
