Thank you very much. I picked up the MAME versions of both and they sounded simliar. There a slight sound clarity difference but that's probably do to moving the game from the arcade to the Genesis. Thanks again.

Is this really happening or is it just another cruel April 1st gag ? I can't find anything relevant to it.

Hey everyone, I'm wondering where is a good place to buy game music online that has cheap shipping. I usually go with Cdjapan, but there cheapest shipping is 1200 yen, which is pretty expensive and very slow. There fastest is like 2200 yen.

So, am I missing out on something or are there cheaper places to order from?

EDIT:

Seems I have just answered my own question, Cocoebiz seems to be cheaper. Any other places though?

The entry says "delete" now, so I assume it was a gag, whatever it was.

There's Play-Asia and YesAsia. Though, YesAsia is a little more expensive, you can get free shipping...

Also, Play-Asia has a few things you can't get elsewhere. The only other place that comes to mind is Gamemusic.com. Price is slightly higher and shipping is up there, but it's located in the states.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

I request help for identifying 4 tracks from the PS2 game "Urban Reign". They are the only ones that interested me in the rip and that I kept, but they don't have track names.

The composers (Rio Hamamoto, Junichi Nakatsuru, Katsuro Tajima, Akitaka Toyama, Yoshihito Yano) are part of the Namco Sound Team and worked on several recent series projects including Ace Combat, Ridge Racer, Tekken, Soul calibur and Katamari.

Here is a link to download them, if anyone can help: http://s62.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1...S251BDBCRD1KX7

Thanks!

I have been wondering ever since I saw this trailer on a demo disc I once got with a PS mag (must be about 9 years ago), and I still love it. Does anyone what this is?

I remember hearing this piece in a TV commercial a couple of years ago (post '97). So I'm not even sure if it's something that Square produced themselves. I tried to find some info on it myself back in the day, but I found nothing.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Sorry, http://jeff.ali213.net/GVOnline/index.htm

I guess the www one makes you countered an error. Anyway, I hope someone could help me. The OST is orchestrated. It's pity such great music left the composer unknown.

Neil Baldwin is credited for Audio, so I guess he composed the music for this game. I know he did at least another soundtrack, for Machine Hunter.

Rimo, do you know who wrote music for Uncharted Water Online?
http://jeff.ali213.net/GVOnline/index.htm

I kinda guessed it's Yoko Kanno. But I'm not really sure.

I don't know, but if you search for "Uncharted Waters Online" and "Yoko Kanno", here's two pages that seems to confirm your guess:

I seek help for identifying some tracks (from which games they are from). They are all from a rip of an old PSX demo disc I downloaded long ago, but I can't seem to be able to find info about it. According to the tags, it was released in 1995 and is called "PSX Demo Disc 1". Out of them all, the only track I believe I heard elsewhere is "Track 8", but still, I can't put my finger on which game it is, and it's beginning to drive me crazy! So, any help is welcome and thanks!

Here's a download link for the rip: http://s41.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2...Q0H67IDXWZSXTK

Tracks 5 and 6 are from Rage Racer; they're tracks 2 and 14 respectively from the Red Book audio (the rip starts at 1). Don't know any of the other ones, but they're NOT from RR, so they're probably from other games on the demo disc.

Oh nice! Thanks a lot, CHz! With this, I've been able to find out the disc is in fact "Jampack Vol.1" (1997). I've also been able to replace where I heard Track 8 -> from the game "Lifeforce Tenka". But I'm still uncertain about the rest... here are the games featured on the disc:

The unknown tracks are probably from these:

NBA Shootout '97 (probably not)
Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo (probably not)
Dynasty Warriors
Thunder Truck Rally
Rally Cross

The first three tracks might be from this one, but I only remember the main theme:

Pitfall 3D

I verified these and the tracks aren't from them:

Machine Hunter
The Lost World
MDK
Herc's Adventure

And the two we've identified so far:

Rage Racer
Lifeforce Tenka

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

That page doesn't say anything about the singer of Palm Rock Valley, but I'd assume it'd have the same vocalist.

Google has a cache for the Red Book list, but it's from 2004.

mrman1 maintained that list, so you could contact him and see if he saved a copy.
I've dug up the most recent list from my hard drive. Hopefully, I'll be posting it on our forums and wikis, as well.

Ok, this is driving me nuts. You all know the wonderful song "Symphonic Poem 'Forbidden Prelude'" from Drag-On Dragoon 2. I have to know; what language are they singing in?? Are there any lyrics for this song anywhere? I love this song to death, it is definitely in my top 5 all-time VGM favorites, but I can't even sing along to it, or even figure out what they're saying in the first place.

Somebody has to know.

Song Identification

Does anyone recognize this tune? It came from "Civ II" but I'm pretty sure it's not original. It originally accompanied the "DaVinci's Workshop" wonder.
