At least "Heaven Ray!" beats out "Cl-l-l-l-loyster!" Actually...maybe not, but "Nebula Macular!" sure beats "Way to go!" If anything, I think the fairy shouts were pretty bland. All 8 of them seemed like slight variations and the only notable ones for me were Seren and the woman boss in the final 4. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
All Lip ever says is "Igata" or something. She's better than Puyo Pop okay you guys
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Why must they be so dishearteningly plain? Between the Gamecube Nintendo Puzzle Collection and Dr. Mario/Panel De Pon, the games are stripped-down gameplay without incentives to continue...
...except for improving their skills at, you know, the best puzzle video game ever created. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Holding the DS like a book is making me cry. I didn't like it at all with Meteos: Disney Magic... V_V
I was speaking idiomatically. |
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Fuck stands. The DS is called a HANDHELD for a reason. You don't play it at home, you play it out on the open road.
And yes I hate this book holding shit as well. Still... it's Panel de Pon. I can forgive you, sweetie Most amazing jew boots |
Seriously, the stands are god, so you can either purchase one online or continue complaining about holding it vertically. How ya doing, buddy? |
I'm getting an aversion to such games. There's nothing wrong with holding the DS the normal way, thanks Nintendo.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
More games need to be sideways, because the internet shakes with rage! I like it, plus the best portable game ever needs to be played with the screen on its side.
How ya doing, buddy? |
PSP's WTF also goes sideways for the waitress minigame. Loads of fun since you feel like a waitress with your newfangled order-taking contraption complete with screaming customers.
I just realized that the sideways holding will make it a lot easier for anybody to do crazy skill chains since you'll probably have to control with the touchscreen if you want to do anything holding it like that The sliding panel switching will probably be as broken as Gunpey DS and Meteos (to a much lesser extent), unless you have to tap both blocks you want to switch or something. There goes the advantage of years of Tetris Attack mastery down the drain... This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
official site - higher quality stream I want it in cartridge format. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Holy WOW. I thought that was going to be one of those Bit Generation games when the video started. I knew I should have put an 's' after 'game'. Then removed an 's' from 'needs'. =o
I was speaking idiomatically. |
Just dodging a screen full of bullets? That's all it is?
Well, I suppose it's good Touhou practice. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Update on the game's title: Apparently it's going to be called "Planet Puzzle League" and will release in the US on June 4th, as well as in Japan on April 26th. Yeah.

Shoot, You know, If I could go back in time and chance one gaming factor, it would be Rareware canceling thier plans to import the orgional SNES PanDePon.
Cuz, that was totaly the start of the whiteness. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? All I'm saying is that if the laptops of the future are not in the
shape of chibi genie girls then I'm going to be sorely disappointed. |
Hmm this looks pretty interesting. I love Tetris Attack and Meteos for the DS is a lot of fun (though I always wished it was Wi-Fi enabled). Might pick it up, especially if its got wi-fi.

Someone on the internet ran across this rare Pokemon. WHO COULD THIS BE?
I wonder if there's also a Yoshi's Island skin. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Still really wanting to play this game. Not going to import though, and no flash carts right now, so I guess I'll just wait awhile.
Oh and it was disappointing to hear from Play-Asia that the stickers aren't going to be included. They just vanished. Like Phoenix Wright 2 all over again. I wanted to stick a red block on my DS, but OH NO, fuck that idea, we'll just release the game with no preorder bonus at all. D: This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Although this game does look pretty bland and I'm not a fan of holding the DS on its side, I'll definitely be picking this up. The wi-fi seals the deal, and I know the actual gameplay will be fun at least. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
I was addicted to puzzle league that was packed in with doctor mario GBA cartridge and I can only imagine how fun this'll be with stylus control rather than scrolling the switch box around.
Now if only we could get a Dr. Mario for DS all my current puzzle fantasies would be fulfilled. I was speaking idiomatically. |
Actually, Brain Age 2 (out in August) includes Dr. Mario. Seriously! I mean they replaced Mario tossing the pills with Dr. Kawashima's giggling angry face, but hey.
Aaaand box art. How can a ghost hold a stylus? Tsk tsk! What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
I've been playing the japanese version recently. It's really great. There's also a translation for the menus available so you can patch your game into english (there's about 25 different options in menus).
The game can be changed from horizontal to vertical and vise versa. Personally I prefer the game played vertically and with the stylus. Using the stylus makes making three-in-a-row vertically or horizontally much faster and much easier. The down side to this though is that you can't position your blocks for combos as accurately. Still, I really like what they've done with the stylus. I haven't tried the wifi section out yet. I'm afraid of getting my ass kicked by japanese puzzle nerds. ;_; FELIPE NO |
Please tell me it is complete with chain shouts/chain sound effects and cute mascots =o! I guess making skill chains now with the stylus control eliminates the fun, hard way of alternating between left/right and pressing A at hi-speed. Feels like a way of making chains even faster, which in turn will require people to exceed their former Tetris Attack or Panel de Pon skills!
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Uh. Well no. It doesn't have any characters or anything of what you've mentioned. It has Lin's theme though, which is an unlockable.
Game's gone for more of a Lumines, polished professional feel. It's still a really good game though. Lip's theme:

Well, ACCORDING to gamefaqs(great sauce I know) it'll be called "Planet Puzzle League" and the release date is 6/4/07. So only a few weeks down the road. I'm surprised I haven't seen much info from Kotaku or IGN on this game. I loved Tetris Attack so I'm pretty pumped for this one.
As for the different styles, if they can pull off some slick graphics along with some catchy tunes, it'll only make the experience all that more. FINGERS CROSSED. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
