Okay, here's the deal.
I was going through some old home movies last week when I came across a tape of me, my siblings and my nephew goofing around with some digital music channels on our cable box. At one point, we come across a goofy sounding song that sounds like it came out around the 50s/60s (I could tell cause it has that beach party-like guitar). Thanks to the age of the tapes (over six years old this year), the audio is rather blurry so its kind of hard to understand just what is being said in the song but I was hoping someone might recognize it just by listening to the small snippet I have from the VHS. link (Drag & Drop or right-click save as if it doesn't work) At one point, I think the words "We can run together" or "come on, come on" is said but thanks to either the VHS or the actual song age, it is almost next to impossible to distinguish. Heck, for all I know this could've been playing on one of those Latin music channels so chances are good that I'll never know the name of the song. Thanks in advance, even if it can't be identified and sorry for the totally useless backstory. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
I think I asked about this piece way back in 2003 when I first joined the forums, but with everything restarted, I figure I might as well give it another try.
Here is the piece in question. It's from the video preview of Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy featured on the demo disc of the Official US Playstation Magazine, issue 56. What I'd like to know is where the music comes from since it certainly doesn't sound like anything Naughty Dog has used for the J&D series proper. Composer, album, track title...any info would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Could somebody identify the song/singer in the Rockman ZX Special DVD trailer? Thanks in advance.

This hopefully should be pretty easy...the music in the game "The Sims" that plays when two sims are kissing...it sounds very familiar, and I'm just wondering if I'm losing my mind, or that is a part of another musical piece.
Thanks Double Post:
How ya doing, buddy? |
Ok i remember sending this track for ID ages ago here in GFF and i will try it once more lol. I downloaded this from Kazaa (masters of corrupt files, etc) years ago and to this day i do not know where it is from. I mean it is titled "Across the Stars" and i do not know if it is an alternate theme of the famous Star Wars:AOTC OST or a piece of music from a totally different film/anime/game. But i posted it here in hopes that someone will be able to ID this beautiful piece of music.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Can someone tell me what the name of the piano song is from the movie unleashed? It's the part where jet li plays a duet with the girl. Thanks in advanced. I've heard that song many times just don't know what it's called.
There's nowhere I can't reach.

The song played in Unleashed is "L'amour est un oiseau rebelle" from the Habanera suite of the opera Carmen.
You can download it free from the sheet music archive .net, I'd post the URL but for some stupid reason I don't have enough posts to do so This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

But the album "In Seach of the Lost Chord" was from the 60s, I think. (One of their better albums if you ask me.) You may want to check out their stuff and see if thats what you're looking for. Its worth a listen eitherway. I was speaking idiomatically. |
Does anyone know what song this is?

Can anyone identify the song/artist from this video? What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
I've no idea what this is...
Ive been trying to identify this tune and what game it comes from for a while and had no success whatsoever. I figured that the guys here at GFF may be of some help.
A friend of mine sent me this tune initially. He encountered it while playing in MUGEN (that freeware fighting game thingy that you can edit to add in any character/music/etc that you like). I attatched a screenshot of the stage in question that you hear it on in the game. I'm not for certain if that may be of any help, but I figured "what the hell would it hurt?" Anyways - does anyone have ANY idea where this song comes from at all? Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Ok, here's one I need help with.
The Dell commercial with the custom laptop. White background, two guys sitting in a go-cart. You see the guy picking things, he chooses a CG gorilla, Einstein, music, etc. Then a guy stuffs the gorilla into the notebook and then stares at Einstein. What's the song played in the bg? There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Can someone help me identify the song that is playing in the background of this movie? You can begin to hear the song in the background starting at the 0:59 mark, and the couple is just adorable, you'll enjoy watching. Here is a link to the movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YcdXyy65Luk. Thanks for your help.

That song is "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley (and God do I hate that song to no end).

Here is a challenge!
I downloaded this from MP3.com like...seven years ago? Six? It's been awhile, anyway. I found it on a mixtape I made back then, and converted it to MP3 only I don't know who did it and I would like to! GOOD LUCK. http://www.sendspace.com/file/34w31h I was speaking idiomatically. |

I have a question about a piece of music. In Kingdom Hearts II, there's some beautiful piano music in the background during the introduction, when you're watching Sora's memories in static. I've downloaded every track listed on the soundtrack (like 70 of them!) and none of them are it. It's so pretty and sweet and I am dying to find it. If anyone can help me, that would be awesome. Thanks!

It's got a list of artists who have covered that particular song, so atleast it's a start. Most amazing jew boots GI Joe is the codename for America's highly trained special mission force. Its purpose: to defend human freedom against COBRA. A ruthless terrorist organization determined to rule the world. 24 can't jump the shark. Jack Bauer ate the shark long ago. Now 24 can only jump the water, and that doesn't mean anything. - Jazzflight <Krizzzopolis> acid you are made of win. <Dissolution> And now my god damn scissors are all milky |
Yeah, I had found that awhile ago. It's not among them, mostly because whoever made this wasn't a "mainstream" artist with any sort of record deal outside of self-publication.
How ya doing, buddy? |
Thanks for your help Rockgamer. It was the first time I ever heard that song, so I haven't gone crazy from listening to it yet.
I'm trying to track down another song. Maybe from the early 90's. I might have heard it in one of those teen romance comedy movies, and it plays sometimes on a radio station here that plays soft rock and love songs. I want to say it's a cover from the Cardigans, but using Google to search for the lyrics and all that has turned me up with nothing. Some of the lyrics as far as I can remember them are like "so true" ... "you know I'm just a fool for you" ... "and everything that you do" ... "all the time" yea... Damnit. Shit I've been having a bad time remembering things lately. I've included a clip with me humming parts of the tune if that might help. Edit: 9/20/06 - Thanks to BigHairyFeet for identifying the song: The Cranberries - Linger. There's nowhere I can't reach.
