The Invisible man probably worked with Mr. Bennet in the past. That would explain Bennet's familiarity and why Claude knows so much about talented people. For example his exasperation when he discovered Peter was an Empath.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Quick Note: The second part to "how do you stop an exploding man" explains that the two puncture holes on the neck from the gun wasn't to cause their powers to sharpen, but it was to track them...as Ted said it was like he was an "animal" to them, or something to that extent...so it seems Bennet could be just researching and keeping an eye on them to monitor their progress

I think thats just purely down to his initial power of being able to see how things work.

Do I smell a showdown between Sylar and the invisible man!?!?!
The problem is Sylar and the Haitan are the only ones who fit so far. Unless the writers pull something out of their ass and say the Invisible Man used to live in Texas and trained Claire's mom to burn people or something.

I was speaking idiomatically.

I know that Claude is training Peter, but does anyone else wonder how Claude seems to know exactly how Peter's power works?

Well...Claude doesn't seem to know how Peter's power works.

I think Claude is telling him to forget these people to somewhat "purge" the powers that are inside of Peter so that he sweats out the powers building up inside of him...cause everytime Peter remembers how the person made him feel, or however he put it, he uses that power.

Maybe Claude doesn't want Peter to seem out of the ordinary to protect him from Bennet. Who knows really.

How ya doing, buddy?

He didn't, Peter told him how they work.
Claude then said he mind is like a filing cabinet, and he needed to forget about whatever was holding him back from reaching his potential (ie his loved ones) to access these powers. But then Peter realizes that he needs to remember them to be able to access (nathan was right, peter is too sensitive lol).
The whole chucking Peter off the roof, was f**cking brilliant, I thought was going to start flying but when he went splat into the car, I thought he died lol!

Claude was surprised he could regenerate, it seems peter only mentioned that he could fly to him. He is still protecting Claire it seems.

I dont think Hiro can be the past version of Linderman, as I remember Nathan has met both people. All this hype about Linderman lol, they better not disappoint by it being someone thats like Bill Gates lol

But up until then, we thought that Peter could only mimic powers when other heroes were around him. When he threw Peter off the roof, Claude either knew exactly how Peter's powers worked or is just plain crazy.

should of picked up on this before, but Claude is invisible, he steals, but he lives like a tramp, when he could live like a king. But since we know Bennet thought he was dead, it seems this was all to evade someone.

Bennett doesn't know Peter has powers does he??? Why did he not think it was odd to hear Peter was pysically invisible??

Eden told him when Mohinder told her. It was in an earlier episode - she was on the phone, and at first it was about flying, but I believe they sorta figured it out later. That's when Bennett learned about Hiro for the first time, too.

Yeah, when Bennett found out that Peter was invisible. Bennett said something about an old friend. I think he was referring to Claude.

I had a couple of questions, and ended up rewatching the new episode [Distractions], and... well, watching it again didn't really clear anything up. The first was about how Bennet got out of the Sylar's cell, but I assume that Haitian got him out. No big deal there.

More importantly... They let Niki/Jessica go, and she goes home to Micah, but... Where is DL? And all of the money that Micah brought home? Even if DL is just 'out of the house', it seems like he'd been gone a while, cause Jessica had a chance to shower and such.

Bit of random neatness: In the episode after Eden dies, you see Mohinder talking with a cop. He says that she 'turned up dead', with a gunshot wound, in a certain Ramsey Lake, in Sudbury, Ontario. I thought that was sorta cool, cause that's pretty much where I live. The university I attend is on the lake, and the beaches that we hang out at in the summer.

It must of been the Haitian because they stormed the house together.
Where did Sylar pick up the powers to not be killed by bullets?? I remember the cop shot him when he tried to get the little girl? (lol what ever happened to that girl).

I was wondering where the hell Sylar was hidding to be able to sneak up behind Bennett??

Good point about DL, must of been out mowing the lawn.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Not that I know for sure, but it's probable that Tim Kring or another writer grew up in that area and chose to mention it as a small nod to their home community.

For example, the movie, "Bride of Chucky", was partially set and filmed in my hometown here in Western New York because the lead writer was born here and knew the topography well enough to write it into the film.

I bet the mention of Sudbury was simply a tip of the hat by someone who's spent a lot of time there.

^ Yeah, it's probably something like that, I just thought the mention was cool.

My other question is... Originally, when Suresh found Sylar, he didn't really seem to have a power. After he killed the telekinesis guy [Brian, I think?] he 'gained' his power... But all the other 'murders' so far, he's cut out the person's brain. To see what makes them 'tick'. Do we know what he does to gain the powers yet?

Awesome series. Just wondering what Pete would be like if he brought up the feelings when he saw Syler, what type of powers would he get? Syler's original ability, or all his abilities?

No, but his original power is to see how things tick. Using that he was able to get the telekinesis somehow. Probably cut him open too using a knife of some sort. Afterwards he just used his newly gained power to cut everyone else open to study.

As far as I know, there is no official listing of the powers that he gained. Even on the Primatech Paper websight, they only list telekinesis as his only "official" power. The only other powers that I can think of right now is super strength because when he backhanded Claire in the school, she was REALLY messed up. And the recall power that he got from the girl in the diner that Hiro tried to save. Can anyone else think of any other powers that Sylar has picked up or demonstrated?

He never managed to get the girl at the diner remember, Hiro went back in time and stopped that event from happening.

I remember her telling Hiro that she was dying of a brain tumor, or something, and then Hiro came back to the present time; but when he met Ando back at the resturant, the waitress wasn't there. I can't remember if the memorial was still up in the background or not.

I think it was; but Hiro said that he "couldn't change the past"... I just assumed that he meant he wasn't able to change what happened. Then again, if you start thinking about the whole time travel thing, and creating rifts... Well, my head starts to hurt. Heh.

As for Sylar, technically he should only have the powers of telekinesis, and from Charlie at the diner, assuming he got her power. About Eden--we don't know if he got her power. Did she shoot herself, or did he pull the trigger?

Sylar has the powers of everyone he's stolen them from. As far as we know that could be hundreds of individuals.

Well let's see what he has done so far.

He seems to be fast, so he has speed.

He can freeze people from the way it looks.

Telekineses

Strength...and that's all I can tell other than his initial ability

She died of the brain tumor in the end, in the end Hiro could change anything because it was her fate.

Its odd that he has strength as one of his powers I don't think it is, I think he just uses manifests his telekineses power to appear as strength.
I think it is true that he must off killed more people than we know of, it will be interesting to see if they give Slyar a flash back episode, LOST style, or give him runins with Hiro (one power you definately dont want Sylar to have).

If Sylar got Hiro's power it would be game over. Sylar would know exactly how it works and just go back in time and take everyone's power as soon as it started to manifest itslef.

A Sylar flashback episode would be awesome. I forgot that he had the freeze power, too.

The "speed" part of Sylar`s powers seems to be more than just that. Remember the episode way back when we didn`t even know who Sylar was? After he got "shot" (probably repelled the bullets with his telekinesis) he just kinda "flew" outta there...

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
