Is it just me, or does it seem ridiculously easy to pull off smashes now. I'm not saying they were hard before, but I found my characters pulling off smashes all the time, even when I'm just trying to do tilt attacks.

It felt different to me. Not necessarily easier, but it did feel different.

Though, playing it more and more does make it seem easier now, since we're getting more used to the system at hand.

I was focused on Mr. Game and Watch mainly for the novelty factor, but after taking him for a spin in SSE he's surprisingly straightforward. I really wasn't expecting him to be that good. The only really wierd attack is his projectile (which is now fish, sausage, bacon, AND flapjacks), which isn't that hard to adjust to if you treat it as an anti-air attack. He plays a lot like an agile heavyweight; crappy range, but his stuff hits pretty hard.

I called it a night at 65%; just how late in does Sonic appear? I know he was a last minute addition, but much longer and he's just going to be a cameo at the end.

I guess I'll throw it in spoiler tags so no one bites my head off.

He shows up and joins you right before you fight the final boss.

Wolf - I owned you

Sorry I bailed after 2 games, I was just trying out some online play and wanted to jump back into SSE to earn some more PLAYAS.

I bought my copy of Brawl earlier this morning. I've been playing the game all day and, boy, Subspace Emissary turned out better than I thought it be! Luigi plays very similarly to his previous incarnations. However, I still need to get adjusted to his new Luigi Cyclone. Anyway, friend code: 5155-2611-0074

Hit me up with a PM if you want a match. I added everybody who was already in the Wiki. I'll edit mine in there in a little bit.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

So here's a burning question:

Who actually used stickers in SSE?

I'm using a few stickers on Link right now... I'm not very far into it, and I havent actually used Link since applying the stickers, but hey whatever. We'll see how they work.

I'm definitely quite surprised as to how long SSE takes. They really made me have to earn Ganondorf. Granted, even so, SSE is probably the fastest way to unlock everybody (if not most of the characters), except maybe the ones that take only a few matches to unlock, like Ness, Marth or Luigi.

As for stickers, not I. I didn't want to become dependent on them or get used to having whatever extra effect they grant and be thrown off by it when I play multiplayer or something.

On a funnier note...

Spoiler:
I had this hilarious idea that someone should replace the audio of Luigi's intro cutscene with the short Brak song "Don't Touch Me".

I did. But I let the game select them randomly to save time. I mean, with all those characters you get it could take awhile to customize every single person. I did kind of customize it for the party I used in the last dungeon though. I didn't notice if they really helped or not.

Man, midterms this week and I officially spent zero time studying. I'm gonna have to try to cram it all in my head tomorrow before work ends and testing begins. >_> I hope I'm not the only one here who abandoned life to play this stupid game.

I never had to use stickers mostly for the reasons Josiah already stated. Being used to an extra effect that doesn't work in multiplayer would throw me off considerably.

Incidentally, has anybody else noticed how the Primids change faces? For example, in one instance they had both eyes, but in another they started appearing with one eyeball and, afterwards, a red mark. Does anybody know what triggers this?

I guess in my mind I'm trying to do SSE at least once without assistance (like with guides and such) so even though stickers are a legit part of the game, I don't want to rely on them either. Of course, if the game gets too damn hard, I'm sure I'll wuss out and put on some of those stickers, no problem. But just want to see how far I can get without em.

So, I think my Wii fixed itself. I'm debating whether or not I still want to send it in.

In the mean time, I cannot for the LIFE of me make out my friend code. I'll give a few internets to the person who can identify it! Sim and I couldn't (then again, we're blind as bats).

;_;

No midterms, but got a test later this week... On the last day of classes for me... before Spring Break.

Also random curiosity in the form of a spoiler tag!

Spoiler:
So for anyone who's gotten to The Great Maze, who was your 4-team?

Mine was:

- Ike
- Fox
- Falco
- Meta Knight

Spring break is a waste for people like me who work full time. ;_________;

Spoiler:

Lucario
Fox
Ike
Samus

I love finishing off my prey with large energy balls with Lucario when he's over 100% damage.

Chaotic: I'm surprised Wolf isn't there instead of Fox. Unless you missed getting him in the ruins.

Hooray space wasters... A bunch of people did mention that something needs to be done about the spoiler text in the 5 latest posts thing, right?

Yay! Spoiler chatz:
You can get him before you finish the SSE? o_o

I suppose I missed him, but I have no idea in hell where to go.

On a random note: Facing G&W in The Great Maze. That greenish outline on him is a nice touch.

4339 2173 3088

4339 2173 3088

4338 2173 3088

Oh. Wrong guess on my end.

That last number looks like it could be a 6, too. Maybe 4338-2173-3086?

Spoiler:

Pokemon Trainer
Luigi
Wario
Yoshi

I didn't really stick to a team until the latter third of the Great Maze. I wanted to see what everyone was capable of before sticking to favorites. Wario and Pokemon Trainer were the new characters I had the most success with.

Spoiler:
You have to finish SSE to get Jigglypuff, Toon Link, and Wolf in SSE (obviously!) D:

Wolf is in a new door that appears on The Ruins, in that area where spikes start popping out of the walls and you're riding a platform down. Just ignore the first door and go all the way to the bottom.

So, since yesterday was my birthday (brawl launch day whee) I decided to walk into a store and buy the last non-reserve copy they had. Then I spent entire day unlocking everyone (took about 11 hours because I'm slow and wanted to 100% all of SSE. I realized that is impossible until you actually FINISH SSE first...)

Played a few online matches, it was kinda laggy but not really. Enough to still use speedy characters and not look like an idiot.

I suppose I'll go back to Events and the other modes now >_>;

How ya doing, buddy?

good god...my eyes are burning. I've just played a whole 9 hours of SSBB...I really should finish my homework LoL

(which consists of a taping of crap onto boards)

The only character I have left to unlock is Toon Link. I might hop online to play a bit of SSB online so hopefully I see some of you on.

and does anyone know why I can't register for the wiki?

That's right. I forgot you had to beat the game first before the doors to the secret characters appear. For some reason I thought I unlocked Wolf before that.
