On youtube I've been watching Ayumi's Arena Tour 2006. Has anyone seen this? It seems Ayu sounds fine when singing alone but when the backup singers join in... it sounds pretty bad =/ And... I don't remember which song it was on, but one of her outfits made her look really fat >.< But I like the show. <3 Ayumi

If it's on YouTube then I can't imagine the sound quality is that great. I've still got her 2004/5 tour on DVD to watch I think. Oops.

I have 89$ of DVDs in my cart at YesAsia to buy. Her Arena Tour 2006 is 50$+ so I haven't decided to buy it. I'm waiting for Taiyou No Uta Hong Kong Ver. to come out... hoping it has subs.

sry I only deleted the ones I don't listen to that much, mostly the rnb/hip-hop/pop stuff, and the old albums that I have sitting on my HD (sup Ayu and BoA and friends).

Don't worry naz, the cds are safely hidden in a secret treasure chest, you need to finish the Mob Hunts before you can get the chest, so it's safe. lol

/me slaps himself for deleted 5gb of jpop.

To be honest I did delete an amount of J-Pop (along with other musics) a little while ago as I had a general clear up of my collection. Mostly getting rid of things I didn't own, and primarily of those the things I didn't listen to hardly at all (hello again BoA ). I've also ended up finally syncing my iPod with my PC, which is much better, now I can see just how much I'm really listening to certain songs.

Does anyone have mp3's from Nightmare? You know, the band who did the theme songs for Death Note I really can't find any of thier stuff, oddly. No torrents or anything. (I have the WORLD and Alumina, but i'm looking for anything else.)

On additional ayu news, a new album is coming out.

It's worth noting that this new Ayu album started life as an intended mini-album with some of her recent releases on. Somewhere along the line they decided to make it a full album, though obviously the number of new tracks is minimal.

To be honest I've not been that keen on her recent releases so I think I shall give this album a miss.

On a related avex note, Koda Kumi has her 34th (yes, 34th) single coming out on 6th December. Yet another double a-side, it'll come in two covers, one for each a-side, and CD/CD+DVD combinations.

A more interesting pair of releases to note, is that Shiina Ringo will be putting out a new solo single and new solo album come the new year. This is something I'm very excited about. <3 me some Shiina.

Double Post:
Woo, MAY is bringing out her first album in January. Good news indeedy.

Also, I think I may have mentioned this before, but Koharu Kusumi's new single "Balalaika" absolutely rocks. The PV is also rather cute and worth checking out (or so I think, but then I'm slightly biased).

How ya doing, buddy?

Yeah, I knew about the album. For some reason I thought it had already been mentioned here. Ho hum. But yeah, I've not been too keen on Kumi's recent stuff. It's been OK, but nothing special, and certainly nothing I'd consider buying.

For those people who might be interested, BoA's got a new Japanese album on the way. It will include "nanairo no ashita ~brand new beat~," "Your Color," "KEY OF HEART," "DOTCH," "Winter Love," "Candle Lights," and more, for a total of fourteen tracks. The CD+DVD edition will include the single tracks' PVs and live footage from "BoA the LIVE." A first press bonus is expected.

Why do all my fave jpop singers have to release their new albums around the same time? I just can't keep up. It's even worse that i'm soooo picky with album covers etc and the limited editions seem to have the best covers most of the time so I have to rush and buy them so I don't miss out

I'm really looking forward to Koda Kumi's new album cus she has been releasing a lot of great music lately. I'm not so sure about Ayumi and BoA's new albums though. Their music hasn't been up to scratch lately IMO.

On another note, I just bought Ayu Trance 1 & 3 (I bought 2 a while ago). I love those albums soooo much

Kumi releasing a lot of great music, really? The only thing of hers I've thought was that good lately was the collaboration with EXILE, which is quite funky.

I liked Yume No Uta/Futari De!!! I like her softer songs... her more up-beat stuff is... not that great to me. Like Koi no Tsubomi was soooo bad in my opinion.

I've been trying to keep up with BoA but sometimes when I hear her songs tooo much, it gets kinda annoying so I just do what vempy does... *deletes BoA*

New Ringo single, "kono yo no kagiri", is January (19.01) and the album, currently untitled, hits February (21.02). It's four years since her last solo album, and whilst we've had Tokyo Jihen I do prefer her solo stuff so yeah, this is definitely exciting times.

To the YUI fans out there, you can, if you look, find a copy of the new single's cover floating around. Not 100% if it's definitely the finished article, but if it is I can say it's that great, but it's not too terrible.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I can't get enough of Koda Kumi's new stuff. Juicy, I'll Be There, Ningyo Hime, Yume No Uta and Won't Be Long are all great tracks. I think I might even like this album better than her Best Second Session and I really loved that album.

On the other hand, I really loved BoA's last Japanese album but i'm not really looking forward to her new Japanese album. Key Of Heart is a great upbeat song but she seems to be going down the road of too many ballads for my liking. I won't make a final judgement til I have heard the whole album, but lets just say it's not high on my priority buying list hehe.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Fair enough then, if the recent Koda Kumi stuff has been to your liking. I didn't like the Best Second Sessions either (aside from a few tracks including "D.D.D."), but to each their own and all that jazz.

the only thing from "Best - second session" up until now that I didn't like was JUICY, Ningyo Hime and uhhhh... i think that's all

everything else was fine... and Koda Kumi is my brother's favorite favorite favorite jpop singer so... there's no way I can get away from her hahaha... I'm looking very forward to seeing her "Cherry Girl" drama that comes with the DVD in her upcoming album... I'm curious cuz you see her acting in all her PVs... I wonder what it's really like to see her really acting.

I was speaking idiomatically.

On a related note, I must say I've rather enjoyed the other Koda sister's music latey (that's misono by the way). I'm hoping there'll be an album soon as she's coming up on a fifth or sixth single I believe.

Cheeso 5th or 6th single?? The last song I heard from Misono was "Vs" and I loved that song. What style of music are her other singles?

Ok and does anybody know what is going on with Eri Nobuchika? She seems to have disappeared without a trace. I loved her debut and remix album.

I haven't posted Van Tomiko related stuff for a VERY LONG LONG TIME (to think that I am/was a big fan of her). So just to contribute to the thread, I'm posting her latest PV (maybe some of you have it already).

Van Tomiko - Yumeji

I haven't watched it myself. Like I mentioned earlier, my interest on Jpop have been slipping slowly. I'll probably download it tomorrow.

Tsk Van, I hope you release GOOD NEW material soon, eh.

Hmm, interesting, a lot of people do like the PV, and I have to say I quite like the Aruiteru PV also. The other good news on the Morning Musume front was that they spent the first week at number 1, which is great.

As for Tommy heavenly6, she's had a couple of new songs, there's the Hallowe'en track and she's got a Christmas single coming up too.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
