How about, no? How about dumping the thing and starting on some new material for a change? This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() |

Incidentally, I would like to see Cloud and Tifa kiss and make babies, but since when did Square actually give fans proper closure anyway? =/
I was speaking idiomatically. ![]() |
Final Fantasy IV. It was and still is the best ending I've seen for an RPG. Aside from Kain wandering around like the usual angsty loner (circa 1991 even), I felt that every other character got a proper amount of closure. It's also the only FF where it ends with a wedding.
I felt Kingdom Hearts II wrapped things up quite nicely, too, even though they're already showing teasers for part 3.
Basically, if they can keep the FFVII world interesting, I say let them make as many installments as they want. That's all I have to say on the matter. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]()

God damn it, fanboys. THIS IS WHY WE CAN NEVER HAVE NICE THINGS.
FELIPE NO |
(So says the person with a Cloud avatar and AC-inspired sig...LOL) What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
That gif IS a nice thing, inexplicable Jenova-squid and all.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I love that GIF. I think I'll keep it a while.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Fuck all of this, I want my Final Fantasy VIII: Advent Adults movie dammit

Frankly im sick of the name. I've been hearing it for ca 10 years now and i think it's time to come up with something else. That's just my opinion. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? ![]() |
I've been wondering this ever since I saw the movie when it was leaked out on the net a day before Japan's release...
Spoiler:

well if I got with the official subtitle from the english DVD they just said:

Finally got the DVD the other day (suprisingly, the guy at the Wally World wasnt a complete idiot while we had a conversation over E3 and such and comparing the shitty initial fansubs).
I havent seen the film in some six months (decided to put it away after watching it hundreds of times until the R1 DVD came out), though the people around here who I've shown it to (mostly gamers or people familiar with FF in some way) fully appreciated it. Though I was depressed that I have to track down Last Order, hopefully I can rig up a DVD .iso with some subs. FELIPE NO |
So my copy of the Reunion Files arrived today:
![]() A worthy companion to the film, if a little late, that covers everything from the character designs and VOs to an extensive detailed timeline of the production of the film from when the idea first came about to the first ever test done screened to around 4-5 people, production sketches, the soundtrack and then onwards culminating in the premiere and Venice screening. From there you get a "Story Digest" with stills and descriptions of each scene complete with notes from Nomura and Co along with a section on the "Compilation of Final Fantasy VII" and finally the Play Arts figures and merchendise. The book is also in both Japanese AND English making it very import friendly and an ideal book for FFVII and AC fans. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]() |
I've had a few scans from the book for over a week now. I've been meaning to post them in my journal, but yes, every single line of text is accompanied with an english translation.
Interestingly enough, the translated lines are from the english version of the movie (ie "I feel lighter"). Again, I request the thread be changed to "FFVII Compilation". Helps keep all the spin-offs under one thread. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Thread title changed.
Since news about everything related to FFVII seems to be posted here in addition to discussion regarding the North American release, the title makes things easier. ![]() There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |
Plus it'll keep the haters from bitching about the forum having 5+ FFVII threads. Nice work.
Here are the scans I mentioned, taken from ac.net. Cloud and Tifa specific information. http://rapidshare.de/files/22577221/...Files.rar.html It's a good read. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Thanks for the scans, SOLDIER
![]() Heh, the Giant Kitchen Knife. I like the image to the far right in the scan about Cloud's face design. 'Cause he looks like Kadaj and co. And yay drawings, my fave stuff. How ya doing, buddy? |
Sweet thanks for the info about the Reunion Files Simo, definitely gonna import that now.
Also, some info about Crisis Core in this FF13 interview.
Source: http://www.gamebrink.com/news/466-Fi...Interview.html Oh, and this is rather off topic, but the FF8 figs came in on Wednesday. Picked up a set at my local comic shop yesterday. ![]() ![]() Disappointed that they didn't include Rinoa's weapon, or her dog even. I was hoping to get her to do some battle poses with the others too. Heh, I also noticed that she has a black ribbon on her left arm. I'm guessing that's where Nomura got his idea/inspiration for FF7AC (just reusing old designs, I guess). Anyway, I'll post more pics of em if they're requested. Most amazing jew boots |
![]() According to the Reunion Files the whole ribbon idea was an after thought considering they didn't realise until late into production that none of the characters actually talked about or mentioned Aeris at all in AC so they gave the characters the pink ribbons to show they cared and remembered Aeris even if they don't say it. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]() |
I hope they are planning to release Zell, Quistis, and Irvine with that set. I mean, why not have the full giant cast of six full characters for a line.
FELIPE NO ![]() - What we all do best - |
I'm still hoping for AC figures of Kadaj, Yuffie, and so on. Looks like we only get 3 or 4 of the most popular characters.
![]() I always thought the woman in the "3 men and one woman" tagline was Tifa, but it could end up being Aerith instead. I thought Tifa would be a more natural (and interesting) fit, since we could finally see how she managed to adapt in life in Midgar, as well as how she met Barret. Rinoa doesn't come with any weapons at all? Ridiculous.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]() |
Anyway, here are the pics as you requested Simo! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() EDIT: Oh and it looks like the guy who did the custom swords for Cloud (along with face resculpts for the FF7AC line) also did face resculpts for the FF8 line. Man, they look so much better than the factory job, especially Rinoa's resculpt. ![]() ![]() ![]() Source: http://blog.livedoor.jp/lead007/ Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Goddamn, that Selphie is a thousand times better than the original sculpt. I'm pretty disappointed that they couldn't replicate her cute facial features. I'm still going to get that Squall though.
