Yeah, he's really annoying, since there's just about no way getting around his Megidola spamming ass (aside from surviving it, that is). And that means... leveling up, getting equipment and in the actual fight, setting most to Heal/Support.

Luckily, as I mentioned way back when, the next few after him are a breeze.

I dunno, those stupid sword guys on floor 180 gave me some trouble. I had to fuse a Chernobog with healing spells and just let my party members slowly drain the enemies' health. It's irritating how difficult it is to get around bosses who spam powerful physical or Megido spells.

Oh blah, just hit the 135th Floor...

oh moi gawd:
That table boss is pissing me off. Any tips?
Spoiler:
135 is absolutely ridiculous. The tower boss I fought before the Sleeping Table, my main was at 37, the rest, a few levels lower, around 33 to 35. To beat this boss, I bought everyone fire evasion equipment and and brought along the persona Kikuri Hime. Kikuri Hime is strong to fire, has a high magic rating and mediarama. Kikuri Hime is a level 47 persona user. THAT IS A TEN LEVEL JUMP OVER THE COURSE OF 13 FLOORS. And it wasn't a breeze to level to that point. I'd say, that even constantly hitting wand cards, that my average fight took in no more than 250 against the enemies of that floor. The average level was around 7000 exp. or so. It took forever. Oh, and also, level Yukari up to 43, she will also have Mediarama by that point.

Spoiler:
Oh, dammit! That means 4 more levels to go for the main guy! A good majority of my team is still below 40 though... I think Shinji is the only one at 40 right now. Otherwise, it's gonna take some time for everyone else to reach the 40s. >.<

This is gonna be fun.

On floor 36 now. That guardian is a real pain with his magic, doesn't seem to have any weakness either. Is there any Personas that could be beneficial? I'm level 14.

One of my fused persona has an item inside, does the item come out on a certain level?

Also to those who have beat the game, is it possible to beat the game without making it to the top of the tower? Is the ending different?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

What was the boss on floor 36? I can't remember that far back.

As for persona items, they come out when it learns its final skill. So basically it's a reward for maxing out the persona.

Anyone else exploit that you can register a persona with an item very close to the level they acquire their final skill, dump them once they cough up the item, and buy them back as many times as you like? I'd be doing that tons if I actually fused more than two that carried something in a 70 hour play time so far, heh.

Yeah, Dr. Uzuki. I always make sure to head back and register them in the compendium a few points before they get their final skill, then I just get as many of the item I want.

Copied from one of the FAQs on GameFAQs... The attack names might be consistent with the Japanese version, but ignore that.:
Name: Modified Sculpture
Floor #: 36
HP: 850
SP: 500
Block: Wind, Light, Darkness
Skill: Garula, Maha Garula, Dekunda, Rakukaja, Poison Mist, Dia

Equip Persona like Gurr or Fortuna. Other than that, you need skills like
Rakunda for its Rakukaja and Tarunda to reduce damage from its wind magic.
Akihiko has Tarunda and as for Rakunda, Pixie or Chimera has it. Since it has
no weakness, you will depend on Critical to inflict Down on it then you can
Total Attack. Lastly, make sure you prepare Dis Poison as well.

My two cents::
Get the two Jacks(Frost and Pyro). Together they have this ability called Jack Brothers, which, at a medium rate, can knock down an enemy. If you're willing to risk the SP and the chance of it missing, go for it.

It's confirmed。 Anyone want to donate me 600 dollars? This, plus Disgaea 3, justify the purchase of a PS3 for me。 Although I still want to wait until one's easily moddable, so I don't have to mess around with PS1 and PS2 regiosn。

That's depressing news. As limited as Atlus releases tend to be, the new Persona game will likely be impossible to find by the time I get around to buying a PS3. I was hoping they would put the next SMT game out for 360 instead, since I intend to buy one of those in the near future. I haven't kept track of which system is selling better in Japan though, so this is probably a good move over there.

A new Persona could end up being extremely good or extremely depressing news for me. At the risk of INNOVATION INNOVATION being screamed in my face, the next Persona would have to be very close in graphic style, music style and execution to Persona 3 for me to be really excited about it. If they could basically take Persona 3 and deepen the simulation aspect and have the choices have more of an impact on the main story and clean up the random dungeon aspect, I would consider it the perfect announcement.

But I guess I'll have to wait and see what they announce for it.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Japanese sales are always gonna be like this, in order of most sold:

Wii - constantly selling and NO ONE FUCKING KNOWS WHY
PS3 - selling reasonably and NO ONE FUCKING KNOWS WHY
360 - lol American games in Japan

Considering the PS3 is fucking $1000 NZD, or, $700 USD where I live, I won't be buying one this year.. perhaps next year, when the price drops (and it will).

Regarding Floor 135's boss and my frustrations (spoiler tags just to be safe):

Spoiler:
I tried the boss a couple of times and after he killed me twice in the first few turns of the battle. After reading what others said in this thread about this boss, I just wasn't in the mood to grind the levels out for that thing. I already do enough grinding in WoW (esp lvl grinding), having to do it in another game is too much, so I used Code Breaker to give myself inf hp for that battle. Whoever thought up Floor 135's boss can suck it. Ironically for a boss of that difficulty none of my party members leveled up after beating it.

Ooh, Kaelin, can you give me the Inf HP Code for that? I'm REALLY getting pissed off with this battle also... I'll grind AFTER the battle, but I'm seriously not up for grinding.

And just for kicks, for anyone who did beat the 135 boss without cheating, what level did you kill this thing at, and what were the average levels of the rest of your party?

floor 135:
Well, I've already shared how I did it earlier. But the big key to this fight has to be mediarama. You could bring an only Yukari at level 43 with you but the cpu can be a nitwit at healing sometimes, so to make it less frustrating, you're going to need it too. You'll want that healing spell, and fire resistance at least. Hama protection would be nice too, but not necessary if you've been lucky enough to find enough homonculus items (during my fight with the table, one of my members got hama'd only once, my main, no times at all).

The lowest level persona I found that fits the bill was Kikuri Hime. Maybe there was one at a lower level that gained it as their last skill at a lower level and I never discovered it. Maybe (most likely) a particular persona produces a fire null/drain equipment. That'd make things easier, but again, without mediarama, would require the table not to use the almighty spell twice in a row, which he will, and with just media and diarama to fall back on, you will most likely end up with two surviving party members after a double burst of it.

Maybe the damned thing is susceptible to panic, but I doubt it. Or other ailments, but that'd be the one that would really help.

The only party that makes sense is Yukari for her healing and higher magic rating, Junpei for his fire resistance, and Ken for his light resistance. Any buffs/debuffs they might have aren't that useful for this fight if I remember correctly, so that means all would be on the main's shoulders but healing is definitely more important. It throws another requirement into the mix of healing/fire resistant/light resistant/high magic rating, and that's already hard enough to come across as it is.

The only other tactic I can think of is to exhaust your supply of bead chains and somas in place of mediarama, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Haha floor 135.

Spoiler:

I beat that damn table my 3rd try. I wouldn't have been able to do it at my level without all those magic reflection mirrors. And when I ran out I got lucky since it kept missing with its hama skill. I can only see the game becoming much more retarded from here on when it comes to boss fights. ._.

Actually Miles, he's only one of three asshole bosses in Tartarus. It was mainly his goddamn Megido spamming that's the issue, and possibly a Hama skill here or there. One of the other ones just spams Megidolaon the entire fight, while the other has some decent defenses (absorbs and nulls some stuff). He likes his status effects, too.

Spoiler:
The ones I'm talking about are the World Balance and the Jotun of Grief up in the Adamah block.

I'm very close to the end of the game and I only have enough time to max out 2 more S.Links, 3 if I'm lucky. *sigh* It sucks how you have to start them over on a New Game+. Even if you do have the key item for the ultimate persona, you still won't get any bonus levels for fusing it. ._.

Spoiler:
It's January 11th, Empress (Mitsuru): Rank 6, Priestess (Fuuka): Rank 4, Hiero (Old Couple): Rank 9. I'm know I'll max out Hiero, Fuuka is pretty much a lost cause, its Mitsuru I'm worried about. Why'd they have to make us wait so late in the game before you can start dating her? Well, at least I've got the best Personas, max yen and completed all of Elizabeth's request. All I have to do now is wait until January 31st, I'm going to make every Persona I can then start a new game.

At least P3 offers an explanation why the dungeon floors are different every night
And honestly, the single bad thing in the game for me is that you're under constant time pressure T_T
Why do games nowadays have to be built that it's impossible to get a complete playthrough without using FAQs? I miss the good old times
But I wouldn't have anything against another P3-style game too, just because this game with it's high-school-life simulator is soo highly addicting and entertaining. But as long as the story is good I'd play anything out of the SMT-cosmos.

You can complete Persona 3 well enough without using walkthroughs or guides, and it's definitely much more enjoyable that way. Yes, you probably won't be able to get everything the first time you play (i.e. complete all the social links), but if you want to do that, New Game+ is there. ALSO, OCD completionism in games is dumb anyway. Big ups to Square for the Zodiac Spear.

Edit: also, I can't really imagine the game without a day limit. Managing your time and choosing who you want to spend time with, or if you would rather study or go to Tartarus, that's an integral part of it. With unlimited time, it would be a different game.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
