Er, as in the movie that was just released? I think you might be referring to the first movie from way back in June. I don't have subs of any kind for the first movie, so eh.

There might be a hardsub of the movie somewhere out there. I haven't seen any softsubs at all.

Does anyone have the Opening and Ending singles? I couldn't find them on box. Have they been released anywhere?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

They've been out for a while now. Not a bad start though I hope the opening changes.

Coming from someone who has not read the manga, wow. This series is way exciting. I'd even venture to say that this is the best suspense type of series I've ever seen. The various twists
Spoiler:
I AM L
and mental battles between L and Light are great. I think the OP is kind of heavy handed and forceful with that apple theme... but otherwise, great stuff.

couldn't help but laugh when L revealed himself ad go light all shook up
Didn't reveal his fear till he got home ^_^
I seriously need to read the manga but I never find the time. Even if I don't I hope the series sticks with the manga all the way.

I've also noticed the death note movie is out on torrents. If I see that will it spoil the story from the series?

The Death Note Movie is slightly different and won't spoil you the anime, if you saw the anime episode 9.

Also, I really hope it does not stick to the manga, I hope the anime accepts the "Death Note: Last Name"'s version as the true ending.

I don't know. Considering the anime is sticking pretty closely to the manga, I'd rather it stay that way. For it to branch off and follow the ending provided in the second movie would, honestly, be disappointing and boring.

Manga
Spoiler:
I liked that Light remained in power for so long in the manga. I even liked the somewhat of a sudden ending the manga had. I do, however, think it would be pretty cool to have the anime end after L dies, but I wouldn't mind seeing Mello and Near.

What was the best part of the 9 episodes released till today?
Spoiler:
For me it was the moment that Light finally got the name of FBI agent girl and looked on his watch. Then she asked him why is he doing it. So hi just said "I'm Kira". Man that was something =D

To be honest,b-4.

Spoiler:
I enjoyed the movie version more than the original scene where Naomi just left off and commit suicide without anyone knowing. It looks more dramatic and fucked up when he told Ryuuku that he had it planned the whole time.

The biggest moments for the anime , to me, will be:

Spoiler:
when Raito and L get together and start on the whole 2nd Kira case along with the Yotsuba Kira thing. That is set to be the best part of the manga. But that's just me.

so the movie won't spoil anything from the series as long as I watch up to episode 9 o-0

best parts for me are
Spoiler:

I still find it funny how L was looking at Kira when he revealed himself. Best part so far ^_^
I also like the scene in the bus, Light proved there that he can manipulate anyone.

Not even a shitty quality released..

Speaking of the movie. There's also a DN Live Action spinoff announced a few days ago. No further info on that.

Episode 11

Spoiler:
Simply amazing. The animation toned down a bit. What's more badass is to see Souchiro risk his life to get the tapes from Demegawa. Everything else is directly from the manga. Same goes for Misa at the end of this episode.

The chick who played Haruhi Suzumiya did a great job taking the role as Misa. So no worries here.

Now that I'm sorta putting things together between the number of episodes and the manga, the first 37 episodes will most likely be just the first arc (11 episodes in total cover up the first 25 chapters.) bewteen L and Yagami. Each episode takes about one and a half chapters or 2 in total. So basically it can't be only 37. Impressive though. They aren't trying to mess this anime up at all. Nice job.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Suzumiya Haruhi's voice actor really did an amazing job...I'd go as far as to say, she was the best choice they could've gotten. I really hope they don't remove the cellphone scene, I've been looking forward to it since the anime started.

The news was announced somewhere in ANN. I think it's a movie or something. Didn't say anything about a "j-dorama" ;p.

Isn't the live action the movie? You already posted the link for the movie up there somewhere.

Also, am I the only one who LOL'd in episode 8 on how the made it so dramatic when Light opened the bag of chips or how he dramatically ate them?
