Blimey, there's a lot more in that list that look like I might get them than I expected. Surprisingly few multiplayer ones this time out, looks like they're expecting Firefight to be the popular option in this game. I'm guessing already most people will get the triple-kill from a jetpack one playing all-rockets Gruntocalypse.

I'm betting Skills will have them all within four days.

Assuming things go well in certification, that means the only things standing between you all and Reach are the manufacturing process and shipping the discs to stores. The casual audience that makes up the vast, vast majority of the Halo-buying audience probably could barely tell you who makes the Halo games, if that. It's like the CoD/Infinity Ward thing; average Joe doesn't give a fuck who is making the games unless they're noticeably worse or different. The fact that Black Ops pre-orders are already past where MW2 pre-orders were at the same point in time is a pretty big indication of that.

From a fan perspective though, yeah it'll be different, but they actually have a lot of super talented people at 343 Studios, and Microsoft knows that this is their biggest seller. So you would guess that they'll go balls out on it, it'll just be interesting to see how it turns out. Even if it's up to par with the quality of past Halo games, it will still "feel" different no matter what.

Game will be playable but it's those little details that might not be there. Or the new developers try TOO hard and put in too much bungie-esque stuff. Now, I dont really know what those would be but the risk is there when the directors change.
More then anything I want the story to be good (Cortana going crazy is given but I dont want that cliché fight against her and then in the end they hug and kiss again). Guess time will tell =)

That sounds pretty awesome I am not going to lie! I would love to pick up Halo Reach. I have to get a Halo game. I currently don't own any. I want to because I have a relatively new 360 and very few games for it. I loved playing Halo back in the day and would really like to check out the newer games.

Ah, I just woke up and wasn't awake yet. I thought the frigate was just on the screen and it was just showing you it's status or something, completely missed that it was (apparently) indicating you were controlling it.

Also I don't think I posted this yet, but the game has gone officially gold. Also this weeks BWU has some details on the 3 new maps (that I already posted), as well as screens of the complete Elite armory, all found here.

I haven't been super proactive on updating this thread since I've had a pretty rough couple of weeks, as well as I'm kinda on hold until the game is closer to release. PAX is about a week and a half before release IIRC, and I figure I'll hold off until doing any huge updates until then to trying to capture everything at once and do a massive overhaul on the OP then. I'm pretty sure we should be getting map/playlist details before launch as well, etc.
