How ya doing, buddy? |
The only thing that Korea is ahead of is kimchi.
As much as I am sick of hearing about Jappos, they make the best electronics. Well, except for PS2. Also, Plasma is a dying technology. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

They may still be the standard but I highly doubt it'll remain that way as a model or two are discontinued every month or so at work only to see that there's no new successor to keep the selection of CRTs from shrinking. Jam it back in, in the dark. |

I am sorry, have you even bother to check the link I gave out? Prob not.
Let me translate it in 1 sentense. You are able to download 2 and half hour movie in to your cellphone under 10 second and able to send the file to another person's cellphone if they are under 10m. And you are SOOO wrong about Kimchi. Most Kimchi factory is located in China. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Awesome.
I mean, who the hell wouldn't use their cell phone to watch a 3 hour long movie. How ya doing, buddy? |

Awsome, tell that to other 20million who uses that.
@ Technophile And what I was pointing out was that Samsung and LG is better at making TV then most of shitty Japanese companies. I was speaking idiomatically. |
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
And I'm surprised that Megalith is sticking up for a nationality he adamantly despises. But I guess in this case it's not so much the people as is it the goods. But honestly, so far the most notorious case I've heard of Sony's (lack of) workmanship is of Sony's PS1. I have not owned the PS1 (the big blocky one from '95) but have read over and over again of the lamentations of gamers over the laser, and my friend went through quite a few, four of them, I think. I don't really have any complaints with the PS2. And it being "outdated" doesn't count if you're going to start pointing faults. All consoles will be outdated sooner or later. I won't be surprised how in 2013 sometime when the PS4 is announced, everyone's going to start pointing at all the faults the PS3 had and begs Sony to lend an ear. Megalith might argue along with the PS2 otherwise. FELIPE NO - What we all do best -

Those dismissing CRTs completely clearly have not actually sat in front of a calibrated Sony Wega KD-34XS955N HDTV set. http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTE...e_34%22to36%22 While the blasted thing may weigh more than the one lifting it, it's high praise by videophiles swear it to be reference material with proper calibration. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
I thought CRTs had better black levels and contrast than plasmas and LCDs?
And SED is the wave of the future. Screw these CRT, Plasma, and LCD sets. Brightness and contrast of CRTs, less power consumption than Plasmas, as thin as Plasma/LCD, bigger screens, ~1ms response time, oh and.. a 100,000:1 contrast ratio. Due out around ~07. D: Imagine one of these hooked up to a PS3~ Jam it back in, in the dark. |

Taegueki is a nice guy, but he has strong nationalism. His name means Korean Flag
Whether or not that's a good thing, meh, your choice. Anyway, as for the PS3. As much as I would love to buy one eventually, all this talk of extra work hours to afford one, and how you'll basically need an HDTV for it to be worthwhile is disheartening. /me cries being the poor 14 year old I am. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
LCD, DLP and Plasmas are gimmicks.
SED and OLED is the practical evolution of CRT technology, and it's the way to go. I like how Canon is one of the technology's forerunners. ::REALITYp:: This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
I gotta say, these SED TV's do look sexy. This one's from TOSHIBA. Due around 2007? Yeah, about the same time I'll get my PS3. Thank god I have a nice paying job.
Shit, I better start saving up now. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? - What we all do best - |

I'd wait until at least the third gen of SEDs, since they're bound to have issues that didn't come up during testing. The same would apply to the PS3, though swap out generation for revision.

Yeah.
I mean, who the hell actually paid $300 for PS2, right. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
The launch price is meant for early adopters who will buy the machine at any price, while lower prices points (like $200 for the PS2) are for the mass market, where most of the sales comes from. There's nowhere I can't reach. The text is part of the image and the two squires aren't exactly even. |
