And sure, more Sonic Youth comin' up in the next week and a half. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
#092387 |
Made another large-ish upload, this time mostly for the benefit of a certain Capo, although I think everybody should have the opportunity to enjoy the Progressive Rock awesome that is King Crimson.
How ya doing, buddy? |
I believe I upped In The Court Of The Crimson King a while ago, but the link would be dead by now anyway.
Robert Fripp is god. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
#092387 |
Robert Fripp is a masterful guitarist, and more people need to be exposed to his genius. He is basically King Crimson.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
So . . . why not either Happy with What You Have to Be Happy With or Power to Believe? Or Thrak, for chrissakes.
There's nowhere I can't reach. It was lunchtime at Wagstaff.
Touching butts had been banned by the evil Headmaster Frond. Suddenly, Tina Belcher appeared in the doorway. She knew what she had to do. She touched Jimmy Jr's butt and changed the world. |

Because I don't have any of these albums ;______;
I've basically given you guys all that I've got. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
I'm not really big on uploading VGM, but I really enjoy Secret of Mana + and I don't think it always gets the attention it deserves.
On another note, to anyone who listened to the album Downtown - Downtown that was uploaded many months ago, does anyone have something similar to that? I'd really like to hear it. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Well, I finally got around to upping more Sonic Youth and King Crimson. Enjoy.
I was speaking idiomatically. |

Oh. My. GOD. knkwzrd, that's an absolutely incredible post. The only thing in that post that I actually have is Starless and Bible Black, but the rest of it is entirely new, and all of it material that I'd been wishing I could check out.
DAMN do you rule. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
So yeah, I finally upped some stuff. Some choral music by american composers (one of which is heavy metal in classical form), all of which I've performed in, and all of which are just fucking great; and my post of what was the best new album that I heard in 2006.
So yeah. GET IT. FELIPE NO It was lunchtime at Wagstaff.

Thanks for that soundtrack, Ence. I remember the first film where the music really hit me was Cronenberg's Naked Lunch, which is a collaborative effort between Howard Shore and Ornette Coleman. I've been looking for a copy of that one for a while now without success.
Spoiler:
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Yeah, so I don't check these threads enough at all .
Getting a few things...Synchestra (and not just because the album cover is my background at the moment) and Portishead, because I love "All Mine" and would like to hear the rest. If you wouldn't mind re-upping SNZ's Hot, Ence, I would appreciate it . I think I'm going to upload something soon-ish...if anyone is familiar with Juan Garcia Esquivel (usually just 'Esquivel'), I'm going to put some of his stuff up here. I'm kind of busy until next week (which will be busy as well), but I'll get around to it. Jam it back in, in the dark. |

Apparently wvlfpvp made a Last.fm group for the GFF Music Exposure Club! <3
However, guess what? Half of you fuckers aren't on it and it's a situation that we must address immediately. Be there or be square~ I was speaking idiomatically. |
Uploaded my first album to MEC, but hopefully not my last! The sound of the album is anything new, but I reckon it's catchy and not a bad listen.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Fuck yes, knk! Thanks for that soundtrack. <3

Hey MetheGelfing, I'd love to hear that record you posted, but savefile.com is giving me some real shit - we're talking <1kbps download speeds. Any chance of getting it upped at a different filehost?
How ya doing, buddy? |
If he doesn't get around to it, I can upload it for you somewhere else too, I'm getting great speeds off that hosting service. Well... At least by free hosting speed standards. (48-65 kbps)

Well, as long as someone does. That review had peaked my interest.
As a sidenote, last month Megaupload was giving me 400-600 kbps every time I used it, but now they're back to the 30-50 average. Weird stuff. Additional Spam: All right, never mind. After a handful of tries over a few days it finally gave in and let me download the thing. Good stuff. There's nowhere I can't reach.

Here's a little something for the stoners out there. Or anyone, really. Just crazy good stuff. Especially "Tokyo". =D

Amara, I recently found a copy of Air's Pocket Symphony which comes out this March. Interested?
Additional Spam: You beat me to it, Ence. I advise everyone download Congotronics as quickly as possible. What a record. Also, if you like that, be on the look out for the compilation "Congotronics 2" which features a bunch of obscure artists in the same vein as Konono No. 1. It's rumored that Konono No. 1 have something like 50 self-released albums in Africa that are all but impossible to find. I was speaking idiomatically.

Capo, my white brother, you hit the nail on the head with that Sound Tribe Section 9 joint. That album is fucking amazing.
