Odin Sphere, while an absolute blast, is hardly flawless from either a technical or gameplay standpoint. Sonic is....well, hell, if you agree with them, who am I to argue?

I guess it is easier to trust a review source if you agree with them most of the time though. I can't say I agree with HCG or Play any more often than I agree with EGM, IGN, or anything else, so my case is different from yours.

I don't always agree with Edge magazine on their opinion, but they have a knack for looking at games objectively where it counts.

Much like I personally love Tenchu Kurenai, but am the first to admit it could hardly be called a great game in any possible way (cept maybe atmosphere).

And giving as repetitive and flawed (though pretty) a game as Odin Sphere a perfect 10 hardly looks good on the magazine. I'm only too glad I don't follow it, then.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Oh shi~ that's very cool. It'd be even cooler if those boxes weren't present though.

Have you played Charged and therefore able to make a comparison yourself, or are you basing it's quality on how many sales the previous game had like you did in the Fire Emblem thread?

Reviews are just opinions. For God's sake, why do you CARE what numbers it gets?

On an unrelated note, Blue Dragon's numbers are spot on though if the demo is any indication.
Because it was pertaining to the discussion about the PS3, given Lair is one of a few unproven IPs people had high hopes for?

You're seriously starting to piss me off, either back the fuck off or crawl back in the hole you came out of. If all you want to do is fight, there are better places to to get your fix. 4chan is down the door to the right.

You trolling me, boy? I ain't fighting with you. I'm just pointing out how good a job you're doing at shoving that foot into your mouth. I wouldn't be calling your shit if you just stopped spewing it, y'know. If you need help with that though, I'm sure we can resurrect the old Forum Guide program and someone will write you up a lesson plan in no time.

How ya doing, buddy?

Hey BB, that looks rather nice. Mind if you drop the original on us? While I'm not on my computer at the moment, it'd be a nice addition to the Okami folder I've got.

Has anyone played GripShift 2.0? After reading the premise of the game I'm really interested in it, but I didn't know if anyone else felt justified spending $10 on it.

Also, can't decide whether to get Symphony of the Night on PSN or wait until 360 gets a price drop and get it on XBL. I mean, I have the disc already, it's just...so good. (Plus my disc has scratches)

The more I play Heavenly Sword demo, the more I look forward to that game. Honestly when I played through God of War, I never got this excited about where I was going or why I should care about Kratos and his grumpy face.

Just a heads up, the Bladestorm demo is on the Japanese PSN. No idea what the game is about, or even a genre, but hey it's a new demo! Downloading now!

The game is made by Koei. So unless it's another Gitaroo-Man game, anything else by them is garbage.

Brandish and RotK are quality, so you can't bash the shit out of them entirely. Dynasty Warriors is a total love it or hate it kinda deal too.

They lose a hell of a lot of respect for junk like Winback though, so I'll give you that.

Gundam Musou and Dynasty Warriors 6 might change a few things. If only because *GASP*, brand new gameplay elements are being introduced (and the idea of mowing down Gundam's with an actual dash is fucking awesome). The only thing I would personally fault them on is the fact that they are so consistently mediocre. Kind of sad, actually.

Not really, if the demo is any indication, DW:G is just Dynasty Warriors with robots. a dash doesn't change much. What little new stuff there is will not convert any non-fans. Not by a mile and a half.

Damn you Atlus, why did you make Rule of Rose? It sucks.

Oh, wait, they didn't. And Koei didn't make Gitaroo Man, nor half the games they've released in Europe. They're a developer/publisher hybrid, like Atlus USA. I can't recall anything that they've developed apart from Dynasty Warriors (which I quite like, although it's repetitive as all hell) but, hey, at least they're keeping the hack 'n slash genre alive.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

But what if you're not about asian dudes with pointy bloody sticks killin' armies and just want to beat up some dudes in tha street? Oh that's right I suppose you can go play God Hand, River City Ransom, and Turtles in Time. The beat-em-up genre is dead.
