Damn, Pixy doesn't mess around. He's already got 50 ground kills in my game.

Oh and I just wanna say for the record that:

Spoiler:
That level with the Belkan Nuclear Bomb going off, was INSANE. We all knew it was coming, but to be in that was surreal. It was very interesting when that light flashed and your communications and HUD was going berserk. But I would think that even though Cipher and Pixy were far away, the EM Pulse from the bomb would have made their jets go down. Not only that, but also the shockwave of the bomb. Either way...that was a mission where you really wanted to go into the game and kick the shit out of whoever made that messed up order.

Yeah, the EM interference was cool, but I was really hoping to see mushroom clouds actually rendered in-game in the distance. Kind of a let down for me.

Is that Mobius 1 fight actually true? I have yet to play it because of time issues.

The thought of Mobius 1 coming from no where and firing at my ass makes me piss my pants. I must see this.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Yes it's true (though I have yet to fight him myself). Mobius One's in the final mission of the game, which is unlocked only after shooting down all the aces. He only appears on Ace difficulty and only if you shoot down all the aces over the Round Table in a very timely manner. Which mean's he must be extremely good if he's the final ace after shooting down all other aces and on Ace difficulty. He's like the ace of aces!

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I just finished it for the first time, and I have to say I think it might be my favorite. It was short, but the missions were a lot more fun than most of the ones in 05. No escort missions, or silly radar mazes. Also I liked Pixy as a character, he was pretty cool.

Plan to get to that Mobius 1 secret. Sounds tough though.

ending:
Btw, PJ died right? Was that his grave at the end?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

HOLY SHIT! The Soldier paint scheme for the F-22A is Mobius One's exact scheme from AC04! Complete with Ribbon insignia and ISAF logo! This game fucking rules!

I've almost beaten it for the third time, that ADFX-02 is MINE!

One thing I don't quite get:
Spoiler:
So Pixie tries to nuke the whole goddamn world, and yet he gets off scott free at the end. WTF man? Hey "buddy", you should be in a prison for supervillains something!

Spoiler:
I think it can be assumed that his whereabouts since the ned of the war have been unknown (but yeah, if "the interviewer" could find him...). What's more is that other surviving members (ESPADA 2 and SORCERER 1) seemingly got off the hook free of any charges, while WIZARD 1 was sent of to jail. But still, as the interviews are made 10 years after the end of the war it isn't impossible that they were in fact in jail sometime during this 10 year period.

Like Rei no Otaku I am wondering

Spoiler:
What did happen to PJ? did he die when he got shot down by Pixy? If that's the case, that sucks. PJ was funny with his girl troubles and his squad teasing him about it, hehe

Oh and this is something else I noticed after beating the game again

Spoiler:
I think Pixy is fighting the Usean-Continental war (aka AC4), because he is for one fighting in Usea, and the building he's being interviewed in, has an ISAF flag on top of it. Isn't that a kick in the pants? That's one of the awesome things about this series, there's always something connecting each game with one another. Well if i'm right too, at least we know Pixy is on the good guys this time around, hehe.

Hi guys, i've tried to download the soundtrack, but it's a php page, I can't do a "save link as...", instead it takes me to another page that finally opens up the mp3 and plays it on quicktime. I'm using firefox, any other way I should download this?
(edit: whoops, this isn't the ace combat zero rip thread, my bad)

Btw I decided to join the forums after so long since it seems like you guys are the only true fans I've seen online of Ace Combat, the ones that visit the official forums are retards, and the ones in gamespot/gamefaqs must be children. But you guys seem to enjoy the same things that I do about the games.

I beat the game on thursday, and I gotta say it wasn't as good as Ace Combat 5, but damn the music and the final battle was amazing by itself, and made the whole game worth it. I got S rank on almost all the missions my first time through on hard, except for two missions that I got a C on, but I dunno. I thought it was weird how I got awarded with the X-05 on the second or third mission, I was thinking "wtf". But I couldn't buy it until the 12th mission or so.

Spoiler:

The final battle was so hard at first lol.. I had to re-try like 5 or 6 times (each battle at least 15 mins long) until I finally got it down. The music was so amazing, It's what I've been hoping for this whole time in an Ace Combat game, a final battle dogfight.

Btw, since Bandai and Namco joined forces now.. (hate the new logo), does that mean we'll be seeing a GOOD Macross game soon? if so, I hope they make Macross Plus with the ace combat team. That would be like the awesomest game, ever.

Thanks for the link . Damn, i'm already having Ace combat withdrawals... I shouldn't have let my friend borrow it @_@.

Well, no one knew if he even lived the battle, only the newsreporter that was after the truth found him, but even then the reporter didn't even know what the truth was, so i'm guessing few people really do know that pixie tried to blow up the whole continent. Besides, it's a surprise to everyone no? I think it was a great climax, if the main character had a personality instead of being silent, I think it would've been more obvious that the final battle was more about fighting your best friend, than just some wingman you use to fly with.

This only happens if you chose to load data from an AC5 save file. Otherwise you get it after (if I remember correctly) two playthroughs.

....................... there's an option to load AC5 data?........ I must have been so excited I kept clicking "yes" over and over till I got to the main menu.. huh..

edit: so umm... you can fight mobius? ... holy crap man, I need to get my game back.

Btw.. there was a video on the trailer of some guy called "bringer of death", I think it says I shot him down, but I never saw his video, he's that guy in the image that someone edited to say "wtf man". I never saw him, but then again I only went through one run of the game. Currently trying on expert, I haven't noticed much of a difference in difficulty, except for the fact that I die in one shot. Maybe it's the way that I fly n shoot. 9_9

edit: i keep editing my posts... btw, does anyone play like I do?... hold down the triangle button when you dogfight? maybe it's just me..

I usually don't tend to do that. It confuses the hell out of me. I rather use the right analog stick to look around occasionally. Most of the time I just follow the radar indicator arrows, though. Quite cheap, actually.

Depending on your ace style you face different aces in the missions where they appear. The one you mention is from the Schwarze squad. He appears if you're a merc during the second Round Table mission.

Why did I get the Falken along with the Morgan? I thought the Falken is only unlocked if you get all 3 supreme ace medals, but I only have 2 (Knight and Merc). Wierd...

The Morgan doesn't feel nealy as agile as Pixie's, and why doesn't the laser target 360* like Pixies did? Pretty weak if I do say so myself. I have yet to purchase the burst missiles though, so maybe those will make the Morgan worth using.

Yeah, I always use Triangle in third person. I've been doing it since AC3. Infact I've only recently started playing in first person (to practice for vs. mode. You should be able to play vs. in third person damn it!). Triangle in 1st person feels really wierd, but I'm trying to get used to it because it's easier to gun enemies down in 1st person for some reason, plus you can zoom in and get a better look at enemies by holding the button harder.

EDIT: Oh my God oh my God, Burst Missiles FTW!

I rarely use triangle because im typically in 1st person or cockpit view and pressing it completely disorients me, atleast when i hold it down for an extended period. Im really liking the game so far, 58 mins in and im on mission 8, will def. replay for all the planes though lol.

It might be a quick game, but I think what makes it long maybe is the missions that have multiple sub missions, so you can to play one...see what that's like, and then next time you play, you try out the other sub mission. So if you think about it...it's 18 missions plus the three missions that you get to choose from in certain missions.

I don't mind that it's short because it lacks the crappy filler missions that 05 had. Like did we really need the Handful of Hope mission? I enjoyed every mission in AC0, even the last two (I don't get why people hate them so much, they're not even that hard).

Btw, I only use triangle to switch targets. Holding it down gets me all disoriented. I also play in cockpit or first person.

I think the thing with AC 5 is they did EVERY mission you could really think of...even terrorist missions, which yea..are kinda boring, but fun the first time around lol.

And for the record...getting the supreme soldier medal is gonna be a pain, but i'm sure i'll get it lol.

I personally think the last two missions are a bit too easy. I just flew my SU-37 in with FAEBs and double-tapped on every target, bye bye Avalon facility =\. The overall game is awesome, but I was hoping for a bit more explosion in the last 2 missions (especially when you fly out of the underground control center, it'd be quite rewarding to see a big ball of flame bursting out of the opening)

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

I fly under the code of knighthood. It's only natural since we are the descendants of the Belkan knights. We protect the meek and give our lives for honour, but that does not mean we are generous...since generosity would cost us our lives. If the pilot survived at the end of the war, he must've carried out these rules.

Hmm...i'll have to try that. Using bombs and what not instead of missiles. I must admit, Avalon was a pain because between getting all the gun towers, the aces and the targets in the dam, it left very little time for me to take it it with patience.
