Eskimo's Commercial album has some interesting ditties. It's very spooky though, maybe I'll use this CD to blast outside during Halloween. Would be fairly fitting, I think. The other Eskimo cd, with the long tracks, was a unique listening experience to say the least. The sounds of a girl panting and crying is pretty fearful.
J. Ralph's got some quality stuff! "One Million Miles Away" reminded me of some of Boards of Canada's new Campfire Headphase album. Diverse album, a good one for a little more easier listening than Eskimo ^_^. Adaro is pretty out there. I need some more time to listen to it. Posted Tarwater's Silur. A dark electronica experimental abstract cd of which I am very fond of (one of my favorites) Great night music! What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? In your dreams, magical thoughts All things are real, unless you dream they're not

I would be very grateful if some of the noise music that has been upped on here in the past could be re-upped? As I remember, there was something that was basically recordings of people having sex...I believe Schadenfreude put them on here, but he hasn't been around lately.
I'm doing my research paper on noise music, so it's kind of necessary. FELIPE NO |
I really hope everyone gives the Destroyer music a listen; I really, really enjoy his works and think more people need to be exposed to him. Even if it's just one album (even though all five are excellent).
Most amazing jew boots |
I believe that first Peter Gabriel record that Devo posted is actually self titled, not Melt.
Also, loving that hip-hop compilation you posted, Ence. Jam it back in, in the dark.

There's nowhere I can't reach. |
The other CD should be up sometime in the next day or two. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
The first Si*Sé CD is up.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
So . . . anyone else think that, since we're nearing the end of the year, we might-could have folks who contribute upload a "best album of 2006" kinda thing? I already have mine in mind, and I've had it since February.
I was speaking idiomatically. It was lunchtime at Wagstaff.
Touching butts had been banned by the evil Headmaster Frond. Suddenly, Tina Belcher appeared in the doorway. She knew what she had to do. She touched Jimmy Jr's butt and changed the world. |

Effing right on, Mucknuggle! I've been wanting to listen to that album for a while. I heard some of "The Kidnapper Bell", and they had me at hello. I've got more Mono if you'd like to hear it, and I can upload it right away for you.
I think I'll also throw Portishead's self-titled album in here as well. FELIPE NO |
You know... I could have sworn I uploaded Portishead's self-titled joint before the crash and that's why I didn't do it already. Definitely a must have.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |

I would certainly agree, which is why I'll be uploading it in the very near future!
Man, do I love that woman's voice. And "Humming" is twelve shades of great. Jam it back in, in the dark. |

I have now uploaded Portishead (as promised), and I edited the post about two minutes ago to include a Boards of Canada EP that I bought. It's quite good, and I would strongly recommend giving both albums a listen.

Nevermind, Admara got to it already. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I grabbed Nas' Hip Hop is Dead, the full album, leaked a few weeks early. This shit is HOT. I'm currently uploading it for you.

Did... did you just shorten "Admiral Amara" into "Admara"? Because that actually kinda works, DN. I like it
I'll be upping more later, probably an album by Pelican or Sonic Youth. How ya doing, buddy? |
i come bearing things that are girly and cute (but i make no excuses).
hopefully in the future i won't be making anyone wonder if it's possible to need fillings in your ear canals. How ya doing, buddy? this space for rent.

Forget about the Nas upload. I'll put the high quality release in the MEC thread when I get it. A low quality rip is currently available in my journal.

Ohshi, Colin Hay!
Thanks for that Encephalon. Did you upload that after seeing him on Scrubs? That episode was just on Comedy Central. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Also, guys... I suggest you start paying attention to this new member Artax. He doesn't post at all so he confines all his music sharing to his journal but he's got some damn fine pieces in there. He asked me to post his latest share in the club for him here. Please make sure he feels right at home here. Jam it back in, in the dark. |

I know I've been delaying it after people like Moon and Yama have asked for it, but I've finally made my massive Sonic Youth post in the Club, so all of you crazy people enjoy what I've offered! If you're new to the band, I'd suggest going for Sister last and working in reverse order, or asking me to re-upload Daydream Nation, which I will gladly do (and link you to the original post).
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
In addition to all of the records that the good Admiral uploaded, if you're new to the band I'd also recommend checking out the band's 1992 record Dirty, which has been reissued in a great two disc package with lots of bonus material.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Sonic Youth is probably the most influential rock band of the late 80's and early 90's. They're pretty much responsible for the "grunge" genre; something which is sadly attributed to bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam. While I have nothing against Nirvana or Pearl Jam myself I can't help but think that they were criminally underrated.
I have all their albums up until Made In USA on CD and the rest I'm pretty sure I have in digital form, so if the good Admiral can't find time to upload them, let me know and I'll do so in his place.

Well, I've already uploaded all that I have, except for a live bootleg or two, so if you want to go ahead and upload more, be my guest. I'd love to hear more SY than I already have.
