And, yeah, turnovers killed us again.
3 interceptions will kill just about any team. I'm happy that Plummer finally got his head on straight.

At least I have Javon Walker on my fantasy team.
Smart man you are. 3 TD passes will certainly win some major points.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Add 70 rushing yards and over 100 receiving yards to that and you have yourself one successful day at the office.

I'd have to guess that it was a botched field goal attempt, but even that doesn't make a great deal of sense.
They put Reed in on offense after the guy with the long name got the penalty and Cincy turned the ball over on downs. We got to 4th and couldn't run the clock down all the way and McNair threw it way out of bounds. Made no sense, since they were in field goal range. Anyway, Cincy got the ball back and threw their last interception after that. I was nervous those last few minutes, because it wouldn't have taken much for a quick pick-off and an 80 yard run to the house...Crazier shit has happened.

Speaking of the guy with the long name (taken from AP):

"We're just a better team than they are. We didn't win the game and I'm sure they'll get a laugh over that," he said. "But deep down, we know we're better than Baltimore and they know it. We've got better players than they do."

What a pathetic sore loser.

So the Bears lose to go to 7-1. The Colts win to stay perfect. And Tom Brady threw four INTs against the Colts (who do have a good pass defense, just a horrid run defense).

The game was pretty good, and pretty close on paper - though those 4 INTs were where the Patriots did wrong.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

So, the Colts beat the Pats to improve to 8-0. I guess I was in the wrong, I took the Pats. One of only a couple losses picking with a point spread this week. I wasn't able to watch the game, can anyone give me a detailed scoop? I thank Ryuu for filling me in a little, but was that the main story of the game? Did Brady play bad, or was the Colts pass defense just that good? Were the Pats able to run the ball?

I also hear that Harrison was great for the Colts. I saw the highlights of one of his TD catches, that was impressive.

What do we all think of the Monday Night game?

Looking ahead to next week 10, we have a couple interesting match-ups:

San Diego @ Cincinnati
New Orleans @ Pittsburgh
Chicago @ NY Giants

And a rematch of a great game earlier in the year:

St. Louis @ Seattle

Discuss.

How ya doing, buddy?

Pats ran for near 150 yards with two touchdowns by Dillon.

Though the highlight was the Colts Defense (at least that's how some see it, ESPN.com titled the recap "Defense grabs 4 INTs to help Colts remain unbeaten"). 5 Turnovers (4 INTs and 1 Fumble) and holding Brady to zero TDs in New England. Though Brady still threw for 200+ yards.

Vinatieri did miss two field goals (37, 46) of his four attempts. Pats' kicker missed one of three attempts.

I don't what's more sad: The Raiders offense, the fact the Seahawks are dominating without their two star players or the fact that the football game is far more entertaining than wrestling tonight.

Everytime I look up, something bad is happening to the Raiders. Props to ESPN for still hyping this sorry match-up. And Kornheiser's tirade on how bad the Raiders are...That was pretty funny. Tell it like it is!

Thumbs up to Michael Irvin for putting the Ravens #3 overall (behind Colts and Pats), despite taking heat from his cohorts.

The Jets owned the Patriots. Made my day better.

Also this week seems to be about upsets and comebacks. The two teams I knew for sure that were going to win were Tennessee and Cinncinatti. lol I was wrong.

Tomorrow night Buccs at Panthers on Monday Night Football. Might have to switch up from watching Raw to see this.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

The Ravens Tennessee game was simply ridiculous. McNair was almost singlehandedly the cause of 16 points scored by the Titans, but at the same time he threw for 380 yards and 3 touchdowns. The story would likely have been completely different if Ray Lewis was starting.

Oh well, at least we avoided the upset with a field goal block.

That was one of those games where I'm thinking, "Okay, IF they don't score anymore...IF we score some TD's, we have a chance." Lucky for us, they couldn't even muster a field goal in the second half. And McNair to Mason for the TD in Tennessee had to be sweet for both of those guys.

Hopefully now that we're in control of the division, they'll let Boller take some of the shots and rest McNair for the playoffs.

The Tennessee QB is good though...They might be contenders next year. They sure didn't look like a 2-7 team. Of course, the Ravens defense didn't look like a 7-2 defense in the first half either.

Panthers finally played like the guys I've loved the past few years. It took them 3 quarters to get their shit together, but I'm stoked that they got the win that they needed.

To call last night's win a must-win for the Panthers would be a complete understatement. In the first half, they played with no ambition or sense of urgency. Tampa Bay had several chances to blow the game open but our defense kept us in the game. In the second half our offense finally came around. With that win, and the Saints and Falcons losing, we are just 1 game back in the division.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I'd just like to thank both the Ravens and Bengals for beating the Falcons and Saints today. Because of those outcomes, and the Panthers winning against the Rams, Carolina is tied atop their division with New Orleans now. It's been a somewhat disappointing year for us, but it seems we're finally getting things together now. Our defense was amazing with 7 sacks. Our offense wasn't all that good but we were able to make plays when we needed to.

Bring on the Redskins next week.

The Pittsburgh/Cleveland game was a close one. They showed the last few seconds of the game after the Cincy/New Orleans one (Brees throwing for over 400 yards in a losing effort - ridiculous).

And it appears Donovan McNabb is out for the season. Ouch.

Edit: Brees actually threw for 510 yards. Geez.

Cowboys, son!

I predict a Colts-Cowboys rematch in the Super Bowl. Cowboys win 9-6 in a FG shootout.

Agreed. Especially since Mike Vanderjagt can't kick field goals to save his life.

Anyways, Chad Johnson made another great showing - this time with the Bengals winning. After the 260 yards and 2 TDs in the lost against the Chargers, Johnson comes back with 190 yards and 3 TDs.

Last year they went 9-7, and this year they're 6-4. Those are hardly "renewed dynasty" numbers.
