About Luongo - Word is Detroit was prepared to offer him 8.2M as an RFA - that's 4 first-round draft picks as compensation for Florida.

Fire + Ice can you start getting the Sens back to old form again please? 2 games against Southeast Division teams and you blow big leads against both of them. Of course that FIRST southeast team you played last weekend...that one was acceptable

Seriously though I wanna watch the Sens win. I mean hell, the LEAFS are doing pretty well right now. This needs to be corrected.

Yea I don't know if I would pull the trigger on that deal. Detroit does typically pick low in the first round, but giving up 4 prospects for Luongo? That would hurt.

Of course I really like the Canucks so i'm quite glad he ended up where he did. Having him out of the southeast division helps too!

The Wings basically were the Yankees of hockey. With the salary cap teams can't really do that anymore, but I'd challenge you with finding another team more deserving of the title. And no, not the Rangers, because though they did spend some serious cash they still lost.

<RonzAtSchool> Deni I thought long and hard about your comment of how Alfredsson sucks in the NHL thread and I crafted the perfect response.

BWAHAHAHAHA.

I was almost in tears I was laughing so hard.

But that doesn't work, Boston fans hate him too.

I'm trying but nothing I'm doing seems to have any effect whatsoever! I wear the special hat, I wore my sens sweater, I even listenned to the game in class! What more can I do? I know that leafs are doing better, I'm sorely disappointed in the team...although I'm kinda consoled by the fact that Sundin is out for a month.

Why does everyone hate Alfie? I know why Toronto does, but what's your excuse? Surely there's nobody left who's ranting about his hair...

(we really need to get the gonk smilie, I'm tired of getting mine from photobucket) (:chara: too)

Jam it back in, in the dark.

His hair was the best part. He needs to grow it back; look at how badly he's playing without it.

I went to the Penguin game last night. I should have pictures from it tomorrow if anyone is interested. We got great seats.

To bad Leclavier had to ruin the game for us. Another OTL in the books.

Well Alfie always does badly without his hair and if it's a major cut, his team suffers. Back when he had the really long hair, he cut it, and we were eliminated from the playoff run. He let it grow out a little, cut it again during the olympics, Sweden was eliminated there too. It's uncanny.

I posted this in the video request forum already, but I figured some of you might like it. It's every game from ever team this year, but the games do take a few days to upload. You can watch any games, including a few classic games. Also, you can go anywhere in the video and it takes 2 seconds to load. Basically, there's no buffer time, so, if you missed a sweet goal, head over to NHL.com to find out when it happened and skip to that park of the video.

http://video.google.com/nhl.html

Cheers.

I'll admit the Red Wings were most deserving of the title, just because they were the only team throwing around tons of money who managed to stay consistently good. But, it's hard to actually say any other team is on the same level as the Yankees. The Red Wings also went 42 years between championships, with 14 straight sub-.500 years. The longest the Yankees went between championships since their first is only 18 years. Anyways, I'm glad the Red Wings aren't spending like the Yankees now. It was nice for a bit, but I wouldn't want them doing that every year.

I didn't know they had NHL games on google video. That's great news, because I've been working a lot of evenings and have missed a good number of games already. Thanks for the link. =D

No problem. I usually check that site out to see if these Crosby and Malkin kids are for real. They sure look like it to me. And they'll only get better. :eyebrow:

Good thing there are no Ducks fans here, or I'd be ragged on harsh right now.

P.S - Ronz, about the Chara picture...Look at that blade on his stick! No curve!

Wow, Hasek got his second straight shutout and the Red Wings stopped Nashville's 5 game win streak. That puts the Wings to 8 straight wins now, good stuff. They're only allowing 21 shots a game, 5 less than the next best team, which is a good way to give the team a chance to win. I missed the game because I was working though, hopefully it'll be up on google video soon.

And Anaheim finally lost a game, about time.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Penguins really need to make some kind of a trade for some defense. Otherwise they are doomed to fail like the last 4 years. The season is still early yet, they are still 7-6-2 which isn't bad, but I feel like I'm witnessing my team self-destructing before my eyes.

I can't believe Mark Eaton's injury means that much to the defense. Hopefully GM Ray Shero can make some moves so he can get rid of some of the crap that Craig Patrick drafted. When I say that I mean faggots like Ryan Whitney.

Or we could trade Gonchar for an actual defenseman. We already have enough talented forwards.

How ya doing, buddy?

Oh, so you're a Canucks fan?

Oh, wait. You were talking about the Penguins.

We lost to the Flames 3-2 tonight, in a contest where we had a 2-0 lead halfway through the game.

I am very close to pulling my Luongo avatar, he's beginning to piss me off. That and the fact that it just doesn't suit a gaming forum. Now taking suggestions for an avatar.

In all seriousness, we're going to need a fucking miracle to even compete with the Wings on Tuesday. Oh, wait, we always compete. We just fucking lose, no matter how badly we outplay. We've only been outplayed 3 times this season, tops. I'm already ready to write this season off and trade Naslund, Morrison, and Cooke for some draft picks.

Finally! We really needed that win. After dropping 3 of our last 4 solid leads, a victory over a virtually undefeated team is quite impressive. I was glad to see Emery back in nets though, I don't know what's up with Gerber but he needed a game off.

Oh god why is Therrien playing T-Blo instead of Fleury tonight against the Sabres.

I didn't like our chances to begin with, but now they just got a hell of a lot worse.

MAF is 25th in the league in GAA, 13th in the league in save %. Obviously, the plan is to get back at Thibault for sucking and being a career backup.

10 days without a post in this thread is unacceptable. Fire + Ice i'm looking at you to fix this. I MEAN COME ON :EMERY:

3 coaches fired so far this season. Hitchcock in Philly, Gallant in Colombus, and now Yawney in Chicago.

Who's next?
