This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Problem solved. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |

Are the blu-ray movies going to be region free too or just the games?
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |

Most likely just the games, like the way it is with the PSP. Movies are under a different copyright law than games are, so I've heard.

Region-free, eh? Nice to hear! However, would that apply only to PS3 games? What about PSone and PS2 games?
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
About the region coding and controller redesign, it sounds like great news. But both really aren't all that surprising, given Kutaragi's announcement that all PS3 games would be on BD. The U.S. and Japan are in the same region according to Blu-Ray so even if it wasn't region free, the games could still play. Oh, and everyone and their mother knew the controller wasn't the final one. There's nowhere I can't reach. The text is part of the image and the two squires aren't exactly even. |
Any new pics of the controller (revised?) I sure hope Sony is smarter than that to keep the present boomerang thingamajig.

Do you have a source for this announcement? I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Here's the teaser, Sega;
Oh, and the new design hasn't been revealed, they're saving it for E3. I was speaking idiomatically. The text is part of the image and the two squires aren't exactly even. |
The controller is being revised? ZOMG NO WAIZ??!1111???ONE!!!! Did they officialy announce that it's gonna be revised or is it some kind of rumor? I havn't read anything about that yet.

About the Ratchet and Clank game -- I read somewhere that the city they were overlooking was similar to one in a Star Wars game; something that started with a C. Oh well.

I realize that, but having no idea what Coruscant looks like, the article made it sound as if it were some big deal. I 'unno.

That's what Coruscant looks like, but why would it seem like a big deal? Sprawling mega-cities are extremely common in R&C and in Sci-Fi in general. There's nowhere I can't reach. The text is part of the image and the two squires aren't exactly even. |
FIRST PIC OF THE PS3's RE-DESIGNED CONTROLLER!

That should be Miyamoto in the background. "AHH USE IT FOR ZELDA."

Well, Sony have been 'inspired' by Nintendo in the past, this could be the following 'inspiration'. The Magic Wand!

Here's the link to that tech demo we keep hearing about. Pretty sure it hasn't been posted yet.

PS3 to be region-free for games
http://ps3.ign.com/articles/697/697656p1.html
I don't know how much this will affect the wider gaming population, but especially for folks like us, many of whom are collectors, it means we can own any game, from any part of the world, without having to mess with modchips or warranty-voiding.
FELIPE NO |
This will make my life much easier in the future. No longer do I have to play with swaps/mods to play legally owned import titles anymore should I want to grab an import PS3 title.
How I wish this would have been done with the PS2. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Certainly good news for eurogamers like me. I'm guessing PS2 games will still be locked so can't let go of the old console just yet.
Regardless, if I ever do get a PS3 (there is that new Ueda project), this ought to make life a whole lot easier. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Oh my, region free. <3 Could be the death of Square-Enix Europe's shit work!
NTSC PAL There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Though I think you mean: They allowed us to imagine we had a widescreen TV which we used to squish 4:3 picture into 16:9! =o This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
