I had an awesome FFXII run today!!

This morning, I played for five hours and had gotten all the way from the Feywood to the Port (the second time), defeating a gazillion enemies, wandering through several dangerous areas, and putting the beatdown on 2 not-so-tough bosses and one Esper along the way. Awesome!

It's awesome that praying mantises look so cool, and for the first time ever, Behemoths are two legged!!

I got new armour and several grimoires and the story is so cool! I'm tempted to go onwards now, but maybe this is a good time to go do more sidequests and hunts. What do you think?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

That's "Preying" according to the game, heh. I was kind of expecting them to be bipedal, following the trend of what we saw with the werewolves, yetis, humbabas.

Now, when you've done enough hunts to get the King Behemoth one, you'll see the big brutes of yesteryear (only far cooler, you have no idea how many times I've wished for FFVI with this much detail to the world).

You're actually at the same point I am story-wise, and I'm wrapping everything I can up before going to Ridorana. That means hunts, medallion quest (this is actually pretty easy), new equipment at Dalmasca Estersand+Westersand merchant. Now that I've got the medallions for the Necrohol, I'm just leveling on Deadbones (unless someone knows of a better place) until I hit 85 then I'm off to fight Humbaba Mistant (Beastlord... horns...), Fury and Chaos (another Esper).

Oh, and I've noticed, that Assassin's Arrows (Black) and Artemis Arrows (Green). I was expecting them to look the same, but I was pleasantly surprised. Just after I'm done leveling, I'll see if I can't steal some more Maximillians just to get some better armor.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

HELP ME!!!

I matched everyone in Archades to get the Sandal Chops or whatever, but WHERE do I go to trade all my Pine Chops for the Sandal?? The cab driver doesn't mention anything, and the lady blocking the door to the Grand Arcade says I can't enter. Help help help! The guide doesn't say squat, and the FAQs say squat!! I have to get in to save that poor cute round Cockatrice!

When I first heard of a Grand Arcade in Archades, I thought it was a place where you can play lots of mini-games like at Golden Saucer. Then I checked the guide and I WAS DISAPPOINTED

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Go to any one of the shops scattered throughout Archades, and go up the stairs past the counter where you buy the items. On this "2nd floor", talk to the guy behind the counter to trade in your chops. I matched everyone and got the Sandalwood chop. If anyone's played FFTA, you'd know what's one of the types of wood you get for finishing a mission in that game, while Salikawood seems to be an actual place in the game as well.

Oh, and the Grand Arcade is alright, I like the area where you can see the cars flying by a few feet from you. I guess the main reason it's there is for you to see the different social "ranks" in Archades.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

You're going to hate that little bastard Renn. You have to get Chit (the Eruyt village cockatrice) back to Giza before he goes back. If you haven't done the one with Sassan in the South Bank Village, do it, it's hilarious. Sassan starts hitting on Torie (lady on the north bank) and proposes to her, heh.

I myself just got into Archades. and did the chop thing to get that cab ride. The Chop thing seems a little tedious, but it's all good. It's sad that there was no 'Curaja' in Archades. I was hoping there would be so I could go and fight another optional esper or something. Metal, exactly how far are you into the game?

You don't have to wait long until you get Curaja, Karasu. Just hang in there a bit, it really helps with the hunts that pop up after a certain story event. Hell, it hurts just to imagine fighting the King Behemoth without it, since Cura wouldn't come close to healing enough.

I'm at the same point in the game that Freelance Wolf is, but I've stopped to get whatever Espers/Hunts/Quests I can do now before going to Ridorana. Leveling at the moment, in preparation for Chaos and then eventually Yiazmat, Hell Wyrm and Omega.

Spoiler:
LOL at Al-Cid. How badass. Also, poor Drace. That was so awful! I've never seen anything like that in any other FF game, except Tactics. But it's so much more shocking when it's ultra-realistic like that.

Well, my A-Team (Penelo, Balthier, Vaan) is level 83 and my B-Team (Ashe, Fran , Basch) is level 77. They were all 77 until about an hour ago, when I started leveling. Deadbones are taking longer and longer to level on now, which is giving me 2 distinct messages:

1. Continue with the game

2. Find something else to level on

I'm planning on steamrolling the 3 brutes in the Necrohol, though I'm still undecided on who's going to get Chaos... maybe Vaan?

Still, for the most effeicent (albeit repetetive and sorta boring) leveling that skeleton field should be the best spot.

Yeah, I jumped from about 52 to 77 here when I first came to the Deadlands (when I was hunting Roblon). I did the math for it and if you go up the hill, run a cycle around the top and head back down and repeat it once more (there's a dual spawn on this map; a second wave spawns) you fight ~41 skeletons for 1199 each.

That's 49,159 exp per run without the Embroidered Tippet, and 98,318 exp with it equipped. If you do what I'm doing, which is fleeing all the way to The Slumbermead and back to Overlooking Eternity, you can keep a VERY nice chain going. Ancient Bones are about 2115 gil and Blood-Darkened Bones are close to that, so you start getting pairs or more of each kind. Simply going from 52 to 77 should net you close to a million gil, so you shouldn't flinch at the Tournesol's price in the Bazaar when it becomes available (600k).

Damn, I just counted my Espers and here's what I have:

- Belias
- Mateus
- Adrammelech
- Cuchulainn
- Zalera
- Shemhazai
- Zeromus
- Exodus
- Ultima

Looks like Chaos will make 10, so is this new area the Henne Mines?

How ya doing, buddy?

Yes, Zodiark is deep within the Henne Mines, but I wouldn't recommend going in there until you're at least level 85. I went there at level 80 and had trouble...the mobs are abundant and annoying.

There's a possibility that the treasure chest has a certain chance of appearing every time you enter the Great Crystal. Why not try zoning in and out of the Great Crystal and see if it appears? I had to do that to get the Demonsbane sword in King Raithwall's Tomb. It was quite annoying to run to the secret passage, find no chest (or the chest that was there had some other kind of treasure), and then run all the way back to the Way Stone to teleport out in order to teleport back in to reset the chests in the tomb.
Oh ok, I'll try that, thanks

How goes your side trip? I'm doing the same thing you're doing. I've played for eight hours, with small breaks on occasion and finished several quests, joined the Hunt Club, and defeated some normal and Elite marks. *whew!* I certainly did a lot today, but I haven't scratched the surface yet. There's still a gazillion more things I need to do. FFXII is the first game since FFVIII where going out of your way to do non-important things can be so much fun.

The Hunts in this game is so much better than than that sidequest in FFX where you had hunt monsters to get an important item. Was that ever boring.

The level V Hunts I've accomplished so far were easy. Yay for pumped up parties with Bubble Belts and things.

Oh, I popped in there and let me tell you... it was not fun. Abysteels are a pain in the ass, and if that's what it's going to be like all the way to Zodiarc, I'm going to level to 95 and get far better armor just to ease some of that.

It was already horrible in Giruvegan wandering around with Skulwyrms, Shadonirs, Giruvegani and other assorted losers wailing on me and I was 15 levels above them at the time.

Very good actually. I finally reached level 85, wiped the floor with Fury and Humbaba Mistant (Mmm, Beastlord Horn... I need 2 more, does he respawn?) and I'm on my way to fight Chaos. Anyone have any tips?

I'll join the Hunt Club after I get Chaos, but I'm almost done with all the stuff out there.

Yeah, I agree. The monsters you have to take down, and the conditions surrounding the hunts actually makes me more interested in finding them, if only for the challenge but sometimes to change something in a part of the world (kill Fafnir and you'll see what I mean). Rank V monsters are easy, and VI is just a tad harder. The jump to VII is ridiculous though, so be sure to keep leveling.

...Still no Gnoma Entite. Oh, and Fury and Humbaba Mistant? You're going to enjoy those two, but I won't spoil it.

My little sister is sick, and didn't want me making noise in the living room, so after I ate diner after 8 hours of play, I went right back to the bedroom to play some more. Of course, that's not exactly good for my health, and thus I now have a headache. The day was very fun, though, so I shall not complain. Besides, my big sister is coming home today (she went to Japan), and she got my Jump Ultimate Stars during her stay there. Whoo!

I didn't know you were over level 80, Metal Sphere! I'm only in my 40's.

Hey, I just accepted the hunt for Pecsodemon or whatever-the-hell it's name is, before I stopped playing for good. The thing is, I checked the map to see where it was in Giruvegan, and was horribly dismayed to see that it's extremely far in from the damn entrance/teleport stone. I assume there's like, no faster way to get to this mark, eh? Rats. I HATE travelling through Giruvegan and the Waterway. It's bad enough that Nabudis sidequest involved my making sveeral trips into the Waterway, but Giruvegan is worse. Bah!

My second trip through the game netted me with a few more hunts, plus 2 Espers. Whoo! Finally got that one in the Zet. Caverns and the one in the Barheim Passage. I was in there solely to get the Bloodwing (didn't know it would be so far in), and after I defeated it, I decided to go straight to the nearest exit, which was just to the West of the place where the Bloodwing was. Anyway, I came to a save point (WAHOO! Those Dead Bones and Spectors were a total pain!) and then went into the room beyond. Okay, at this point, I totally forgot that there was an Esper lurking in the Passage, and when I ran toward that room beyond, I suddenly remembered. I thought to myself, "Oh wait, isn't there supposed to be an Esper in here? That GIANT room right in front of me looks to be a perfect place for a boss battle. I think it was in Terminus 17, according to the boss of those two Seeqs." So I stopped running and checked the map. Lo and behold, I was right! D'oh! I didn't want to fight it just yet, but I went in anyway (I'm right beside it, so I might as well. Besides, I wanna get outta the place ASAP), and I won. Yay.

That is my story. Wasn't that so exciting?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

99 hours in, I think I'm done. Captured all the Espers, everyone @ 99, beat the game, all that was left was Omega MkXII and the last hunt. For some reason, I CAN'T unlock the last hunt, which pisses me off, and I'm not going to be able to 100% complete the game like I hoped because I SUCK AT FUCKING FISHING. Can't pass Midstream, so fuck. Awesome game, shit mingame.

Time to go play some Tales of the Abyss and Castlevania: PoR I guess.

Character's stats for FF12

Hello, if anyone is familiar with the Brady Games FF12 guide, then on pages 6 and 8 it has the character's bios. Those pages have the levels for each character and the minimum/maximum HP/MP for each level.

However, the levels go up in increments of 10, so they don't show all the levels. This is important to me because I'm trying to find out what the min/max HP and MP for each character is for EVERY level and not just every 10 levels. I want to know so that I can start the game over again, and this time work on perfect stats for each character.

So does anyone know where I can find this information? Any help would be appreciated.

Played for some hours the other day, fought some cool battles against
Spoiler:
Gilgamesh, though it was not too hard at level 60, but hell yes, the good old days...

and
Spoiler:
against the SUUUUUUPER enemy in Sochen Cave Palace, that seems to have like a bazillion HP, but fortunately, you can leave the area and come back and it would have just the amount of HP it had when you left it.

Okay, I am thoroughly enjoying this game with about 24 hours of play into it now. I really like this new direction for Final Fantasy. After this I never want to see a random battle again. Ever. I also like how the game concentrates on moving the main story along and doesn't waste my time with useless dialogue.

After more than a half dozen attempts I was finally able to take down both Demon Walls in the Tomb of Raithwall and now have my Demonsbane sword.

I hope FFXIII continues this new trend of awesomeness.

I picked up this one a week ago. I'm really enjoying it and I'm hooked. I have a question, however:

What is the Northswine Glow on the license board? It's a 50 point license without a description. It glows and it stems north from the accessory licenses at the edge.

It's one of Ashe's Quickenings. Notice how if you highlight that same piece of the board with another chracter it'll have a different name. That's because each character has his own Quickenings, but they can be learned from any of the 18 "Quickening" pieces of the board that haven't been used yet.

Jesus Christ, this game... I just found out I completely missed out on the Genji set because the only way you can get it is stealing from Gilgamesh. Now that makes 2 things I've missed out on, the Zodiac Spear and the armor. Hopefully there's nothing else.

seanne, I've filled up all the altars of night in the Penumbra at Ridorana, how the hell do I get to the Umbra and Abyssal? I can't remove orbs or put them anymore, how do I reset them?
