Whats the best place to quicklz level up lvl35 characters? All my active members have an golden armband so LP wont be a proble for me.
I cant seem to find the spoiler button so SPOILER ALERT(mark text to read)

Why does the Empire attack Mt. Bur-Omisace again and why did Lord Larsa disappear? I somehow didn't give any attention to that part. Can't wait until I'm at Darklor Laboratory to finally see what's really behind that "shadow" but right now I need to level up and make some hunting.

thanks!
Spoiler:
Well after the assassination the Empire seemed to be in turmoil and Vanye wanted his brother back in Archades. Though it is not clear why Bergan would attack the Grand Kiltias (seeing as the late-Judge Drace made him seem like an ally against the Resistance), Bergan probably found out the Grand Kiltias Anastasis was helping out Ashe, not to mention the presence of the rival House of Malgrace. So I am guessing the Empire saw it th wrong way and decided Bur-Omisace is a traitor. You gotta read in between the lines.

Spoiler:

Actually, Vayne probably knows his brother isn't a compliant little puppet and wants to keep an eye on him. You know, keep your enemies closer, etc...

Spoiler:
Well, Al-Cid mentioned that the it was completely calm until they (either him or the Gran Kiltias) suggested they hand over Larsa peacefully and without incident. He said that at that point Bergan became violent and started killing folks.

So... Ghis is dead, Drace and Bergan too. That leaves Gabranth and the guy with the sharp horned armor. He was the one who tried to stop Vayne from killing her. Same guy who, in the hallway scene before entering Golmore, tells Drace and Gabranth to watch what they say. Apparently everyone knows Vayne's nature very well.

Oh, and the panthers in Golmore are good at the moment. While hunting Roblon, I found a ridiculous leveling spot. It was the same skeletons from Barheim, but this time they spawn like crazy, buffed completely and spam magic little bitches. The best part is, if you try to cast against them, they use Reflectga. I went from level 56 to 76 in the span of about an hour. A few too many close calls/mobs for my liking though.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Actually, there's technically no limit so long as you get the buttons pressed within the time limit. I've gotten a 21-hit combo before. All you pretty much have to do is press the buttons before time ends, and if there's no buttons to press, you press R2 until there's something to press. Mist Charge gives that character some Mist carts back so you can do another attack with them (so it's usually best to press that button twice).

Ridorana Cataract without Libra or Vanishga is fucking gay.

That being said, I just finished the Pharos at Ridorana or whatever it's called (people say I am good in remembering dungeon names!!) and so I'm not facing the final level, it seems. I will finish the remaining mob hunts first, though

I'm doing a quest where i need to go back to the Barheim Passage (some stupid monster killed someone's friend). The thing is that the entrance is blocked and it also i cant get in though teleport warp. Any ideas?

Also, where do i get the Barheim Key?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

The quest for the key was described in the previous page You have to finish the side-quest Patient in the Desert, which starts with the Flowering Cactoid hunt, and leads you through a series of tasks to heal an injured person that gives you the key when he gets better.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

These hunts are too easy; I must have waited to do a lot at once, because I'm kicking their asses.

I'm at about Level 50 now; what level, would you suggest, is a good one before I head into the Feywood?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I'm at the same lvl as you, and when i started to think that the game was becoming easy i headed (without knowing) to Nabreaus Deadlands. Pretty though monsters there, good exp though. I'm doing a mob hunt here, but if the enemies are kinda though, the mob will definitely kick my arse...Just fought with one of those fake save crystals, though bastard.....

Keep hunting. They'll get harder and harder. Right now I only need 1 more rank V monster before I'm done with that tier. I've got tons of VI guys lined up, however and one VII which ran away from me into a difficult area.

Spoiler:
It's the "Man of Ancient Mystery" hunt, Gilgamesh and Enkidu, his dog. Clowns ran off into a part of the mines where the enemies are level 60. With my current armor, I'd get annihilated.

Quote:

As suggested above, the Deadlands are a good place. The Bakanamys there don't mob ANYWHERE near as much as they do inside, heck they even seem weaker. Wait until 2 appear then Blizzaga, since you rarely fight only one.

There's a secret path in the Slumbermead map, along the north edge of said map, that leads to where Roblon is. He, himself, is easy (beat him at level 57) but the UNGODLY DeadBones spawn there will make your life hell. They'll spam the -ara spells like crazy, during the hunt there are always more than 3 around you, and they always come up buffed. Stick it out, keep one guy hammering at Roblon (he's weak to blind and slow) and this hell should end.

That's the place I mentioned earlier, the something -something overlooking eternity map. With the Embroidered tippets you get 3k+ experience per skeleton and you can make huge chains if you flee back to the Slumbermead and back again ad nauseum. Highest I got was 354 or 355 before I got tired.

Edit: Oh, and I finally got out of the damn Paragon of Justice rank. High Guardian (28 Marks) is real nice, especially the Cat-ear Hoods you can buy at the clan provisioner. Great for everyone, especially those who have weapons whose power is based on the speed stat.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Thanks.

Which gambit strategies do you think are the best and which are the best techniques? Since they're expensive I don’t wanna waste money on unuseful ones.
Oh and how high should I level myself up so I don't need to worry until the end of the (storybased) game anymore? Between 60 and 70?

How ya doing, buddy?

There's not really much you can do with Gambit strategies. I mean, just make the AI do what you normally would.

The only technicks I use are Charge and Telekinesis. Everything else is pretty much useless.

I've heard that the final boss is a decent challenge at around level 50, so I guess if you want to obliterate the final boss easily then you should be beyond level 60.

I'm in the Great Crystal (the area within Giruvegan). Just beat Ultima, my main party (Vaan, Ashe, and Balthier) are all level 77, so the fight was a breeze. But to the point, none of the treasure rooms along the way to Ultima (except for the Excalibur sword, which took my two backtracks to get) had any worthy treaure in them (only 2-4 gil!). No matter how many times I backtrack I can't get any good items. I read somewhere that the Stone Sword is here, but none of the treasure rooms are giving anything up...what's the deal? Keep in mind I JUST beat Ultima, so I haven't backtracked since then to see if beating her unlocked the treasures.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

I finished the game at level 48, and I had my reserve 3 at 49 which I've never had to use. I found it to be fairly easy, I've had more problems with some prior bosses. Although I'm hearing that people are still coming across problems in their 60s at the end of the game. I'm not sure why that is, maybe bad gambit set up? You definitely should not be conservative about potions, because it's not like you will need them later.

Only technick I've ever used was libra and steal. I didn't bother with any of the others.

You're supposed to be able to finish the game at 40+, recommended is over 45. At my level, I was running out of places to level.. highest mobs were around 50ish. It must take forever to get past 60 or even 99.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

The Site 11 Key unlocks a pretty high-leveled part of the Lhusu Mines. I'm level 59 and I had a pretty hard time getting to Site 7 to complete a mob hunt. There were level 57+ mobs in that area of the mines.

Also, with the DeadBones farming trick in the Deadlands, you can easily gain a dozen levels, provided you're strong enough to survive their barrage of attacks.

Well, I'm quite a bit behind all of you, with Okami and work taking up all of my precious play time. I just recently got to the Sandsea, and since I had Vossler in my party again, I thought I'd take advantage of him and go elsewhere and do a bunch of stuff. So far, I think the story is (what little I've seen) is very interesting (if only real-life politics were half as interesting) and the voice acting is top notch. Now that I've got the hang of it, I'm loving the battle system.

Right now I'm in the Lhusu minds killing skeletons. I'm trying to build up a ton of money so that I won't have to later. I had a chain of about 300 skeletons before I left the mines last time, and had about 30,000 gil in loot. I'm also trying to fill up as much of my license board as possible. I'm going to keep doing this until I simply get bored, but knowing my tendency to power-level, I will probably have everybody's board finished soon. Why? Because I HATE dying. It hate it, it makes me want to just stop playing. So, I'm gonna have tons of cash and tons of abilities and armor available at all times. (Right now, all of my characters have the best swords and armor available at any of the current shops.)

And once I'm strong enough to easily kick some enemy ass, I'll actually be able to sit back and enjoy the game.

I got lost on my way to the Sochen Cave/whatever :D

I went into the Tupilta Whatever Hills and went running and running and there were so many different exits and twists that I finally ended up with a save point and a lone Bangaa hunter who got lost on his way to his employer. Don't tell me. I'm miles away from where I'm supposed to be going :D

Then I stopped playing (after saving of course), to do some levelling in FF III for DS. Apparently the 2nd cave you're supposed to go is already filled with enemies kicking my ass. Why must older games be so hard? :(

You might not wanna to this so early on in the game cause you will simply waste your times (a loooot of time) since later in the game there are accessories which will double your LP and EXP. You will also be able to steal more worthwhile lots. I could steel loot worth over 10'000gil within just minutes an there are items out there for which you have to pay beyond 200'000gil (like on of those grimoires). Leveling up will take to long with those weak enemies anyway.

I'm halfway through the game (on the way to the Draklor Laboratorys) and already at lvl 41. Looks like only the hunts and optional bosses are gona be a challenge for me now.

I realize that I can't do it forever, but I will as long as it seems fesible. I've nearly finished everybody's enhancement section. You know, speed + 10% and all of that good stuff.

Also, I have a problem. I signed up for a hunt in the Giza Plains, but when I try to go out there, the game crashes. What do I do?

I take it you are using a burnt copy?

Try
1. A different DVD media
2. Using Alcohol to burn it on a LOW speed
3. If you used alcohol try a different program

I was using a copy that was burned with nero and it took 45secs-1minute to load up an area and reburnt it with alcohol now runs supersweet =]

And on topic... which of the past FFs do you all think has had the biggest references to (if any) in the game?
