My shame is limitless.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I enjoyed things while they were going on, I just didn't (and admittedly probably still don't) have time to be the guy who decided where we were gonna go and what we were gonna do.

I'm also willing to get back at it, extreme sandbox-style or no!

And this time I'm willing to crack that whip if the need comes up.

To be fair, last time i played i was a character who couldn't communicate with anyone but Shin, thus preventing me from having any good reason to push the party anywhere (i also threw that one guy who was supposed to give us plot out a window, but i was kind of expecting one of the other PCs to at least try to stop me or something). Assuming there's space, i'll give it a shot, though i can't guarantee i'll be much better at the whole sandbox thing. Stabbing bad guys, though, i've got that covered.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Well, I was half kidding, but if you guys are down then I'm down. Certainly my other campaign will slump to a boring halt within the next couple of weeks. I'm pretty sure I'm done with sandboxes, though: two sandbox campaigns both fail within a couple months, and the campaign that starts with a goofy megadungeon lasts years. The lesson is pretty clear.

As long as Skills and/or Shin is aboard I don't think we'll have any shortage of people shouting orders but I don't think anyone on GFF is ever going to intervene to stop a defenestration. It's just not in our nature.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

What system do you want to use?

Well, I don't think the problem with the Gamma World game was really the system so much as "exploring the Denver suburbs isn't in itself a compelling adventure and using Google Maps as a campaign setting is lazy as shit" so I was figuring on sticking to GW since everybody's got a pretty solid grip on the 4E core by now. But, you know, with actual things to do instead of "you see a gas station, and also a ditch".

I mean, I'll run whatever if somebody wants to take a spin at being a vampire or a Mormon cowboy or a kobold or whatever. But, absent suggestions, we gettin' our mutant future on.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Yeah, 4E is super easy to explain and by now Acer might even remember like

two or three of the rules

if we're lucky

So surely some other people might too

There was even that time i almost kinda sorta managed to teach a bunch of newbies how to play 4E before everything fell to pieces. Someday i will suck less at being a DM, but today is not that day.

Point being - if it is simple enough that even i can teach it, we're probably good.

Ok so when I bumped this it seemed like at least three of you were down? But then when I posted a sweet-ass new campaign thread, nobody posts a character. Ok, actually now that I look it's only been 4 days. But point stands. Go post in this thread now. It is a pretty good campaign! I think maybe you might enjoy it!

This is the most awesome setting.
