More Mega Drive stuff today, but it's A SPECIAL MEGA DAY.. DRIVE.

MASTER SYSTEM CONVERTER. I'M STOKED. NOW I CAN DO EVERYTHING ON ONE SYSTEM. I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR ONE OF THESE BLOODY THINGS SINCE 1996. It's so annoying having to hook both up and get the RF switches confused, that and the convertor lets you use the MD's pause button to like, you know, pause the game. Master System never had the luxury of a pause button on its controller, you'd have to go all the way over to the system. By that time you might have died! >=(

The other stuff is just a bonus! I can't really remember much about Landstalker apart from the intro seeming to take hours. JAPANESE MOONWALKER, this calls for kawaii groin grabbing. I'm confused about Street Fighter though, using the Japanese Mega Drive logo, the cartridge is the same shape as a Japanese cart (which means it doesn't fit into a PAL unit without a convertor), yet it's apparently PAL format and the manual's english. It looks WAY too fancy to be a pirated copy!

There's nowhere I can't reach.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Snagged up a copy of Suikoden V at Game Stop a couple of days ago. So far, I gotta say I'm rather impressed. Within the first few hours it dawned on me that this one could be on par with the first two, and may even surpass them? That is yet to be seen. Anyways, it's a great game and I'm glad I picked it up, and for a mere $34!

Wow, Moonwalker. The Genesis (I mean Mega Drive, honest!) game was fun at the time, but I prefer the Moonwalker arcade game that no one seems to remember, also by Sega.

Also, to add to the topic, my most recent purchase was Front Missions 1 through 3, on SNES and PSOne. Wonderful games...where the hell is part 5?!

I was speaking idiomatically.

Far Cry: Instincts - I was actually unaware that this was not the first game in the series >.> But I am really having fun with it. Will it hold me over until Crysis? Not a snowball's chance in hell.

Doom 3: As of now I have beaten it, and I think it sucks.

=/. I saw neither game still at an EBgames and a Best Buy I went to. But...

I did get Trauma Center: Under the Knife and played through the first chapter. Wow, this game is fun. This is as close as I'll ever get to blood, since I hate it.

Also got a GC memcard.

Finally got around to going to TRU and picked up a number of interesting games.

Drakengard 2 for $20, which I didn't even expect as it's not on the clearance list.
Psychonauts, Ninja Gaiden Black, and Baten Kaitos for $15 each. I've heard tons of good things about Psychonauts, I suck at regular Ninja Gaiden, so I'm hoping Black will be easier, and Baten Kaitos because I hear it's pretty good, and I want a good Gamecube RPG.

There were a number of other games I thought about buying, but I just ordered a PSP with Valkyrie Profile yesterday, so I'm already out quite the pretty penny.

My recent purchases - Ninety Nine Nights, Dead Rising, and Madden 2007 all for XBOX360.

N3 - so far I like this game, plays similar to Dynasty Warriors, but has that next-gen feel to it. The music, and cinematics are great in this game. Gameplay is just your average hack and slash game. Its also impressive how many enemies it can handle on screen at once.

Dead Rising - Good game, with a lot of fun elements. The atmosphere for this game, makes you feel as if you trapped inside the mall also. The game can get difficult, but its better then being too easy. The only bad thing I have against this game is the save option. You can only save in a few places (i.e. Bathroom, security room), and once you die then you have to start all over from the begining.

Madden 2007 - Its just another sports game, but I love football and basketball games so I am sucked into buying the new version each year.

It's an official release. It was released before the latest TR got released, and it's basicly a box with 3 DVD-cases filled with CDs.

Here is a Dutch link, where I bought it - http://www.nl.bol.com/is-bin/INTERSH...&lgl_Section=1

I went way overboard on games this week, especially DS games. Needless to say, I don't see too many other games being bought in my future.

I bought six PS2 games this week, all at Circuit City. They had Jak X, Ratchet: Deadlocked, Shadow of the Colossus, and Sly 3 all on sale for $15, so I totally jumped on that offer. While there, I also saw The Getaway: Black Monday for $7, and since I already have the first one (though I haven't played it), I figured why not get it for this cheap. And finally, I saw Suikoden Tactics for $10, which also seemed like a good offer.

As for DS games, I bought eleven of them this week. While at Circuit City, I saw Tony Hawk's American Sk8land for $20, so I got it just because. Also, earlier this week I ordered Electroplankton online for $35 (been wanting it for a while, since it looks pretty interesting, despite its flaws), so that should be coming soon. And I just bought Star Fox Command earlier today at best Buy for $30.

The rest of the DS games I bought at Target, and they were all on clearance for $5-$15. Some of these games I don't actually care about, but I just bought them because they were cheap. All of these games are:

Asphalt Urban GT
Greg Hastings Paintball Tournament Max'd
Pokemon Dash
Rayman DS
Retro Atari Classics
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3
Ultimate Spider-Man
World Poker Championship Deluxe Series

Counting Electroplankton, I now have 43 DS games, which is way more than I expected to have for not even having the system for a year yet.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I bought La Pucelle, Gran Tourismo 4, and Shadow of the Colossus in Ontario. The total cost came to $63USD. I'm lucky that SotC doesn't have that ugly Greatest Hits tag, although GT4 obviously does

You'll get over it. If you have a projectile character like Oswald, it's possible to beat him with 90% of your health left. Possible, not simple.

Finally broke down and bought a copy of Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, but i can't open it till Nick and Randy are over. We've promised to only play those games when the three of us are present. We did Sands of Time together, and hopefully soon we'll get through Warrior Within.

Um, I bought a copy of Star Fox Command too...I really hope that the people at Gamers will give me at least some money on trade, because it's one of the worst games I've ever played. What were they thinking with the touchscreen? It would have been pretty bad if they had used regular controls, just because it's so repetitive, but trying to fly using the stylus is awful!

EDIT: So, yeah, I exchanged my copy back for maybe 2/3 the price I paid for it in store credit. The upside is that the store apparently got a copy of Electroplankton in since last night. It can't be worse than Star Fox Command...because it at least has pretty box art.

Yea but...I guess when I try and play the game with specific teams to get their ending [despite I can't read Japanese for shit] it's frustrating when that team doesn't have characters that can get around Magaki. But I said 'fuck this' and put my super and change bars at max. lol. What sucks though is no one around me plays KoF, much less XI...so i'm kinda by myself lol.

August.

Sonic Gems Collection is pretty bad, so thank god it was cheap. I'll end up selling it because the entire thing has NOTHING worth playing. Even Sonic CD isn't worth playing since the OST is the american version. Mega Collection looked tempting, but since it's basically a bunch of roms and an emulator, I'll pass.

I've completed Paper Mario (sup ronz) and loved it. The game had it's slow points (ie. Glitzville, Poshley Heights) but was still highly enjoyable. The ending was pretty generic though. It all up took me 38 hours to complete. The giant tree was probably my favorite part, along with finding random stuff like star pieces. It's a shame games like these don't hold very much replay value in them.

I'm working on Metroid Prime 1. The game's great, but I don't really enjoy the controls all that much. I'm sure if I spent more time with it I'd get the feel for it though. I'm stuck around Phendranananaurrrgh. You know, the ice area which is all sealed off and looks like doors need to be opened with a different weapon. (and which links from Magmoor Caverns)

F-Zero GX looks amazing. It arrived today with Bujingai, but I haven't had a chance to play them yet. From videos I've seen, they both look incredibly fun. I honestly don't know why people give them shit.

ACZ is also making great use of my surround system, and the japanese version has english optional. More games should do this, really. The only annoying part is AWACS is in japanese regardless. Probably the most satisfying thing about Bujingai and ACZ is that they were a grand total of $25 US all up.

Next month should be pretty huge as well, there's alot coming out. But I'm in no rush, these games I have right here will keep me busy for quite awhile. I don't really like to purchase other games when I already have a backlog of them which need completing. And considering I'm one of those faggy obscure indie gamers who usually only imports 2D games, getting these titles for GC have been a nice change.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

This week I purchased Disgaea 2 on release day lest it become difficult to find. I also purchased Jak & Daxter 3, because I'm about half-way through Jak & Daxter 1 and am truly enjoying it. Costco still had it for $15 so I felt it was a good purchase. Besides some RPG action, my plan is to play J&D 1, then 2, then 3 in order.
