I stopped caring for digimon after the second series came out. Then after that it was like yugioh/ digimon with 5 year old kids. Not my game.

You do realize that it only happened in the third season, right? Oh, and the fact that once the Digimon evolved to Champions and up, they stopped the cards right? The cards gave the Rookies new skills, but once they evolved, they didn't need the cards anymore.
The third season was the best in the series too. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.  |

Well Freelance we will have to hang out on the forums until the movie is out, and we can stay here seeing if Season 6 is ever released. I never really got into the cards, I have a few decks, but I never understood the card game. I was too lazy to learn XP. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

Episode 44 is out. DATS seem to be on hyper mode.
Noooo, I'm pretty sure what SephirothStrife meant was the card slashing theme in Tamers. I assumed he only saw a few episodes and didn't realize the Tamers stopped using the cards when the Digimon could evolved. As for the card game, I have quite a collection too, but I never played the game. I read the instructions, but I couldn't understand any of it. I'll stick to YGO. It's much easier to learn. I will watch eps 41, 42 and 43 back to back tonight. I'll post comments afterwards. In the meantime, I got a mess of pics for you to look at. They're the complete evolution line of Coronamon and Lunamon, the two starring Digimon in the upcoming Digimon Story 2 DS games. Their lines go like this: Sunmon -> Coronamon -> Firamon -> Flaremon -> Apollomon Moonmon -> Lunamon -> Rekisumon -> Crescemon -> Dianamon Their Mega forms are named after the Greek gods, although one is a Goddess. They are twin brother and sister. Baby, Rookie and Champion forms:  Ultimate forms:  Mega forms:   I am really digging Coronamon's evolution line. I normally don't care for lion type characters, but Digimon always seem to come up with some wicked lion designs. Leomon and BanchouLeomon are among some of my favourite monsters. Apollomon reminds me of Agunimon, only much better. Lunamon's evos are okay, I guess. I'm not really fond of fairy humanoid types. I suppose they're trying to base the line on Antylamon, and I prefer Antylamon to Lunamon's line. P.S. The Savers movie hasn't appeared yet on DVD. P.P.S. Here's an image of a brand new Rookie dragon Digimon, which gives some hope of a 6th season or a new manga at least. I think Dracomon could be the very first dragon Rookie with wings. YAY for digimon world DS 2, I still need to become Tamer king in the first one >.> I haven't had any time to play it. Lets hope this one allows online battles with a Wifi connection, I wanna battle you Freelance. Also, those are some pretty cool new digimon. And I agree with you Freelance I never really liked Fairy-humanoid digmon much either~ ^^ We can only hope that rookie dragon digimon is a partner of one of the 6th season tamers. I really hope there is gunna be a 6th season, even if its a manga. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |

Even if we can't battle in Digimon DS, we can still trade. That's the only way you can get certain Digimon, like Veemon. If you don't have him yet, I can help you with that. It's cool that you can get Imperialdramon Dragon mode in this game. In the other games, you can only get Fighter mode. I love pretty much all dragon Digimon. They always have such cool designs, compared to Pokémon. Ugh. If I ever hear any news about any new season or manga, I'll be sure to post it here! P.S. I don't see how they can cram everything in a mere four episodes. I hope they don't rush it, but chances are they probably will  FELIPE NO

Looks like Chaotic and I have been playing Digi DS a lot. My team would technically be around and above his levels now if I hadn't done tons of degenerating to get better stats.
That sounds good. Since we'll be probably be spamming if we talk on the forum, I suggest we make a post each and then just edit that post whenever we want to say something. Trading is easy, so I'll guide you through it. Oh, and note that my connection can be bad while using the DS online, so hopefully we won't get into any snags while doing this. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

I haven't played Digimon world DS for a few months now, I've been busy playing my Wii. I think I'll get back into it now, since I'm very close to beating it.

I didn't like the series at first.
Masura's courage and hardheadedness just made everything move so much quicker. I loved the spiritual evolution everyone went through. It was inspiring. I thought everything would be done by the time I watched the whole thing through. I get all the way up to 48 and find out I have to wait for a sub. It broke my consistent chain. FELIPE NO |

It's about time we had an update in this thread. First off, Savers has been licensed, but I'm sure you all know that by now.
Also, the Savers movie has been released on DVD. As far as I can see, no sub has been released yet, although you can DL the raw. I never DL the raws, so I will wait for the sub. When does the movie take place in relation to the series? Unless it takes place after the series, I doubt it has anything important to the story in it, so I doubt it's very good. And has anybody indicated that they are going to sub it?
As for the OP/EDs, I wasn't really a big fan of any of them, especially not of any of the animation that went along with them. The only song I liked enough to download was Believer, which wasn't even an OP/ED. How ya doing, buddy?  |

The story has no connection to the anime, as far as I know. I could be wrong though. I just hope it's better than Frontier, which was easily the worst Digi movie. Sadly, it's only 24 or so minutes, so we might as well call it a typical episode.
Oh, and good news. Digimon World DS 2 (apparently going to be named to Dusk and Dawn here) will have online battles! At least, the Japanese version does. No word yet for the English version. You cannot have random battles, only through friend codes. It'd a refreshing change of pace to fight using monsters that aren't Pokémon for once, and with more attacks. I heard that the battles will be faster-paced than the first time, which is a good thing. Scanning each enemy Digimon in every battle does get tedious. I'm going to be getting Dawn. I assume that's what the English version of Sunburst is. There's nowhere I can't reach.

I'll probably pass even if it does get subbed.That's awesome news about World DS 2 though! About the only thing that would make it even better now was if you could bring over your Digimon from the first game into this one, but that's doubtful (that would have at least given me some incentive to go finish the first game, which I may still do one of these days). So yay for all four people who will end up getting the game here being able to battle each other! And for the record, I'm getting Dusk, just because it sounds cooler. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |

Sorry, but you can't transfer between games. Too bad...I would've liked to see my team in battle, most of which are made up of some badass dragons.
I'm slightly miffed that the requirement to get AeroVeedramon in the sequel is pretty high (get 40,000 beast or dragon exp). This is the second time they did that for my favourite Digimon >_> On the bright side, Veemon is now obtainable in the wild. Also, the game features the rest of the missing evolutions from Savers. ShineGreymon, MirageGaogamon, Rosemon, Duskmon, etc, are all available, plus lots of new Digimon that wasn't in the first game. There's a list floating around somewhere which I can post here if you want. Jogressing is a new feature in the sequel too. For the dub fans, it's DNA Digivolution here. You mix two Digimon to get a brand new Digimon. Oh, and Savers characters return, including a brand new face...  !!!Additional Spam: Sorry for the double post, but I have more Digimon World DS 2 news which you may find useful. I found pics of all the available starter packs for both versions. Choose your team wisely....or you can just choose the one with more of your favourite Digimon in it. Haha yeah, the Dusk Starters aren't very good compared to Dawn, in my opinion, but you don't have to use them. There's tons of other Digimon in this game.

Personally, I don't find the Dawn starters to be that much better (the only ones I would use is the RiseGreymon/Angewomon combo).

What Digimon do you like then? :3 I do agree that the Starters for both games aren't anything to write home about though, although I do like one starter from each Dawn pack while the other one sucks, whereas I don't like any except for BlackWereGarurumon in Dusk. If I was getting that game, I'd be getting that pack too. Oh, and thanks to Brady, the title of this thread has been changed, yay! I wonder where Azarus went. He usually posts here. Well, I like at least one of the starters from every combo in Dusk, except the one I chose in which I like both. The only ones I like at all in Dusk are the ones I would have chose (RiseGreymon and Angewomon).
And yeah, Azuraus is one of the people I was referring to when I said all four people here would be able to battle online. The other one I was referring to was Chaotic. And yay for the thread title change! Jam it back in, in the dark. |
