Haven't read Death Note, heard only of the film version, but I agree the poster looks good, very to the point. However, I have to say that it doesn't seem "standard-fare horror" at all. I finally got around to reading the manga,and I must say that I'm hooked. The fact that mangaka ends every goddamn chapter with a huge cliffhanger makes it addictive like crack. O_o

Even though it made sense storyline-wise for Raito to forfeit the Death Note,the manga has lost a bit of its charm after the first arc. It's just so unusual to see Raito honestly working alongside L... It's obvious he'll turn back into Kira at some point,though.
Also,I'm extremely pissed since I accidentally spoiled Ryuuzaki's death for myself. I just wanted to find some reviews,and instead I get this shit as one of the first search results. Fuck you,Google... >_<

Nice. IMHO, L's actor looks more like his counterpart than Light does. Someone mentioned that Fujiwara (Light) seems to lack "intensity"; I agree, at least from the pictures posted.

So I just got into Death Note since chato's been sporting that av/sig for what seems like forever (thanks buddy).

I'm fucking addicted.

I'm only into volume 2 of the manga so far and I'm eager to purchase the other two that are available domestically right now. This and Battle Angel Last Order are the only manga I'm actually putting money down for. Makes me feel kinda sexy.

I can only imagine the manga gets better, but from what I've heard about the more recent chapters, the series loses it's touch? What do you guys think?

I've also already been spoiled about L, sadly. Fortunately I don't exactly know:

It would seem that we will actually see Naomi's suicide...from what it looks like the scene was changed to have her blow her brains out in front of the police rather then in some place where here body will never be found.....

Yeah. Matsuda shooting down Yagami was just fucking awesome. Couldn't have been Aizawa. He did all the talk, Matsuda did the walk. I only wish he shot his hand off completely XD. The way Yagami said his father's name sounded like he didn't give a shit at all. heheh. Matsuda gets alot respect for being a cop. Every fan talked shit about him cause he acted too much like a kid in the first arc. If anyone deserved that role (to me), it had to be Matsuda himself. He stood by Yagami and was loyal to him. In truth, he respected Souichiro more. Can't wait to see that part animated someday.

In the end, Near said that he's just a lousy criminal with a dangerous weapon. I wonder what Near will do now that he finished the job. I hope to see at least one chapter of him just talking about his past or his relationship with L and Mello.

The next chapter is called The End. If it is the end, i know sure for that its going to have a neutral ending.

As for Movie, Tatsuya looks like he just got out of the dentist with a shitload of cottonballs in his mouth. In his young days, he looked exactly like Raito Yagami (battle royale). Im sure he'll do an ok job anyway. My expectations on L were true. He'll do a good job. If anyone seen the Live action NANA movie, he did alright.

I still have hopes for the movie, but IMHO, there will probably be more than 2 movies...
