Ahahahaha oh god the cheesiest solo at 1:34 what is this doing here this is not appropriate So here's Uncle CHz's Story Time about this version of Fantasy Zone II. The original Fantasy Zone was developed for Sega's System 16 arcade board and later downported to the Master System with reduced graphics and sound quality. Fantasy Zone II, however, was developed for the Master System first and later ported to the arcade using the System E platform, which is more or less a Master System in an arcade cabinet. This means that the arcade version looks and sounds the same as the home version, so there's no "real" arcade version of the game like there is for FZ1. That is, there wasn't, until Sega commissioned M2 twenty years later to create a System 16 version for inclusion in a Sega Ages compilation set and some special promotional cabinets. For the hypothetical "original" soundtrack as Hiro might've wrote it, Manabu Namiki took FZ2 melodies and put them on TOP of the backing tracks from FZ1 songs while spicing things up with some Namiki chords. So OPA-MARIMBA fuses the FZ2 stage two melody with some of the FZ1 stage two accompaniment (the 0:21–0:36 bit). It's a beautiful and fantastic work and I love it to death. Medieval Knights has awesome tonally weird stuff in it that comes with all that chord sample transposition and just the way stuff is composed around it, some really super cool stuff in all kinds of different ways overall throughout it really. Grew on me a lot every time I've listened to it so far. AHH FANTASY ZONE FM SYNTH _ _ _ pretty chord(s) I love~!~!~! I like the dissonant keyboard parts of Maninology - Chaos Akihabara more than the parts of Maninology - Chaos Akihabara that are not the dissonant keyboard parts of Maninology - Chaos Akihabara. Actually listening to it again for NO REASON I really like all the warpy filtered synths panning between the speakers too. Robotech Invasion Original Soundtrack - Approaching Invid Hive had electronic sounds that I noticed more than the sounds that weren't that. It has a pretty great atmosphere and I really love all the drum programming really. I might vote for this if I was more in the mood for "dark orchestra and choir" things right now but I'm not unfortunately ;-; Swordsman (Game Rip) - Mt Heng Sect has oriental melodies that emotionally grip me a fair amount so that's good.!1111 I also like the sound design a lot with those filtered drums and just the way the soaring wind instruments sound in mix with all this. Synth pads are pretty.
