The Anti-Battle: Take the eight lowest scoring tracks in SotW history; Vote on Worst of the Worst with negative points given out.

Contemplative Week: Music for thinking about, like, life or some junk. Yeah, we're real deep like that.

Follin Follies II: Electric Boogaloo: More music from the ever-popular Brothers Follin, who left VGM for the high-profile and exciting world of advertising.

Happy New VGM: Ring in the new year with celebratory music! I don't even know what that means, so ask Muzza. Muzza admits he didn't really think this one through so to save him some face let's pretend it was never here.

March of the Intros: Intro/main menu themes can be important for setting the mood of a game, regardless of genre. And they tend to be very short affairs, with some exceptions, so such a week could be an extended 60s week of sorts.

100% FABULOUS: VGM so gay, it would be right at home at a gay rave party.

ROCK'N Week: Remember all that BSC drama we had about ROCK'N years and years ago? Well it's like that, except we're doing it on purpose this time. Nominate the cheesiest electric guitar noodling you know.

Shmup Week: I already nominated like twenty-five shmup tracks in a row during a stretch several years ago, but if you guys wanna get on the bandwagon and nominate nothing but shmup music, that'd be pretty cool.

Showdown Week: Pick your favorite combat themes, and we'll pit them all against each other in combat in the SotW arena. So meta it hurts.

Damnit, just missed the deadline. Six-way tie this week. But if my votes would have counted this time, here's how I would have voted:

(3 points) Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Restoration of Erathia (Game Rip) - Combat01 - Not the strongest of melodies, but still sounds pretty good. Much better than the Heroes of Might and Magic spamming that went on with the last BSC/SAUS contest (I can't remember which).

(2 points) Alter Ego Dreamwalker OST - Magical Stroll - Fun little track. Reminds me of Yack's style.

(1 points) Descent (AdLib Game Rip) - Level 2 - This is an old-school blast. Not my favorite, everything's kind of muddy, but I do appreciate that underground feel to it.

BlitzLunar is actually one of the people with some of the most similar taste in music to me I can think of. In fact I'm pretty sure he was the one who I got linked to Quantum Sea Lindwurm by when I first heard it now that I think about it. So that's pretty funny that I nominated that the same week something by him was in this.

Given that Lunar's taste is pretty similar to mine it would only make sense that his own music would reflect that too, which it does! I actually don't know whether I prefer his remix of Magical Stroll or the original, I love both for very different reasons, but either way this version of Magical Stroll is super awesome synth/fusion MAGIC.

Oh yeah Descent how funny, when the adlib theme week idea came around my first idea was something from Descent actually, I didn't realize that the same person who suggested that actually nominated something from that game! Now if this places and that theme week happens too soon I'll have to pick something totally different! At least there's plenty of stuff to choose from. FM DOS MUSIC IS COOL

The other 3 didn't stand out to me as much but I didn't dislike them at all (though I don't dislike much music as is probably obvious by now).

The clarinet in "Menu Music" reminded me of Tomáš Dvorák and yep, this Might and Magic track is 13459x better than the BSC noms from the same series.

Except Dirt from BSC '05. When that voice comes in..... oooooohhh, so much feeling. Floating Across Water wasn't bad either. And there was an "Exploration Theme 1" or something (can't find it now) that was wonderful - started off with pastoral classical guitar, iirc.
