Your Best Dish

This may have been done. But not in recent memory.

Some of us cook a lot. Some of us don't.

What's the meal, dish, or other such preparation you feel you make the best? What do others say?

Tell us about your noms!

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I came up with a mean orange chicken recipe that always gets great reviews, and I'm a sucker for my salted chocolate chip cookies.

Anything I do with duck seems to turn out good.

Hey Drex, remember how we once tried to figure out Asian/Mexican fusion, and in the time since that conversation that culinary trend has come and gone?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I get about equal requests for my garlic stuffed mushrooms, six cheese bacon cheese fries, and bratwurst with sauerkraut.

Deep fried meatloaf is what I'm thinking is working best at the moment for me personally.

I was speaking idiomatically.

My decadent mac and cheese has found its way into the hearts, stomachs, and bowels of most people I know, but I've gotten rave reviews for my chicken parm as well.

I also make the most unbelievably decadent brownies you'll ever diabetes yourself to death with.

My decadent mac and cheese blah blah blah
I made a rich homemade mac and cheese once, but made WAY too much. My then-fiancee and I ended up eating it for weeks afterward, and we haven't wanted to make it again since. We're going on five and a half years now, and the thoughts of more of that mac and cheese still makes us a bit queasy.

How ya doing, buddy?

For me, it's this five layer dip that my family has been making for years. For as long as I can remember, I've never had someone give a negative review about it... Unless they were vegetarian.

But honestly? Nothing like a whole block of cream cheese to compliment a dish.

Oh man, I have a bean and beef dip recipe that I stole from my mother. I swapped the ground beef for some of that Quorn fake meat stuff, and it's become the stuff of legends even among my vegetarian friends. I'd eat it constantly, but I'm pretty sure it has about a year's worth of saturated fat per serving.

Also, my kimchi jjigae's pretty popular among the few people who are willing to try a giant bowl of questionable cabbage and tuna.

How ya doing, buddy?
