A Hypothetical Question on Typography
I got my mitts on this:

Which then puts this cleanly in the realm of the hypothetical. Why reinvent the wheel, after all? Having said that, what sort of typography would you use, if you were, hypothetically of course, turning this into English? A mockup can be found at: Spoiler:
But fonts and localization being what they are, there's literally too little room for many names to be located where they are on the original. Hence the Chinese subtitlers chose to include all and sundry on a black bar on the bottom. How would you, dear reader, use layout and typography in this instance? It depends. Presuming you've got nothing but ye olde basal fonts, something a bit rounded might apply, like Gill Sans.
Lots of exemplary free alternatives are out there. Just don't... don't Comic Sans it. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
