what musharraf is talking is that there were a rumor that after the closed beta there would be an open beta of Home in July ...

50 000 is a number that is not equal with the total number of PlayStation 3 owners AKA everyone (it is smaller)

an open beta is like when you can just register and you're automatically accepted and can play immediately, and a close beta is like when need to receive an invite to be able to play so the number of participants is restricted but I suppose you already knew all that >.>

Perhaps they mean "First 50000 get access to the beta" so it's not quite closed because anyone can get it, but it's not really open because not everyone can get it.

anyway on another note apparently the heavenly sword demo is suppose to come out july 26 in europe. Some say that US might get it this week.

I can't wait to try this game!

Yeah, I REALLY want to try out Heavenly Sword. I was actually expecting the demo to be released last week during E3 along with Lair, but oh well.

I want to get my hands on the Lair demo as well, because I'm not really sure what to expect of this game. I have heard so many different things about it, both good and bad :/.

Wait a second... lair is actually going to turn out to be a good game? With the "price drop" and upcoming games that I actually want to play, I'm considering buying a 60G PS3.

Well, Disgaea 3 was just announced. I don't know if that's considered the first 'big' RPG though. I personally love most of the Nippon Ichi games, but I wouldn't consider them a Final Fantasy in terms of 'big'.

Also holy hell. LOCO ROCO FOR PS3. WITH TILT CONTROLS. Why are the PSN games pretty much the coolest thing on PS3 right now.

Something else I just read, Katamari Damacy Creator Delivers New PS3 Game. While it sucks that Katamari is remaining a 360 exclusive, at the same time I would almost want a brand new innovative game over something I have played 3 different times already :\. BUT HAY. THAT'S JUST ME.

Jesus that's a lot of PS3 news for me in one day.

I can testify Lair is indeed going to be fantastic. At least for flight sections.

I've no comment on the land battles myself. They were pretty shitty in the very early builds I played, and I didn't get to try them in the newest code.

I've been pretty uncomfortable with the tilt sensor, but Lair felt like the sensor was designed specifically for it. It simply made sense. Dragon flight felt so wonderfully natural I almost pray there will be a free flight mode in the game that will let you just chill out and cruise around on your dragon, away from the overblown drama and epic of the storyline.

The scale was deliciously massive in the latest code, though.

Great news and things are looking up for us, but somehow I don't think Katamari can stay 360-exclusive for long. With PS3 sales and game releases looking up as it is, they'll regret their decision sooner or later.

Why?

Katamari is a huge hit in Japan, and the fanbase it has here are mostly Sony fanboys, I would think. Thats two regions in which its biggest fans won't own a 360. So unless its incredible and changes the face of Katamari, it probably won't sell on 360. I doubt those Japanese would buy a 360 just to play Katamari, but they've done weirder things, so who knows.

as for the open beta I,m not so sure anymore :\ I think there was no official announcement (yet) that there will be a open beta in July, so that's why I said that the open beta is a rumor, but I'm not discarding that we might get it someday...

Anybody remember White Knight Story? This game completely fell off my radar. Apparently they have a demonstration of the game up, and they're going to have a playable demo for TGS. Via IGN, this little snippet sounded pretty cool -

Depends on what kind of RPGs you like, dude.

For instance, Oblivion is already out, but yeah, as for Japanese RPGs, you might want to wait for FFXIII.

Wow, I completly forgot White Knight story, hope to see some nice videos of it when TGS comes. That game looked hot.

And more Loco Roco! I love those cute buggers.

Though I doubt I'll be playing them till next year, but its nice that theres gonna be a new installment despite sales slumping in Japan.

well there's always enchanted arms but I'm not sure if it's worth the purchase, but I heard EBgames is selling it for 20$ now so maybe for that price...

yeah Oblivion is pretty much the BIGGEST RPG to come in terms of size and greatness. Should check it out 0_o

Just get a 360, 5 billion games coming out this fall. Along with three MASSIVE RPGS.
