Speech to Text Program
Hey guys,
I wanna try writing some short stories and stuff, but simply writing makes me loose my attention span, as well as the problem that I can't type as fast as I talk, and I'm crazy about editing my errors the second they happen, which slows me down. So I was wondering if anybody knew of some voice recognition software that is able to perform a fast and accurate speech-to-text translation. I'd really appreciate the info as this could really help me out with this. Thanks in advance! Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Dragon Naturally Speaking is pretty popular.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
I think you're still going to have to spend a significant amount of time fixing errors as they happen with speech to text since last I heard with them it was kinda hard to nail punctuation and all those sorts of things.

Microsoft Windows XP comes with built-in speech recognition as well.
I believe these software are claiming 95% accuracy. 5 mistakes for every 100 words though is still unacceptable, methinks! I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
